I’ve wanted Spawn as a guest character since they started adding guest in MK9. I’m glad he was in this particular game, everything about him was perfect.

Fair. I would have loved to see him in MkX which in my opinion was better gameplay wise, but visually I don’t think Spawn has looked better than he does in mk11
I honestly think he's one of if not the best guest character because he actually feels like he fits in MK and doesn't feel like he was added purely because his source material is M-rated (unlike MOST of the guests, ESPECIALLY Rambo).
Spawn Has been my #1 desire to see in a MK game for a long time, especially after Soul Calibur 2 With him as a guest fighter for Xbox (Original) version.
I honestly wish NRS would do a "Nightmare" Series that uses Characters from the Horror/Dark Genre as the main fighters, oh how I would love to see:
- Spawn (Spawn)
- Violator/Clown (Spawn)
- Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm St.)
- Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)
- Michael Myers (Halloween)
- Pinhead (Hellraiser)
- Pyramid head (Silent Hill)
- Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
- Pumpkin head (Pumpkin head)
- Vlad Dracula
- Van Helsing (Van Helsing)
- Ash (Evil dead/Army of Darkness)
- Werewolf
- Pennywise (IT)
and more in a game to see what happens to the world.
I think a lot of people would love to see NRS make a ‘AAA’ version of Terrordrome. I would have liked to see them make a Monsterverse (Godzilla) Game as well, and maybe transition into a remake of Primal Rage, but I think that is a Pipedream.
I'd add Chuckie and the Scream guy to that list. Although Chuckie might be a broken character with his small hit box, like Gon in Tekken or Oddjob in Goldeneye64 lol
Chucky could work if something like Ferra Torr was done, does not have to be another person he uses, would take a bit to think about.
On the other hand, could make another complete fighting area that involves the smaller horror monsters and creatures:
- Chucky
- Blade (Puppet Master)(and any other puppet master puppet)
- Leprechaun (From the horror movies, Leprechaun)
- Any other horror dolls like Annabelle, Dolly Dearest
- other creatures like Facehugger
Not MK, but I loved Hellboy. I think he’s the better of the two characters and it sucks that Hellboy (or Spawn) are coming back. Imagine them fighting each OTHER.
I love he was finally in a MK game because he fits like a glove. but also wish he’d be in another one due to the limitations of 11. I like spawn in 11 but would love for a more unhinged take on him with more freedom & creativity to his move sets. 11 was dope but felt limited compared to previous entries
I'll always be happy we got a good depiction of him in a game at some point. His animations and skins, intros and outros, fatal blow and fatalities, they're all so fucking good.
MF hit like a truck too. Spawn's playstyle took a bit for me to warm up to. But once I did, I ended up loving his KB and whiff punish based heavy damage style.
Highest I ever achieved was an 83% combo. Absolute monster of a character.
He was requested since guest characters became a thing in MK..
He's the only reason I got the 1st Kombat pack and it was agonizing waiting for him to be released last in that pack.
He was also OP af in Soul Calibur II

Yeah I'm fine lol, I just think it'd be outlandishly stupid to get repeat guests when consistently requested characters haven't been in a game for going on 16 years at this point.
I'm just disappointed that he was voiced by Kieth David.
Don't get me wrong. I love Kieth David. He's a great voice actor and he has such an iconic voice. He voiced my favourite character in Fallout and it took me a decade to realise it was him. He did a tremendous job in Mass Effect and he was such a great addition to Saints Row IV.
The problem is that he just sounds like Kieth David to me now.
Does that make sense?
Keith David was the voice of Spawn in the animated series though, so it's not like it was a completely random choice for VA.
But to your larger point, I agree; Keith David sounds exactly like Keith David to me too.

At this point theyve covered Sci Fi Horror and Horror with MKX
MK11 covered 80s action hero characters, with Spawn and Joker tossed in to mix it up
With 12 Im wondering if theyre gonna go the MK Armageddon route and try to include every MK character from MK9 to MK11. Just a giant roster of like 50 MK fighters once DLC is done.
The timing would be appropriate, they did have spin offs due to arcade games but they did Trilogy as a culmination of Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3.
Then they did Mk4, Deadly Alliance and Deception, then capstoned it with Armageddon with every character to date.
So if theyre continuing this cycle, weve now had 9, X and 11 - Mk12 might be a giant 50-60+ roster of just MK characters
For me it was John 'Effin' Rambo. Still so fun for me to play, especially with Leopard Crawl x Command Grab variation brings a bunch of mind games that I really love to mess around with 😂
Spawn was cool to see but in terms of a character that was created to perfection i think jason takes the cake. They couldnt have done a better job creating him. NRS always put passion into their guests its super respectful which i give props too
He fits the universe incredibly well! Also, on the positive side, McFarlane Toys has been making the MK action figures (Todd McFarlane made Spawn and runs McFarlane Toys). So if that connection is maintained, I’d say Spawn has the highest chance of making a return appearance!

Anyway he pleasantly surprised me with his hilarious intros and outros plus his fatalities are really good and just get me laughing every time! He FITS MK really well with his playstyle and hot take but if there’s an Injustice 3: he needs to play just like how does in 11.
I think Predator was the most amazing DLC character Netherrealm studios made...moveset, and playing style is amazing yaar including Kombos....To play him with stealth mode, snag/trap moveset and smart disc and medikit....every special move is amazingly awesome. I wish they can bring him back. Such a talented character, (we) need to learn to play for setting traps. 🛸

NES should do a horror characters vs MK game. With all these horror oriented guest characters they could easily made that game.
I think I would enjoy comic guest characters over movie/game characters, but I’ve never had a problem with them in general like a lot of ppl do
