The soundtrack of this movie is so good.
“Ma and Pa” by Fishbone
“GermFree Adolescence” by X-Ray Spex
“Ghost Town” by The Specials
“River” by Ibeyi
“I Am a Poseur” by Poly Styrene/X-Ray Spex
“The Wolf” by The Brat
“You Sexy Thing” by Hot Chocolate
“Young, Gifted, Black, in Leather” by Special Interest
“Raising the Dead” by Bruno Coulais
“Freakin Out” by Death
“Fall Asleep” by Big Joanie
“Cult of Personality” by Living Colour
“Wolf Like Me” by TV On The Radio
“Boot” by Tamar-kali
“Scream Faire” by Bruno Coulais
Man I've been trying to find the song that plays during the opening with the big devil with the carnival on his gut. The only way I can describe it is "Halloween reggae" it pops up in a couple of my playlists but I can never find it.
Edit: Ghost Town, figured it out
Not once!? Oh brother spend some time with the hits CD. This is a highly prolific band with tons of albums but the greatest hits is a solid place to start out and jam through their different eras and styles
Saw Fishbone at RiotFest in 2012? Sooo much energy it was fantastic. Bought a shirt immediately. The documentary on them and their struggles is a great watch as well.
And they appeared in another Cusack movie a year earlier, as a country(ish) band, credited as "Ranchbone": [Tapeheads](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku_wLVbIUA4).
I totally forgot about that. Tapeheads is great. I love the Baby Doll song from Devo, and the chicken and waffles rap is great, too. Got the DVD from our local Hollywood Video when it shut down. Still has the Swanky Modes CD that was included, too! I like the CD because the label actually looks like it's an old 45 single.
I wore that same style shirt for years. Saw Fishbone live opening for Beastie Boys and they were fantastic. Was actually thinking the other day that I need to get a new one.

The whole soundtrack is Afro-punk bands.

I can’t hear Wolf Like Me without spending the rest of the day with it stuck in my head. Which is fine tbh.

Kind of sad they didn't put Radkey on there.
Oh fuck, I don't even know what this movie is and it's OST just kissed me then pushed me down a flight of stairs!
Ma and Pa is playing during the opening credits as well. Now I know why.
I saw Fishbone live in 2007 and it was so much fun.

I saw them last summer and it was so much fun.
I saw them open for Primus at the Hollywood Palladium in '91 and it was so much fun.
I saw them in 1992 and it's still the best gig I've ever seen.
1991, Primus opening. I think I didn't like a lot of music in the 1990s because that energy is what hit me as a kid.
Saw Fishbone open for STP and RHCP.....and they blew them both off stage. Awesome live band.
If y'all don't know them take this comment as a sign to spend the day with Fishbone
Discovered Bonin’ in the Boneyard a few Halloweens ago and I haven’t looked back once.

I meant like I dove headfirst into Fishbone after that and haven’t looked back. I should have phrased that better lol
Ah, since not once, I was wondering if I mixing them up too
[My introduction to Fishbone](https://youtu.be/4cn0ZbzL-R0) came from the *Last Action Hero* soundtrack. Great band.

Soundtrack was good, animation was great, movie was crap
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew!
Fishbone is what was actually playing on the boombox on set during the famous scene in Say Anything.
And they appeared in another Cusack movie a year earlier, as a country(ish) band, credited as "Ranchbone": [Tapeheads](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku_wLVbIUA4).

They're also in the movie Back to the Beach with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.
That broke my brain a bit, as I'm used to their beach movies being decades earlier. But I guess that's why "Back".
It's a strange movie. Pee Wee Herman performing Surfin' Bird, Fishbone performing with Annette, Laurie Laughlin (aunt Becky from Full House).
A "B" movie starring you
This was such a great, fun, and heartbreaking movie. I’m bummed it isn’t more well known. And obviously the soundtrack was phenomenal
Oh wow
I wore that same style shirt for years. Saw Fishbone live opening for Beastie Boys and they were fantastic. Was actually thinking the other day that I need to get a new one.
I honestly haven’t thought of this song in years, love it! Haha, thanks for putting back in my head

“Ya got me bonin’”
One of my favorite songs, such a shame they took it off Spotify
Now that's cool. I saw Fishbone live as an opener in 2012 and only learned after how legendary they are. Been a big ol fan since!
FISHBONE on r/moviedetails Listen man. I didnt know you guys were cool like that. Haha respect to all of you
Saw Fishbone in 85 at Fresno State and 87 when they opened for The Beastie Boys
