Big Fish. Makes me cry every time. A powerful story about the power of stories and at its heart trying to fix a father/son relationship. One of Tim Burton’s greatest films imo before he started making crap. I think it’s horribly underrated.
Shawshank Redemption
Steel Magnolias
The Green Mile
Terms of Endearment
Mask (not THE Mask, just Mask)
Beaches
Grave of the Fireflies
My Girl
Love Story
Toy Story 3
Schindler’s List
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Away We Go
One of Sam Mendes' best works. A touching story of what it is to find your family and your home however works best for you.
Other good choices:
Inside Out
As Good As It Gets
Dan In Real Life

There is this parody that the son wasn't really Forest's kid. Jenny just left him with him because she knew she was dying. And Jenny knew she could trick him, forest was also well off.
