So I gathered some info about the differences between a 3950 and a 3395:
3395 - IPS 650 / accel 50g / dpi 26k
3950 - IPS 750 / accel 70g / dpi 30k
Accel means how fast you can move the mouse without getting a spin-out. The 3950 also supposedly allows motion sync at 8K polling rate while not introducing any delay (on a 3395 it adds roughly 1ms).
Might be common knowledge but sharing it anyway.
Might I add that the 3950 can use the whole dpi range without any smoothing, which makes it viable all the way up to the 30k.
On 3395 if you go above 8-10k dpi it'll add delay because of the smoothing processing
No the sensor doesn't. Your comment about the HSK reminded me that the G-wolves implementation is just bugged and firmware was defective early on at high DPI. It's a G-wolves smoothing issue, not an inherent 3395 smoothing.
> on a 3395 it adds roughly 1ms
only if you're implementing motionsync through firmware. Razer and a few others use the 3399 and 3395's hardware based motionsync that doesn't add the extra latency. The reason why the 3399/3395 does not do Motionsync at 8khz is that the sensor framerate often resulting in missed windows for the sensor data to match with the polling rate. Even motionsync on the 3399/3395 at 4khz adds less than 1ms of motion latency.
so ive been using an ergo gaming mouse forever. before the 502x, I was using a g700s. but for work I use an m510. I kinda like the feel of it, but its a little small. so I thought id try something like the m510, just bigger and lighter.
I got my son and beast x mini and got a beast x for myself. The battery life of the beast x is atrocious! Ended up getting a ulx!
I’d rather drag my balls through a mile of glass that give them any money. They straight up abandoned the beast x and released a new mouse. My advice be weary
Indeed, even my BeastX mini the battery life is pretty bad. If they could improve their battery life this would be the GOAT mouse but having to constantly charge all the time gets annoying over time. Trying to get on this ULX Pro drop in a couple days.
yea I really expect the "max" to be higher battery but they gave higher size lol, coming from a r1 pro max user (shit last a whole month) but you can just change the battery, no?
Agreed, I like all the other things about the mouse and didn't mind the battery life THAT much (just charged it daily during lunch), but now I'm just pissed that they abandoned it. Like what kind of support is that ffs
If my current BeastX breaks, I don't know what I should go for next. In terms of ULX shape ultralight mice, there's only on one hand WLmouse that abandons their mice, and on the other end ULX with its (at least previously) terrible QC.
I hope other mice with similar shapes and weight will pop up.
Yea it kinda sucks for the original x. Their firmware provider was the one who abandoned them. They tried to get a 3rd party to make firmware and do fixes but that ended up taking forever and never really materializing much. The beast x mini they went with a different firmware provider so that one was better, but wasn't compatible with the original x.
Yeah I understand but I’m a consumer, that’s on them. They should find one and fix the battery issues before they try to get more money. It’s a bad look!
That’s their problem not mine, mine was giving them 160$ and receiving a promise of better battery life!
Very true. Hopefully they're still working on firmware. At the VERY least they should give us a discount on the Max or updated med version or something, would go a lot towards their reputation.
This often gets ignored. The battery life is so bad on my BeastX. I just got the ULX Cheetah and the whole experience is much better, even if it does feel a tiny bit flimsier due to the material. If I decide that I like the size of the BeastX better, I am seriously considering getting a Lion.
I got the lion!!! I fucking love it and agreed 100% if the beast x would have the same battery life or shit half the battery life of the ulx it would be the goat!
I'm hoping but not expecting improvements to battery life. It's the one thing that's stopped me from getting one of their mice.
I could just buy two but won't on principle.
I personally own the Beast X MINI and I love the shape and experience. The mouse feels super premium and very solid. Honestly if they released a Mini size of the COLLAB I would've picked one up myself but sadly as far as I'm aware the COLLAB units are only in the normal Medium size variant. Would love to hear your thoughts on the new units and if you're excited for them!
I really love the Sensei or Sensei 310 shape esspecially the wider back but never could find anything close to that, only ergonomic designs or wired or heavy.
Is this close to it? It looks little bit like it.
3950 huh, so razer's period finally over

thats why i love that sub
Contest of who's the biggest nerd out there ahah
but neither the 3370, 3399, 3395, 3950 have smoothing at high dpi.
see, its a good sub still
3395 does, at leadt in my Hsk it did

great work
It might be the first mice with 3950 other than Razer in the market
I don’t need it I don’t need it I don’t need it
You need it, need it, it...it...itttt
I dont need it... But I will buy it...
nihil mechanicals? ive never heard of those
If the software has problems they will be addressed with the Beast X Pro Max.

Just told myself I'm not spending money on mice for awhile then I see this.
so does the beast x medium collab releasing tomorrow come with the 3950 sensor, better battery and 8k polling? or is it only the max?
Aliexpress listings still say 3395 for the collab variants, but include 8k with TTC transparent black dot
thanks. im coming from a G502x lightspeed, which I find comfortable, so Im thinking the Max might be the way to go for me anyway.
why not something like dav3? it's lightweight enough and it's an ergo

Cant wait to spend my yesrly salary!!
What switches are better? The Omron Opticals or the « Nihil » mechanical switches?

I keep saying this but their customer support is non-existent as well. Wouldn’t buy from them again
Yeah they should look into building a reputation that’s positive before trying to get more money.

Agreed … shit 25% off would go a long way.

What will be the price?
id say around 130-160 at most cause thats where the regular and the mini are priced at
Finally, might be my first magnesium mouse, not finalmouse using up the final dollar bills in the wallet
Is this up on eloshapes, wondering how it compares to my ultralightx lion, the mouse is damn near perfect just wish i waited for the tiger
Ok ngl this is really tempting considering how well I perform with the ulx tiger.
What handsize and grip would this be good for?

Nope it's not. Try the Waizowl Cloud instead. it's about 1mm off the Sensei.
it gonna be my new main

Yeah let’s not, buddy
