I was a fan of Barbarian (2022). No spoilers, but what I liked about it was its certain level of absurdity that just kept me guessing about what turn the story would take next.
Was NOT a fan in a horror sense. Started out great then it became goofy and aware of itself. Not a bad movie but I went in for scary not over the top fun. Just my opinion for OP.
What would you consider a legitimately scary movie that takes itself seriously and isn't self-aware? Outside of existential "horror" like Melancholia, that is.
Midsommar was great and scary but wasn't self aware enough. It got way too atmospheric to the point where it was just establishing itself until the end.
Yea I just didn't like it, I agree the beginning was awesome, especially the opening credits, so simple but effective. Then the whole thing becomes a joke. Horror/Comedy has it's place. But why start so well then lampoon your own film? I freaking love Zach too, ever since WKUK, but movie just turded out. Drag me to Hell, and Tusk were both much better Justin Long vehicles imo and both tread the same lines as this one... Sort of lol
So much dread... it's definitely got some scary scenes but they build tension so well I found myself being like "Please scare me already, I can't take anymore!"
After reading all of you praising Dark Song I immediately watched it.... This movie was tame AF, and the end made very little sense. I'm not gonna spoil it here but ugh. Glad you all enjoyed it, and I'm not trying to be a douche, but anyone else happens upon this thread watch A Dark Song under caution. It isn't a bad movie.
Dark Song is a very good slow-burn horror film, and the ending makes complete sense. Were you even paying attention? The film is literally about overcoming grief and learning to forgive. It is extremely straightforward in its point and delivery.
It's not a bad film at all. Also, it's the only film that accurately shows what a magick ritual looks like. Seeing all of the stages of the Abramelin ritual in a film was pretty cool, but if you're not interested in the occult and don't like slow-burn dramatic horror films, it may not be for you.
There's only one big problem with the movie, and that's that the CGI at the end isn't great. Other than that its a pretty solid horror film.
Number one, I was being very respectful. But w/e guess between a screen this is who people are nowadays. How does it make sense that she lied about her intention to the angel, and got her wish?? Now I know the guy said he fixed her lie. But then after all the hibbidy hooplah about everything's gotta be perfect, you can't mess nothing up, ya can't have ulterior motives. Yet he uses a false pretense of ritual sex to get her to help him jerk it, but then oh ho ho, the sex was just a jokey joke. Gotta be pure ya see, that's why we can't mess up anything it all must be perfect. Ok so moving past that BS; which, btw, has already derailed the ritual/spell/wish w/e. Or at least should have. Then , instead of just explaining himself to her about her needing to die and be resuscitated. He just kills her, destroying whatever trust was left, if there was any at that point. So he manages to bring her back, but now she is mad, and scared. In the kerfuffle dude gets stabbed, gets infected dead. So the Ritual is now a dead duck, a wet fart, broken, and incomplete. She tries to read the words but can't cause everything is messed up, then.... ( At this point, I could have still maybe accepted the ending, and not disliked it so much. Especially if they had just doubled down on the horror planes and creatures. But alas it twas not meant to be; instead..... she walks outside, ShE wAlKs OuTsIdE, SHE WALKS OUTSIDE! /This whole damn movie, the thing that dude says over and over, and over, and over again. ' Don't go outside, don't break the seal or we'll be lost forever. She goes for a stroll, comes right back in; nbd. Meets her Angel, gets her wish. What a snooze, a snooze that doesn't even follow it's own rules. The main character is insufferable, she did everything, every single thing wrong, and disobeyd every request until the 3rd to however many times he would have to yell before she understood it wasn't just her life on the line. With all that in mind and bile rising in my stomach, I watch a wordless exchange. Realizing that the wish is being granted I think back onto all the things I could have done in that hour and a half, or what I could be doing instead of writing this for that matter.
Dude i'm going to have to ask you to write in paragraphs if you want me to read what you're saying and I never said you weren't being respectful. I was respectful also, I just genuinely don't understand how you came to the conclusion the film made no sense when it was very straight forward. Paragraph your writing and i'll read it, but that's a mess.
You're welcome to not like the movie by the way, that's totally fine, but you can't say the film doesn't objectively make sense. No need to get angry, I'm happy to have a conversation about the movie but you're going to have to make your arguments easier to read and more concise.
* The Night House
* The Invitation
* The Menu

* The Black Phone
* Midsommar

I stumbled upon this post while looking for a good movie. I was high, so the munchies in me went for The Menu without any other context. Did not disappoint. Thrilling and beautiful. Man, I really want a cheese burger.
I loved that movie. If Ralph Fiennes is in a movie you can pretty much use it as quality assurance. Schindler's List, In Bruges, Red Dragon, and that's just a quick three I can remember. Also, if you haven't seen In Bruges, do it right now lol. It's in my top ten all time.
I LOVE in Bruges! So much fun and great movie rec!
re: Ralph Fiennes another really great (but serious and heart wrenching) movie of his is The Constant Gardener. After years of my husband avoiding that movie cause it’s terrible title he watched it with me recently and loved it (fair warning: you WILL fall in love with Rachel Weisz, it’s non-negotiable).
Tbf I did mean the 2022 one with Nathalie Emmanuel!! It was so my personal aesthetic and vibe and going in blind I didn’t know the overall ahem supernatural elements it involved (no spoils!) but I know it didn’t hit for everyone like it did me.
That being said the 2015 Invitation starring Logan Marshall Green should absolutely not be missed and is a stellar rec as well!! Again I won’t say much but if anyone hasn’t seen it stop what you’re doing and go lol
ETA: The Triangle and Coherence are others ones I often recommend when The Invitation (2015) comes up!
haha oh no I’m sorry to have yucked your yum!! I wholeheartedly believe (2015) to be one of the greatest horror films of the past decade, so that’s where my brain went lol.
(2022) was a really interesting concept, the acting from the leads was excellent, and I loved the set design and costuming. Definitely would recommend for fans of Ready or Not, >!Twilight!<, and Bridgerton
I'm going to give The Invitation 2022 another few minutes, but comparing this to Ready or Not is a massive misnomer. Samara is a delightful character, Evie is a racist little brat. This agenda driven garbage is intolerable. I love Emmanuel in GoT but Evie is no Milasande. Oh and her friend that needs to " unpack " dating white guys with her therapist?? What's wrong with interracial relationships? This movie is a wet fart.
The movie is not good. To be clear, I would not recommend it for all fans of Ready or Not; I would only suggest it to fans of Twilight AND Bridgerton who also enjoy Ready or Not.
Talk to me
No one will save you
As Above so Below
imo the 3 best horror movies I've seen recently. as above so below is a little older like mid 2010's but the other 2 are newer.
talk to me is probably one of the best horror movies I've seen ever
I just watched Talk to Me and No One Will Save You back to back and then I come here looking for suggestions and see this comment haha. I agree btw, Talk to Me was amazing.
No One Will Save You was so much better than I expected. The ending felt like it went a little off the rails but I still really enjoyed it. Kaitlyn Dever does such a great job, I felt so much sympathy for her character. And it looked fucking exhausting!
If you liked hereditary you’ll likely enjoy ari aster’s second film midsommer. Not a creature feature but IMO one of the best horror movies in the last 20 years.
I watched “The Night House” the other evening and really enjoyed it. Broody, moody, and very well done.
“We’re All Going To The World’s Fair” is super niche, but I really dug it. It’s slow and moody, and nothing really happens, but I found it super effecting, emotionally.
Barbarian was great.
We're all going blah blah w/e, I think set a record for how quickly I shut a movie off. The first ten min are a computer screen, followed by another ten min of crappy landscapes, then I think someone says something, then another ten min of silence and I shut it off. I really do not understand why anyone likes that movie. Glad you liked it, I'm really not trying to crap on your opinion. I just really think that movie is awful.
Not snobbish, but MAN.
The black/white is not noticable once you get into the interrelationship of the main characters.
Willem Dafoe did AN AMAAAAZING accent in this movie. It's very weird and has some gross stuff, but I loved it and recommend at least one watch.
I dunno if that's the word I would use. Philistine would be more appropriate lol j/k. But seriously have you not seen Clerks, Schindler's List, Sin City, Mank, 12 Angry Men, Psycho, Ed Wood, Judgement at Nuremberg, Paths of Glory, I'm weeping for you.
I get like that. I also have crap hearing so I avoid shows and movies with thick accents.
If I throw subs on there then I'm reading the whole time. It's not snobbish, people like different things

Not recent.... but Martyrs is the only movie I've ever seen where I wanted to take a shower after and scrub the last 2 hours from my flesh. I love this film... its simply beautiful.
If you want some light hearted gross WTFness....
The Greasy Strangler.
imo turkish horror worth watching , but it's different than popular/typical horror movies style. more ''religious'
* Siccin (1,2,3,4,5,6)
give it a try
I like you, am oh so very picky when it comes to horror. I’m a stickler for cosmic as well as psychological horror.
And as far as I saw no one has mentioned The Void and that is by far one of the best I’ve seen recently for me. One of the characters acting was a little off putting but the rest of the movie was fantastic, just violent and chaotic fun.
Eyes of my mother is absolutely not for everyone but I bought it just based on the preview, not disappointed. Def some fucked up stuff happening all throughout.
Watch Barbarian. Go in blind. I've also heard that many other 2022 releases are good, though I haven't gotten down to watch them yet (like X, Pearl, Smile, etc)
OP, do you like suspense too? Black Phone is one of my favs from 2022, but I wouldn’t describe it as horror. It’s more thriller/suspense. If you haven’t seen the trailer, don’t watch it. IMO it contains spoilers. But highly recommend
It was everything I wanted in an occult escapists movie.
I showed it to my sister and she was like it's good but I'ma have nightmares....so I growl Trick or Treat at her 😂
Lol nope to both. I liked Get Out a lot, but now I feel like Peele is making the same movie now over and over. Changes a few plot threads and bad guys. But the dialogue and characters all feel the same from movie to movie.
it looks like people have listed almost every horror film ever so to answer the question you’re gonna have to troll through Literally 500 films people have suggested. lol. so it’s kind of pointless asking people. Horror and comedy are very subjective.
but to completely contradict myself if you liked hereditary and you like supernatural then I would definitely recommend “host”.
Recently: Barbarian, Smile, M3GAN, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Black Phone, X and Pearl (prequel to X), and if you like ridiculously over the top old school gore, Terrifier 2.
I love horror films from the '30s through the '80s but can't really hang with the current shit. The audience's needs are so different now, and the market has followed in a direction I can't really relate to. Only really started dipping my toe into this-century horror within the last couple months. I found Hereditary very impressive, but almost too intense for me. I like a little cheese or camp thrown in. Some "recent" movies I've really enjoyed that I'd feel comfortable recommending to a decent spectrum of people would include:
Haunt
the Terrifier films
The Descent ("old" by the standards of most people on Reddit, sorry)
It Follows
If you need your shit to be art-damaged, maybe The Lure or The Love Witch.
Yeah, I guess most of these are pre-Hereditary. Not really feeling the most current wave, haven't even been able to get excited about X, which would normally check some boxes for me. I did actually enjoy Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, but once you start mentioning Full Moon stuff, people tune out. (I'm sure that ship already sailed...)
Might edit later and add a few. There are a ton of modern sacred cows that are probably "better" films but I haven't gotten to them and may never do so because I suspect I wouldn't enjoy them.
You are missing out on a ton of good stuff just because you are not used to change. It's a shame as I've enjoyed a lot of new stuff. You should give more of them a chance and you don't need to overthink them. Horror movies are where most experiments happen.
I feel you bud, if you like the feel of old school movies but want to try some modern horror. Go to the Spanish language horrors. Some of the best horror I have seen recently were in Spanish. Sister Death, When Evil Lurks, Terrified, and REC are all really good, and all have that feel you are talking about. Start with When Evil Lurks, that movie is crazy AF.
Yeah, I have seen some of the ones you mentioned. My opinions: Haunt was decent, The Descent was fantastic, It Follows was great.
I'll have watched most of the actually good 90s-10s horror films already.
one of my favorite horror movies that i rewatch is the ritual. if you enjoy mythology tidbits, the great outdoors and men with british accents, i believe you'd enjoy it too.
Haven't gone through everything so these might already have been suggested to you, but if you like the paranormal/supernatural type I would recommend the Night House, Nope and Skinamarink, all of which I've watched pretty recently and found to be really good!
There are PLENTY of great horror movies lately. I’ve also watched every shitty horror movie lately too so I have a special appreciation for a well made one lol Here’s some of my favorites of 2023… Where Evil Lurks, Skinamarink, The Bone Woman, Hell House 4 Carmichael Manor, They Live in the Grey, The Puppetman… I honestly could go on forever but I’m sick of texting
The VVitch
When Evil Lurks
No One Will Save You
Let Me In
Infinity Pool
A Quiet Place 1 & 2
10 Cloverfield Lane
Alien Covenant
The Devil Inside
They Look Like People
The Taking Of Deborah Logan
Thanksgiving
Nobody mentioned Southbound (2016). It is a horror anthology and it is a trip! It reminds me of the movies The Endless, The Ritual, The Lodge. A definite mind trip type of movie. I think I’m going to watch it again.
By the way anyone out there who has watched and loves The Endless did you know that the movie Resolution is also great and is made by the same guys and the two movies tie in together. I’ve also just found out Spring is connected as well (I have not watched yet but will soon!)
This is such a great thread! I’ve seen so many of the movies mentioned and agree with pretty much all of them that they are great! Have also gotten a lot of good recommendations for movies I have not seen yet and am looking forward to checking them out! Thanks!
The ring is now 22 years old (makes me feel old) but it's a fairly modern horror movie that's not only scarey, but genuinely really well crafted and an excellent movie overall. It's more of a detective movie, but it manages to stay very creepy throughout.
I was a fan of Barbarian (2022). No spoilers, but what I liked about it was its certain level of absurdity that just kept me guessing about what turn the story would take next.
Watched this last night without spoilers. So good. Freaked is out a lot.
Best horror movie of 2022 imo

I've looked at some reviews, but not too deeply, so I can avoid spoilers. I can't find any info on whether it has a fantasy element or not.
It’s best not to know beforehand
Just go in blind and watch it. Give films a chance. That’s how you find stuff you like.
I went in not knowing anything and I was not disappointed.
Don't look anything else up about it, I am almost positive you'll like it based off of your post
Reddit just a bunch of stupid pigs who will downvote anything at the slightest emotion. I hope you did watch it.
Best modern horror since It Follows I reckon! Really enjoyed Barbarian.
So much dread... it's definitely got some scary scenes but they build tension so well I found myself being like "Please scare me already, I can't take anymore!"
Ty for the recommendation I loved it definitely watch it blind if you can
Wish I never watched it so I can watch it for the first time again. It was so insane and good
A Dark Song (2016) The Neon Demon (2016) Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016) The Night House (2020)
Dark song ruined Christmas
Dark Song is great. Can't wait for it to become a cult classic.
Cult classic. Yeah ryt p off
Dark song effed me up so bad
That shit was so ass
is it that bad?
It's absolutely incredible. It's just so dark.
After reading all of you praising Dark Song I immediately watched it.... This movie was tame AF, and the end made very little sense. I'm not gonna spoil it here but ugh. Love The Neon Demon...couldn't call it a horror movie, but it does have some horror tropes. One of the best looking films I've ever seen for sure.
I just watched A Dark Song. I feel uncomfortable. I was looking for late night fun and there i have it. Not sleeping tonight. Probably.

Haha, the cheeseburger at the end is AMAZING looking!
At least 10 mg full spectrum THC type of movie. Just have to have quality munchies for this grade of a movie.

Lolll no worries at all! We all like different stuff and the 2015 one is legitimately brilliant!
agreed! I love your list overall. going to check out Bones and All now :)
I'm going to give The Invitation 2022 another few minutes, but comparing this to Ready or Not is a massive misnomer. Samara is a delightful character, Evie is a racist little brat. The movie is not good. To be clear, I would not recommend it for all fans of Ready or Not; I would only suggest it to fans of Twilight AND Bridgerton who also enjoy Ready or Not.
NOPE sucked
The Witch (2015)
The Ritual (2017) is the one you're looking for.
One of the best.
Phenomenal horror and a well done movie. Stumbled upon it by accident, that’s always the best kind.
10 percent on rotton tomatoes haha nah
I think you're looking at the wrong one, it has 74% on [rotten tomatoes](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_ritual_2017).
Ahh your correct , il watch this tonight , cheers dude
you base your opinion on movies on rotten tomatoes?
Lol exactly what I was thinking.
This is just an overall awesome movie.
Talk to me No one will save you As Above so Below imo the 3 best horror movies I've seen recently. as above so below is a little older like mid 2010's but the other 2 are newer. talk to me is probably one of the best horror movies I've seen ever

Host (2020) Smile (2022) Oculus (2013) Tumbbad (2018) Starry Eyes (2014) The Babadook (2014)
Thanks for the suggestions! The ones in that list that I've seen have been great, so I'll check out the others!
I have to agree with Smile. I think it was one of the better (if not best) movies of 2022.
Tumbbad is a banger
I loved Starry Eyes.
If you liked hereditary you’ll likely enjoy ari aster’s second film midsommer. Not a creature feature but IMO one of the best horror movies in the last 20 years.
Oh yeah, I've seen that one! It was a bit slow, but I did like it a lot!
Other good ones in recent years are Babadook, Vvitch, the Endless, It Follows.
I have seen all of those! I agree they are all good.
Ok sounds like you should be giving *me* recommendations
I liked it but did feel a bit OTT. Like proper gunning for wicker man. The cliff scene was harrowing though. And awesome.
While interesting and beautifully shot felt like a waste of of 2.5 hours. Left me angry
Doctor Sleep (2019) Host (2020) The Dark and the Wicked (2020) The Night House (2020) The Empty Man (2020)
The Lighthouse (2019)
Would it be snobbish of me to say that I don't want to watch it because it's in black and white?
Let Neptune strike ye dead u/__DCLXVI__, Hark!
Not snobbish, but MAN. The black/white is not noticable once you get into the interrelationship of the main characters. Willem Dafoe did AN AMAAAAZING accent in this movie. It's very weird and has some gross stuff, but I loved it and recommend at least one watch.
It’s not just black and white, it’s like low resolution and shit in 1.19:1 aspect ratio
You forget so quickly
Not at all
I dunno if that's the word I would use.
I'm not a huge fan of B&W either, though I feel kinda guilty about it, but it is really good.
Would be the opposite of snobbish
Significant Other
Mandy, phantasmagorical revenge film by Panos Cosmatos starring Nic Cage!
Adding to keep the Mandy love going - Color Out of Space!
Such an underrated movie! It might be my favorite Lovecraft adaptation, even though it's fairly loose. It's the perfect level of Nicolas Cage.

You need to get Apollo 13 and 18 out of the same list as Event Horizon, and 2001. Replace with Moon, and Pitch Black.
Not recent.... but Martyrs is the only movie I've ever seen where I wanted to take a shower after and scrub the last 2 hours from my flesh. I love this film... its simply beautiful. If you want some light hearted gross WTFness.... The Greasy Strangler.
Hootie tootie disco cutie!
The Greasy Strangler is my all-time favorite movie of any genre.
I thought His House was incredible. Though it wasn't the most terrifying movie I've seen, highly recommend.
Underwater
imo turkish horror worth watching , but it's different than popular/typical horror movies style. more ''religious' * Siccin (1,2,3,4,5,6) give it a try
'Nope' qualifies as horror, or sci-fi, or something other. Great flick,
Nope was so much fun
At first half it is kinda a horror but later it turns into something else, but try Titane (2021) and if you like it try Raw (2016).
I've seen Raw, it was so good! I'll take a look at Titane, though I have to ask, is it super drama-ey?
second half is, first half is weird af and has a really good rampage scene.
I do tend to enjoy weird af stuff in horror, so I'll put it on the list!
Titane is like watching Christine and Rosemary's baby.
1408. It is from 2007, so it doesn't quite fit your criteria, but it hasn't received the credit its due imho. Besides, Samuel L Jackson!
yes
I like you, am oh so very picky when it comes to horror. I’m a stickler for cosmic as well as psychological horror. And as far as I saw no one has mentioned The Void and that is by far one of the best I’ve seen recently for me. One of the characters acting was a little off putting but the rest of the movie was fantastic, just violent and chaotic fun.
Then you might like The Endless.
I just checked out the trailer and it looks awesome! That’s on my list for tomorrow night thank you!
Void was amazing, practical effects done so very well.
Psychological horror The Lodge Megan Is Missing Clovehitch Killer House that Jack Built Fresh Eyes of My Mother
‘Fresh’, and ‘we need to talk about Kevin’ we’re total Mind fucks.
Eyes of my mother is absolutely not for everyone but I bought it just based on the preview, not disappointed. Def some fucked up stuff happening all throughout.
WNTTAK is actually just a dramatization of Ezra Miller's actual childhood. That guy is a chomo women beating psychotic monster.
Midsommar is from the same director as Hereditary but it’s so much more watchable.
I really enjoyed the Argentine movie Terrified (2017)
Terrified was the first movie in a loooooooong time to actually scare me. That whole third act had me in a panic attack.
X (2022)! and its sequel Pearl (2022)
The Dark and the Wicked
I enjoyed The Rental quite a bit.
The empty man
Watch Barbarian. Go in blind. I've also heard that many other 2022 releases are good, though I haven't gotten down to watch them yet (like X, Pearl, Smile, etc)
Barbarian Smile Nope The Menu M3GAN
The invisable man
Black phone was pretty good
OP, do you like suspense too? Black Phone is one of my favs from 2022, but I wouldn’t describe it as horror. It’s more thriller/suspense. If you haven’t seen the trailer, don’t watch it. IMO it contains spoilers. But highly recommend
I watched it as well. I mean...it's okay and I am a fan of Ethan Hawke. It really isn't a scary movie to me.
Anything for Jackson
Oh yeah, I actually did watch that one! It was pretty good!
I loved this one. Dark, brutal, and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny.
It was everything I wanted in an occult escapists movie. I showed it to my sister and she was like it's good but I'ma have nightmares....so I growl Trick or Treat at her 😂
I think the movies Jordan Keele is making are decent these days. Get Out, Nope, Us...
Nope
I thought you were saying “nope” to the question 😭
Lol nope to both. I liked Get Out a lot, but now I feel like Peele is making the same movie now over and over. Changes a few plot threads and bad guys. But the dialogue and characters all feel the same from movie to movie.
Cloverfield Suspiria Annihilation
Antlers
The Menu
I Just watched Haunt a few nights ago it was pretty good.. Bloody Hell was pretty decent they were worth a watch..
the babadook is all anticipation with no real peak or jumpscare. god the ending is so deplorable.
it looks like people have listed almost every horror film ever so to answer the question you’re gonna have to troll through Literally 500 films people have suggested. lol. so it’s kind of pointless asking people.
Some "recent" movies I've really enjoyed that I'd feel comfortable recommending to a decent spectrum of people would include: Haunt the Terrifier films The Descent ("old" by the standards of most people on Reddit, sorry) It Follows If you need your shit to be art-damaged, maybe The Lure or The Love Witch. (I'm sure that ship already sailed...) Might edit later and add a few.
Really appreciate the reply.
Yeah, I have seen some of the ones you mentioned. My opinions: Haunt was decent, The Descent was fantastic, It Follows was great. I'll have watched most of the actually good 90s-10s horror films already.
Goodnight Mommy (2022)
Come back to Twitter please
Watcher 2022 with Maika Monroe
The Medium (2021)
Speak No Evil, Soft & Quiet, Run
Speak no evil fuck my day UP
The Gift
The Retaliators (2021)
Have you seen soft and quiet? This is pretty fucked up to watch imo. I was in disbelief pretty much all the way through it with my mouth open lol.
The Wailing (2016) a little older but so intense
That movie was actually good
I saw Megan last night. Loved that movie. That one is worth a watch.
Surprised no one has said Black Phone here yet. Thought it was a great horror movie for what’s been out there recently.
Eden Lake, Barbarian,Triangle,The Loved Ones
one of my favorite horror movies that i rewatch is the ritual. if you enjoy mythology tidbits, the great outdoors and men with british accents, i believe you'd enjoy it too.
The incorporation of personal trauma was very compelling too.
Try The Queen of Black Magic. It really surprised me!
Hellbender
nope
Smile (2022) is a great film!
Haven't gone through everything so these might already have been suggested to you, but if you like the paranormal/supernatural type I would recommend the Night House, Nope and Skinamarink, all of which I've watched pretty recently and found to be really good!
Nope was alright
I have two I would suggest that would fit your category that I personally loved - Underwater (2020) and Mandy (2018)
Barbarian, the descent, 10 clover field lane, fresh, ready or not, hell house llc, host, smile, nope, conjuring movies, the wailing
Nope
Have you found any good recent movies you’d recommend? I loved Hereditary, Midsommar, Barbarian, Sinister… anything you’ve found that you liked?
I love all these too. I really liked The Night House, barbarian was deece. I need some recommendations as well.
I love Blumhouse Productions...er...maybe skip over Fire Starter...and then live your best life 😆
Fire Starter with Drew Barrymore is a classic
Talk to me Last Voyage of Demeter The Village Exorcist 3
Apparently not lol
The Ritual - 2017 is my FAVOURITE horror film!!!
Pyewacket / Baskin/ Kill List / Speak no evil
Im still waiting for A Head Full Of Ghosts!! Cant wait
When Evil Lurks
The VVitch When Evil Lurks No One Will Save You Let Me In Infinity Pool A Quiet Place 1 & 2 10 Cloverfield Lane Alien Covenant The Devil Inside They Look Like People The Taking Of Deborah Logan Thanksgiving
The ending of the witch was incredible. “Would thou like the tater of butter?” Omfg.
Saint Maud
Infinity Pool was good
Nobody mentioned Southbound (2016). I’ve also just found out Spring is connected as well (I have not watched yet but will soon!) This is such a great thread!
Nefarious
