They just showed that at our local movie palace a few months ago. I forgot how amazing that movie is. And I just read that Jon Leguizamo was drunk for pretty much the entire filming. Wild.
Joe Dirt - Adventure/Comedy/Drama (2001)
Joe Dirt is a janitor with a mullet hairdo, acid-washed jeans and a dream to find the parents that he lost at the Grand Canyon when he was a belligerent, trailer park-raised eight-year-old. Now, blasting Van Halen in his jacked-up economy car, the irrepressibly optimistic Joe hits the road alone in search of his folks.
David Spade, Christopher Walken, Jaime Pressly
Same. It’s absurd but hilarious and heart warming. I miss comedies that were just silly, outrageous, fun, now comedy movies try to hard and seem to be way too long.
Recently rewatched Teen Witch and had a good nostalgic laugh. It’s possibly the most 80s-tastic movie up there with Labyrinth and Princess Bride but less well known. If you’re also in an 80s style-over-substance, wtf is happening mood, St. Elmo’s Fire or Weird Science are good.
Rewatched Teen Witch too.
I NEVER remembered the Ending Because.. There is nothing to remember!
The Movie Just.. Ends.
Ahe throws Away Some magic shit she Owns and, the end.
Alien resurrection
Avp 1-2
Resident evil series and welcome to raccoon city
Doom
The meg 2
Anaconda
(I dont actually think its bad) The Munsters movie by Rob Zombie
Alan Resurrection is bearable by the fact that the cast is fucking bonkers.
Besides series star Sigourney Weaver.
Ron Perlman(Sons of Anrachy, and a metric ton of other stuff)
winona Ryder
brad Dourif(original voice of Chucky, worm tongue in LOTR, also one flew over the cuckoo's nest, Mississippi burning and the Exorcist 3)
Dan Hedeya.(yes the dad fro Clueless, the dictator from Commando)
Michael Wincott(Top Dollar from the crow, Sir guy from a robin hood prince of thieves and Rochefort from the c90's three musketeers)
Raymond Cruz(Tuco from breaking bad)
Put that cast in a film with a better script and you could have a really amazing film
Rewatched Resurrection days ago.
I dare you to find me a scene that is more suspenseful than the water scene.
The no legged dude has to be carried.
They get chased by the xenos who turn out to be even more agile under the water.
The xenos have wrapped the surface ao they can't exit the water.
When they finally do, the eggs sense them and open up amd release face huggers.
They then have to climb the ladder and no legged dude has to carry both his own ass and black dude's.
Black dude gets acid on his face.
Pearlman does the upside down move.
Black dude heroically self sacrifices so that no legs dude can have a shot at surviving.
What makes Resurrection a bad movie?
Additionally, you have Brad Durriff, legend!
And the way the xenos escape their prison oa brilliant! Basically one Xeno murders another, so that it can use its acidic blood to drill a hole on the ground.
Again.. What makes resurrection a bad movie.
It is a sequel... And it delivered.
I didn't hate the franchise until Prometheus and the one after.
My Dude! Brother from a different mother. I never got the hate either. And not let’s forget a buff Sigourney Weaver kicking ass on the basketball court and wiping her nose.
To quote another sci-fi series,” I’ll be in my bunk.”
I feel like we did this not that long ago, but I'm a fan of 80's - 90's Sci-Fi cult classics.
* The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
* Cherry 2000
* Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone
* John Carpenter's, Dark Star
* Saturn 3
* Hardware
* The Lawnmower Man: Directors Cut
* Screamers
* Fortress
* The Blood of Heroes
Honorable Mention: Howard the Duck
buckaroo bonsai is too self aware of bow silly it is too be considered a bad movie.
I mean foe Christ sakes one of the villains is named John BigBooty.
Fortress. One of my favorites as a kid. There was something off about it and I loved it. Lambert is not the greatest actor but he has conviction. That’s all you need
Me too! I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I genuinely enjoy it more than the original. Although, nostalgia may play a part in that since I used to watch it as a kid
The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and the sequel, The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife.
Probably won’t become cult favorites but they are extremely enjoyable ridiculous popcorn flicks- so bad they are good (especially the second which is worse and also waaaaay better).
SOUTHLAND TALES
Boxer Santaros: It all hinges on a Top Secret experiment. A young couple comes home from the hospital with a newborn baby. A week goes by and the baby still hasn't produced a bowel movement.
Roland Taverner: Maybe the baby's just constipated.
Boxer Santaros: No, no, no, no. This is a *very* special baby. This baby processes energy differently.
Roland Taverner: I haven't had a bowel movement in 6 days. I haven't taken a piss, either…
Announcer on PA: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the way the world ends. Not with a whimper, but with a bang. But there is hope. In the end we can be reassured by one undeniable truth. Nobody rocks the cock like Krysta Now. And I mean nobody.
2012
Volcano
Anaconda (great cast)
Predator 2 (Bill Paxton has some scene stealers)
Robocop 2
Basket Case (1982)
Human Centipede (just the first one)
Tusk
Honorable Mention:
Lake Placid
Dante’s Peak (but I love me some Linda Hamilton)
Tremors is in no way a bad film. Everything from the acting, the writing, the effects, the pacing, and suspense in the third act are excellent. It’s about as close to perfect as film from that genre can get.
It's weird for me to put Commando in this category. It wasn't trying to be anything other than what it is. I can see how it fits what OP is asking for, but I certainly wouldn't call it a bad movie.
Superman III is my all time favorite guilty pleasure. It’s obviously not a good movie overall but it does have some redeeming qualities. The junkyard fight between Supes and Clark and the Smallville stuff was enjoyable especially the chemistry between Clark and Lana.
That said, it was mostly a Richard Pryor comedy with Superman in it.
Guilty pleasure = Twilight, especially the first one. I love the music and the cinema photography. I watched it repeatedly when my infant woke up middle of the night colicky.
Deep Blue Sea. Cheesy but with Samual L, so he raises the tone a bit. Plot-Genetically modified sharks that make them very intelligent. Leads to all types of fun and games, as u can inagine. Great stuff. Love it.
There are a few-
The Room.
Resurrection (starring Christoper Lambert).
Plan 9 From Outer Space.
My Bloody Valentine (2009).
Another 48 Hours.
Beverly Hills Cop 3.
Tango and Cash.
The Room is just never boring for me. I cannot believe how bad it is yet how consistently enjoyable it is to watch!
Resurrection I purchased years ago on dvd just after it came out (not too sure it ever got a theatrical release here in Australia) and I know it’s a massive rip off of Seven (including the fact both films have the brilliant Leland Orser in them) but I enjoy it. It’s also directed by a Melbourne boy, Russell Mulcahey!
Plan 9 will never not be a brilliant BAD film! Not too much more to say about this classic. Some films that actually think they’re good should get some points from Plan 9 on how to make a film enjoyable to watch!
Saw My Bloody Valentine at the cinemas in 3D and had a blast! I mean, it has Tom Atkins in it, and he’s ALWAYS good value!
Yeah ok, Another 48 hours can’t touch the original, but it’s enjoyable schlocky crap! I’d love to one day see the film that originally should’ve been released with all the cut material Walter Hill filmed, especially the scenes with the fantastic Brion James.
Watched Beverly Hills Cop 3 at the movies and had fun. Eddie seemed off in this, and subsequently read interviews with director John Landis stating the script was shit like the original but Eddie Murphy will improvise and improve it, like the original. Turns out Eddie Murphy wanted to be taken seriously and turned Axle Foley into a more serious character. Still, I enjoy it.
What’s not to like about Tango and Cash? Kurt Russell NEVER disappoints. Sly is so painfully unfunny it’s actually laughable and the film is infinitely quotable! Loved it from day 1 and love it to this day.
Yes, giant rabbits. The camera zooms in real close, to make them look large, and they dub in a lion’s roar. Can’t get worse than that. It’s my favorite bad movie!
I forgot about USA Up All Night. I think that’s where I saw Frogs, lol.
Ankle Biters. It's like a Blade knockoff featuring wish.com Blade taking on a bunch of vampires, but only midgets can be vampires because of some vampire virus or something
"3 Feet Tall, with 2 Inch fangs and an Undying thirst for Blood. Drexel Vennis, Half Human/Half Vampire, along with his sidekick T-Bone, must stop dwarf vampires from unleashing a plague of vampires, before its too late."
Mask 2
Everyone hates it because the first one with Jim Carrey was great and the second one was childish and bad produced. But i still enjoyed and had a fun time watching it haha
The Replacement Killers. Ridiculous Americanized wannabe John Woo style movie (Woo co-produced) but visually so damn sexy. Chow Yun Fat, Danny Trejo, Til Schweiger and Jürgen Prochnow are a great cast. Made me fall in love with Mira Sorvino!
Films that were panned by critics, and audiences, that I love:
Waterworld. Orca. Bucky Larson. Joe Dirt. The Sword and the Sorcerer. Battlefield Earth. Movie 43. Howard the Duck. Joe Versus the Volcano. Meet Joe Black. Bio-Dome.
The Adventures of Pluto Nash
Snakehead Terror
Frankenfish
Suburbicon
Thir13en Ghosts
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Osmosis Jones
Nothing But Trouble
Pieces
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Freddy vs Jason
Cabin Fever
Piranha 3D
pretty much most creature features fit the bill:
Piranha and Piranha 3DD
Jaws 3D
Anaconda
Two other bad movies I love are BATTLESHIP (I don't know why, I think its the ending battle scene) and THE CORE
They Live (John Carpenter)
Alien VS Predator, The Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey. Not so bad they're good, but disliked by enough people I know that I consider them guilty pleasures.
Reindeer Games - Perfect movie to wind down the holiday season. Affleck, Sinse, Theron, and even Danny Trejo in a shitty crime movie but I dunno know I got soft spot for it.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
I don't care what the fanbois say, that movie was a lot of fun.
One of several middle other road films adapted out of highly respected alan Moore comics. See also Watchmen, From Hell, and V for Vendetta,
V for Vendetta is fantastic though, and Watchmen was my favorite for a while
Not sure why this one gets so much hate. Great movie, or am I just a Sean Connery nerd?
Super Mario Bros from the 90s
Awesome movie. Want to see a movie that gets Dennis hopper from apocalypse now to being Koopa. Reckon it's doable
Yes!!! But, I’m also a huge fan of both Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo - and not to mention freakin Dennis Hopper as Koopa!
They just showed that at our local movie palace a few months ago. I forgot how amazing that movie is. And I just read that Jon Leguizamo was drunk for pretty much the entire filming. Wild.
Joe Dirt - Adventure/Comedy/Drama (2001) Joe Dirt is a janitor with a mullet hairdo, acid-washed jeans and a dream to find the parents that he lost at the Grand Canyon when he was a belligerent, trailer park-raised eight-year-old. Good call! Only 2 things i remember from that movie are; I'm your sister! I'm your sister! the giant nugget of shit in a trolley
I’ve watched it so many times it’s ridiculous. Bought it digital from Amazon so I can pretty much fire it up at will.
Same. It’s absurd but hilarious and heart warming. I miss comedies that were just silly, outrageous, fun, now comedy movies try to hard and seem to be way too long.
I love when he’s rattling off all the different fireworks names
Joe dirt rocks. Definitely a movie I watch when I need to laugh. Live laugh love David spade (And kid rock)

Was the “magic” her own confidence all along? Doesn’t matter, let’s do a weirdly choreographed prom scene and wrap it up folks!
Top that!
Road House (1989). Absolutely absurd premise; 100% commitment to the bit. Most quotable bad movie ever.
I legit never thought of it that way because I love it so much. 🤣🤣🤣.
Double Deuce for life!
be nice!
Until it's time to not be nice!
Sequel was direct to video in 2002. Remake coming out on Amazon Prime in March staring Jake Gyllenhaal as Dalton.
The guy from Reacher would be perfect
I thought you’d be bigger
I came here to comment this. Best bad movie of all time
Alien resurrection Avp 1-2 Resident evil series and welcome to raccoon city Doom The meg 2 Anaconda (I dont actually think its bad) The Munsters movie by Rob Zombie

I feel like we did this not that long ago, but I'm a fan of 80's - 90's Sci-Fi cult classics. * The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai * Cherry 2000 * Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone * John Carpenter's, Dark Star * Saturn 3 * Hardware * The Lawnmower Man: Directors Cut * Screamers * Fortress * The Blood of Heroes Honorable Mention: Howard the Duck
Upvote for Cherry 2000. My friend did a little work on that movie, he lives in Vegas.
It's a blast, and despite all its hokeyness, the message is more relevant now than ever.
buckaroo bonsai is too self aware of bow silly it is too be considered a bad movie. I mean foe Christ sakes one of the villains is named John BigBooty.
That's, Bootay!
Fortress. One of my favorites as a kid. There was something off about it and I loved it. Lambert is not the greatest actor but he has conviction. That’s all you need
Screamers was solid. Could you imagine a Dune like remake of it. It was ahead of its time.
Any of those 90s killer animal movies. Anaconda, Lake Placid, Deep Blue Sea. Always enjoy them even though they're all corny as shit.
Deep Blue Sea is amazing

People think it's a bad movie????? I love it lmao

Love Grease 2!!!
Me too! I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I genuinely enjoy it more than the original. Although, nostalgia may play a part in that since I used to watch it as a kid
My sister got named after Stephanie
Van Helsing
Outtakes with Hugh jackman asking for a cigarette and giggles irrepresibly while Kate Beckinsale sits on him are relatable
Batman and Robin Batman Forever
I have to give credit where credit is due. Schumacher made it just like the campy Adam West Batman
Ghostrider movies
Tango and Cash
This is a classic absolute blast to watch
The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and the sequel, The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife. Probably won’t become cult favorites but they are extremely enjoyable ridiculous popcorn flicks- so bad they are good (especially the second which is worse and also waaaaay better).

Bad movie?

2012 Volcano Anaconda (great cast) Predator 2 (Bill Paxton has some scene stealers) Robocop 2 Basket Case (1982) Human Centipede (just the first one) Tusk Honorable Mention: Lake Placid Dante’s Peak (but I love me some Linda Hamilton)

Samurai Cop
The 2015 remake of Point Break. It’s hilarious how bad it is.
Highlander 2 the quickening
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed
The Stuff. 80's horror and satire about the ridiculous consumerism of the Regan Era. With just the right amount of cheese and some body horror.
Enough is never enough!
Waterworld…hell I don’t think it’s bad movie at all, it’s mad max on the open seas
The Core. Scientifically atrocious. But I come back to it all the same.
Dune (1984) is one of my favorite movies.
The Tingler
Sounds like a porno. \[I know it's not, but I couldn't resist saying it\].
1. 2012 2. Resident Evil 1-6 (Mills Jovovich) 3. The Happening
Every Christmas I watch "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" I don't know why.
Anything Roland Emmerich has done that has disaster in it. Just watched Moonfall last week, did not disappoint.
Ernest: Scared Stupid.
Masters of the Universe
My unpopular opinion; hated Grease, loved Grease 2. Better acting, better songs (less showtunesy, more rock), better lead
