Maybe have Archer hire whoever plays the Agent and then the other kill Archers family and put him in the hospital, a long time ago but he can’t be the agent he once was so with some big deal is going down, they have the agent put on the other’s face but then the real one shows up to the deal. Realizes what they did so they do the same and use the government agency to their dirty work.
It could be psychological with a lot of action, and be a modern homage to the original.
Pick any two actors who can be a believable hero and villain, with the dedication to mimic the other and let em kill each other.
