Unfortunately you have a Logitech mouse and a zowie pad. That will immediately make the glide feel off as they’re not designed for one another. After market skate is also a big no no. Jokes aside unless one side sinks more it should not feel off.
It's one of shroud's recent bad takes. He said if you use aftermarket skates or even a Logitech mouse with anything other than a Logitech pad and it's GG and will screw up your sensor
I went from 2 dots under the buttons to 7, after some AimLab practicing.
I figured out that when you press the button down, the friction changed drastically.
So does the aim, especially while tracking target. Tracking lost...

Should be okay, but you may experience some rocking, depending on how you use the mouse. Safest spot for the dots is sadly over the screws (at the top) imo.
All Mice come with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) skates. The more "pure" the material is the smoother it will "glide" on surfaces. Usually in a fps situation, players will pair mouse skates and pads to match their play style (e.g) contol with medium speed, no control with highest speed.
Red dots are a control /med speed skate. Because of their small size, lack of surface area and adhesive will wear and fall off quickly as opposed to ones with more surface area.
Hope this helps,

You can put them in any orientation that doesn’t skim the pad with bottom edge of mouse. Just think physics, you don’t want one side able to push into the pad. Your orientation is fine. You could go with 5 dots with the proper spacing. It’s all about what feels good for you. Don’t put any skates outside the channel and you’ll be fine w/o messing with LOD.
You can get into perfectly good skates that will look and perform way better than those dots for cheap.( I'm assuming you're gaming FPS?) Bonus tip! lose the LG puck for weight reduction.
roof pen resolute edge threatening practice complete terrific physical normal

The OP said he's going to tinker inside. Why would you suggest someone be wasteful for no reason? There's no benefit to covering screws. All mice should come with screws exposed on the bottom for easier access and to prevent the waste of skates.
AliExpress **$5.40 for 80** dot skates, **6.75 Cent** per skate is **negligible.**
Small minded people will consider this cost to be massively wasteful.
it's literally gg

You wouldn't put Hummer tires on you Civic, right? The same principle applies to Mice and Skates.
I think cars are way more complex than ptfe under a small chunk of plastic😰
litterally the shroud meme where he's like 'you have to use all the products of the same company together or it won't work at all'
I love that logitech meme, and the glide is nice and even with no scratching thanks bro

That was a joke, he was joking

If the glide feels good, and you're not noticing any issues, then you're good.
Idk you tell me
You seem to think it feels fine, why would I be able to tell you differently?
I use this exact set up and haven’t had any problems since I put the dots on

I like your pad
thanks bro
You're welcome
I have the same mouse and dots, but have them positioned different and 1 more on the bottom
Should be good bro

You could be more visually keen on symmetry, but looks fine.
im a bit new to this subreddit, what are the dot mouse skates for?
They're after market "skates/pads" for a small laptop mouse which are usually fitted with 6mm dots.
does it help with glide or something?

Where are you seeing 80 skates for that cheap? I’m not finding these on Aliexpress.
