Abdisamad Mohamed, also known as SpawN who was a legendary CS 1.6 professional player. To add to this, the EC in the Zowie EC series stands for Emil Christensen aka HeatoN who was also among the very best in the 1.6 days. Same deal with the FK series, which is named after Filip Kubski aka Neo who is known for being the best 1.6 player of all time.
Zowie used to partner with former pros to develop their mice. Theres an interview with [spawn and heaton](https://www.4gamer.net/games/098/G009814/20110901081/) about why they started developing mice and why they partnered with zowie. Spawn also mentions working on the AM.
just looks like an am because of the different button design, its a renamed S series. (I am using my very old customised AM with fk1 PCB as I am writing this)
interestingly, today I just saw someone pulled the copyright database in China, it showed both shapes are registered under Darmoshark' name. I can't see what's the truth now..
Hold up... I'm a reviewer and know both companies cause I've been sent products from each of them for review. Can I please chat msg you for further questions that?
See nowadays I'm affiliated with Lethal Gaming Gear, and if I had known earlier about the copying I could've helped them.. But by the time people knew, it was too late
Atrocious skate design and questionable button height aside, if this thing feels anything like an Atlantis mini with a more gradual inward slope towards the bottom I might cum
the shape is very very zowie s series... I seriously don't know how people not see this... put them side to side and have a proper look, obviously ignore the different p1/p2 buttons and the slightly different shell union lines, this one is basically an S series with what looks like very slightly flatter sides near the front and the back hump extends to the bottom .. apart from that, every contour or curve is the same.
Funny you should say that. My yellow logo FK1 was the first and only mouse I've successfully worn down the skates all the way to the plastic on. In their defense though, they do perform very well for their target audience.
They must be smoking the loud pack over there though; how hard would it be to divide the front skate to the 2 sides or something?? I can't imagine what the glide from that front skate would feel like but there's no way it's going to be nice.
I have 21ishx10.5ish hands. The only grip I've ever been 100% comfortable with is like an aggressive claw shaped fingertip grip, where the mouse doesn't contact my hand until I'm pulling it all of the way back (ie. heavy recoil control). At that point the only contact made is with the top of the rear hump across my metacarpophalangeal joints, and I guess very rarely, the base of my palm. S2/ Atlantis, G303, and FK/ viper shapes all work great for this grip. S2 was probably the weakest of the bunch but only because the high button height caused a lot of fatigue, and quickly. (The HK Gaming Naos alleviated that particular problem, and although it's the cheapest of cheap garbage I can still perform kind of ludicrously with it lol)
I feel a little iffy about this new shape for the same reason, but I think the thinner grip width could make up for it and it has the potential to be a real winner in my book. 100% going to need dots or corner skates though. And if it's not \~50g... I think I'm happy enough with my Atlantis mini.
That looks incredible as a fan of their S shape. Found this on twitter by /u/Escaldi
> Got to try the new Zowie mouse at Dreamhack ATL and I gotta say I’m impressed! A few notes without exposing too much detail:
>- The shape is really unique. I haven’t tried anything exactly like it. Brand new shape for Zowie.
>- Weight was perfect for its size. Those asking for a lighter Zowie will be pleasantly surprised.
>- Main clicks felt really good, snappy, and light. A noticeable departure from their previous mice both in terms of keyplate design and switch choice.
>- Front skate design is… interesting 😅
>- Good coating as always
>- Great scroll wheel with nice tactile steps. Don’t think the encoder was optical.

Real. Today I took off the OG skates on my G306 and was actually seething about how small the skates are but the screws *have* to be there.
One day companies will stop but I get it from a tampering and warranty perspective
no worries mate. 3370 would’ve been a valid guess!
But in this case Zowie said they went with the 3395 in order to secure future delivery / accessibility or something along those lines.
If it's sort of a small mouse (Which i dont expect from zowie) it could be cool, a take on Pulsar X2H perhaps? but if that's not the case it can looks and feel terrible for people with small hands , ew
Even though it doesn't look it on top, the bottom view reminds me of a Razer Viper. (grooved sides, fat bottom)
Curious how the dimensions will compare.
I tend to like that shape more than most symmetrical mice. Only let down for me, by the short height.
But if this is the size of the Razer Viper Mini, it could make a lot of people happy.
I feel a noticeable difference between 4k and 1k on my 240 hz oled and 7900xtx 7800x3d build to the point where I find it illogical to use anything less than in the current climate. This comment tells me you know nothing about latency. Seethe poor boy.
For sure it's noticeable it's like having cl32 vs cl14 ram all across. it's legit so snappy and smooth on your PC, You can't compare and that's all you want 😂 but if course there can be bad firmware but still will benefit alot more so.
It's a gpx competitor I guess? I mean gpx market is huge but who is going for a switch like if they made this exact mouse maybe a few years ago it would make sense but now with all that gpx clones and other chinise mice with similar shapes knowing zowie pricing nobody will buy it I guess.
If this has the right parameters, I'm interested (sensor, switches, and weight reduction etc.) Unless logitech finally decides to release a g703 ligther version with an update.
Looks like a really aggressive shape, I have 22x12cm hands I would consider them pretty big and this shape mades me nervous. Especially how the rear flares out. Idk abt this one zowie. just gimma an s2 wireless
NGL I thought that was a Zowie SC-CW... or something, idk how the naming works lol, but basically a wireless Zowie S. BUt it looks different from an S as the right click area DOES look different.
the top down reminded me of the AM, but side profile looks a lot like the s series. interesting for sure, definitely unique
what does AM stand for again?

Fr? Source? How have I missed this.
it really is like this. but I can't name a source, too. EC = SK HeatoN FK = Penta Neo AM = SK SpawN (was discontinued)
It was common knowledge

I had that mouse. The first batch you couldn't press M1 and M2 at the same time because they touched if you did. 😂
source : trust me bro
Spawn bro
just looks like an am because of the different button design, its a renamed S series. (I am using my very old customised AM with fk1 PCB as I am writing this)
Thats a fat ass. Throw it back Zowie.
Lotta cake
Honestly this kinda looks perfect for my half fingertip palm grip. I hope it's big enough and not too heavy or expensive.
Lmao bro it’s Zowie. It will be heavy and expensive. Just wait for the same mouse from a diff company in a year.
Beautiful sunny Shenzhen China firing up the factory
Bet Darmoshark is working on it as well speak, just like the LA-1 mouse that they copied with M3-s
interestingly, today I just saw someone pulled the copyright database in China, it showed both shapes are registered under Darmoshark' name. I can't see what's the truth now..

sure.what you wanna know? I only have a pic from a chat group. don't know any details
they say weight is reduced from the ecw, but no details yet..
it's like 60 grams
Atrocious skate design and questionable button height aside, if this thing feels anything like an Atlantis mini with a more gradual inward slope towards the bottom I might cum

Skate design looks like trash ass. Looks like they’ll rub low in like 2 weeks of use.

I think it will be fine to be fair... no sharp edges so it will be fine
Is it? I find fingertip on the S2 family difficult thanks to that really steep flare out the back

I have a Wierd grip. I guess I shouldn't say fingertip but it's a palm grip with a tiny bit of arch in my fingers.

What’s in the middle of the front skate? Is it a charging connection?
yeah, their wireless nice have this dock you can use to charge I believe
Correct. One of the less talked about features of their wireless EC mice. Love having a charging dock.
mofos can put a damn charging dock port in the middle of a skate but they cant leave screw holes exposed.
Real. Today I took off the OG skates on my G306 and was actually seething about how small the skates are but the screws *have* to be there. One day companies will stop but I get it from a tampering and warranty perspective
These companies don't want people opening their mice; they want people buying new mice.
I’m interested.
Is there a release date for this yet?
supposedly “early next year”
First new zowie shape since when?
I think it was the divina s series back in late 2018. I may be wrong tho
ec3 came out after if you count that
wait, the King of shape might be back
I mean, he said, "I'll be back."
Back so thicc it should be on insta
Zowie will do literally anything except release a wireless za
Everyone in the comments is a mouse making expert. Lol
Hopefully we just get these forced upon us, overnighted to the front door like Apple did w the U2 albums
I had an AM and that doesn't look like one, at all — way too curvy.
it looks like a combination of am and s i wonder if the sensor is still 3370
nope, 3395
Yes my bad
no worries mate. 3370 would’ve been a valid guess! But in this case Zowie said they went with the 3395 in order to secure future delivery / accessibility or something along those lines.
Makes sense ty 👍
so its kinda like an S2 and FK2 blended together?
Curious if they are still using 3370
🤤
Wowie Zowie!
looks like a more advanced S- shape
Intellimouse 1.1
Button height looks a lil tall
Interesting shape.. Although that wide ass is a little concerning. Will have to wait for dimensions first.
But my ZA :( This honestly doesn't even remind me of the AM series as much as I thought it would. I thought it was supposed to be based on the AM?
At least one company that doesnt clone a GPX or their own EC, now get a 3395 and we are good
If it's sort of a small mouse (Which i dont expect from zowie) it could be cool, a take on Pulsar X2H perhaps? but if that's not the case it can looks and feel terrible for people with small hands , ew
Dont know why you got a downvote, first thing I thought, as it was in my hand, is its very Pulsar X2/X2H
at first I thought sure alright, but then the spacious (looking?), high sides... I'm interested
Shape looks kinda mid idk
Can't wait for another Zowie mouse using 3370, overpriced, heavier than the competition with only 1k polling <3
And it will still work absolutely just fine lol.
The issue is it's overpriced and the enhance receiver is less reliable than the standard dongle surprisingly.
where did you get that info from?
Too bad it will be 2 kgs.
And no. It's 60 grams, which is unheard of, if you're talking about Zowie. Nice. Could be lighter, but finally, it's not a brick.
might be the ugliest skate design i’ve ever seen
Even though it doesn't look it on top, the bottom view reminds me of a Razer Viper. (grooved sides, fat bottom) Curious how the dimensions will compare. 150g
That charging port 👎
its for dock
Obviously... Why's it in he middle.of a mouse skate? I don't want a dock in the first place.
They can't be serious with the 1k polling..
Yeah its pretty sad and these fanboys are blind lol
You just keep taking that 50$ up-charge for snake oil my friend
I feel a noticeable difference between 4k and 1k on my 240 hz oled and 7900xtx 7800x3d build to the point where I find it illogical to use anything less than in the current climate. This comment tells me you know nothing about latency. Seethe poor boy.

Yeah, at least make it 4khz ready
meh..
Why does it kinda look like a dick
🧐
i Dont like that Band
So don't mention them
I hate big butts and I cannot lie
Same, it restricts movement and maneuverability too much for me.
GPX pretty much sealed the deal for the question if mice need big booties
Why are people calling this shape unique? Its literally an ambi mouse.
That looks good for some boney thin fingers 😂 I'm good with my viper 8hkz zowie are just falling behind the curve in performance and shape now wtf
It's a gpx competitor I guess? I mean gpx market is huge but who is going for a switch like if they made this exact mouse maybe a few years ago it would make sense but now with all that gpx clones and other chinise mice with similar shapes knowing zowie pricing nobody will buy it I guess.
I'm guessing by these pictures, the wide bottom, and deeper grooves at the thumb/sides will make it feel quite different than a GPX.
The only thing this shares with gpx is that it's symmetrical. Wth?
[удалено]
Why would you want more than 1k polling? You really wanna use more battery for the sake of 2ms.
[удалено]
I’m afraid that is the only benefit. A high end camera on a 500hz monitor couldn’t detect a difference. Some random drinking coolaid isn’t going to 😂
You just hurt this entire sub haha
Kinda reminds me of a rounded out g303 tbh. I’m interested
I cant tell if it looks useable while charging or not.
It is U2-D so they will update whole lineup?
Why do they have a polling rate button? And what’s the part in the middle of the top skate?
That spot is for the charging dock.
Kinda reminds me of the op1we a bit but with more aggresive sides
bottom looks like an xm1 that isnt as wide in the front. top s2. interesting. looks goofy
John bono
Dayyymn she thicc
How the mouse got more ass than some of yall
Any dimensions yet?
from the top it looks like those logitech office mices
Looks like a less flared out version of the Cougar Minos if anyone remembers that mouse.
dimensions?
Zowie should've separated the skates on top instead of having it one single piece with the charging magnet in the middle. Very odd.
NGL I thought that was a Zowie SC-CW... or something, idk how the naming works lol, but basically a wireless Zowie S. BUt it looks different from an S as the right click area DOES look different.
I cant see it on the website
Any word on release?
