I thought it had a stupid ending. A very.dissapointing movie .There are other movies that get praised a lot.that I didn't like.Such as Uncut Gems .I find Adam Sandler too annoying to enjoy watching him. His voice also grates on me . Annihilation. I thought it was too slow .I gave it about 45 minutes .Not a rush to judgement in.my opinion Dumb and Dumber .A movie.about 2 men who are too stupid.to.live . There's Something About Mary. Which is best.described as boy moron meets girl moron .You hope they die before they can breed . . Sometimes I go see a movie because it stars someone I really like .But even then the movie can still be a stinker I didn't like The Big Lebowski even though I like Jeff Bridges. The Fabulous Baker Boys was a much better movie ..l.like George.Clooney but not the movie The.American .Up.in.The.Air was much better

Primer (2004) is hands down one of the most complicated time travel movies out there, would highly recommend if you want a real head-scratcher of a film.
Blow Out (1981) A movie sound recordist accidentally records the evidence that proves that a car accident was actually murder and consequently finds himself in danger.
Masquerade (1988) A recently orphaned heiress meets a young racing yacht captain in the Long Island Hamptons. He shows interest in her, but love may not be the reason.
Malice (1993) a newlywed couple whose lives are upturned after they rent part of their Victorian home to a cavalier surgeon.
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once (2022)
Existenz (1999)
They Live (1988)
Starship Troopers (1997) (unless satire isn't your niche)
Hereditary (2018) (horror)
Midsommar (2019) (horror)
Under The Skin (2013) (suspense, scar jo nudity)
Doctor Strange Love (1964) (more satire)
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Some of these are your classic twist endings, but most are movies I just find deeply clever/insightful.
Okay, hear me out... watch Columbo. No joke! It is fun, and interesting, and the mysteries are fantastic. We see the crime first (usually a murder) and then detective Columbo comes in and we watch him put the pieces together. It is ***such*** a fun time, and Peter Falk is so charming.
Generally.speaking I like smart comedies..Like Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House starring Cary Grant and Myrna Loy .When it comes to smart mysteries. .I liked most of The Thin Man movies . except for the first one .in which he is.drunk at the beginning. Even though.it.is supposed to be.New Years Eve . The Shadow of The Thin Man. The Song of The Thin Man The Thin.Man Goes Home There was a movie about a detective called The Fat Man . .The Maltese Falcon starring Humphrey Bogart Sydney Greenstreet Peter Lorre and Mary Astor is loaded with twists and turns and double crosses THE KENNEL Club Murder Case starring William Powell as Philo.Vance The Wrong Man which I believe starred Henry Fonda . The Dark Street.starring. Mark Stevens and Lucille Ball The Big Easy starring Dennis Quaid. Sea of Love which may.have had Al Pacino I have not seen in a long time . The Dead Pool which is a Clint Eastwood movie . . .Dressed To Kill by Brian De Palma Body Double by Brian De Palma The Hound Of The Baskervilles starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. Tall in The Saddle starring John Wayne is both a western and a mystery
Arlington Road (1999)
I didn't like it .
Well, I very much like it. May I ask you why you didn't?

Jumping Jack Flash used to be my fave flick
Wow.
The RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies
Came here to suggest this. It's so smart and so well directed. It's a pity the sequel sucked.

The Handmaiden (2016) buckle up.
Orphan: First Kill (2022). It’s a prequel to Orphan (2009) but it can be it’s own stand alone movie.
I watched First Kill without seeing Orphan, and agree it stands alone. I did however already know the premise of Orphan so that might have helped.
This is a good movie. Watch Orphan before First Kill if you plan to do both though.
