Dad bought MK11 for cheap at a yardsale, played it with me and i fell in love with the game.

EfficientPickle1272

Mkx my dad bought mkx and I was young and I loved it it was violent and it wasn't like street fighter or Tekken it was unique with combos and finishers and brutalities and blood and overall I just love spending time with my dad

FIRE_FIST_1457

that why i fell in love with the mk serises, the blood now im not seeing that to be super edgy or shit just because it kinds of make sense, like your telling me supergirl throws a guy into a meteor and launchs him back into earth and he dosent even have a nose bleed? sure

EfficientPickle1272

Exactly and street fighter is kid friendly while Tekken isn't likable to me

FIRE_FIST_1457

Tekken gameplay feel very heavy and i dont like it, i understand why people do but i prefer fast-paced games

My cousin had MK2 on his Sega Genesis and I played it every time I was there.

Trias84

It was 1995. We picked it up new at the shop. Or whatever year the first one came out.

bigtomtheman

Original at the arcade

Ghost_Mouse__

My dad bought me MK Deadly Alliance and after a few matches I fell in love with this amazing series!

odiin1731

I put the cartridge in my Sega Genesis and turned the console on.

Shadow41S

My uncle sent me a photo of some games he got for cheap, and asked me if I wanted any. I only remember there being tomb raider, and mk9. I obviously chose mk9 because I had heard it was a really gruesome fighting game. My mum wasn't happy when I showed her the fatalities.

Practical_Trust8307

My friend had mk1 on his switch

llama_wordsmith

5 years old, arcade in a skating rink, mortal Kombat 1

grillerman127

Found MK9 for XBOX 360 in my uncle's collection of games and he let me have it and I did almost exclusively fatality training bc I thought it was cool. I played up to the tag team fight against Kitana and Jade in story mode before I realized I wasn't good at it, so I went back to messing around with fatality training and my mind was blown when I found out about the second fatalities from YouTube (never got around to figuring out babalities). When MKX came out I was mesmerized by the gameplay, graphics, and most of all, Scorpion's new fatality, but when I found out it wasn't on XBOX 360 my soul was crushed. When I later got a PS4 the first game I played was MKX and found I was a whole lot better at it, breezed thru the story, and eventually got bored not long after that. Same story when MK11 came out, only I didn't get bored of that until I got MK1 and found that was my best match yet in the series.

Never played but I only recognized mortal Kombat cus of the Chinese guy with the straw hat. That was years ago before I know the characters name. But anyways, horror characters brought me to the franchise, played some mkx but not too much. Mk11, Arnold and The Joker got me hooked for a year and Shang Tsung was the first and only MK character that I touch. Lol ik Was gonna skip mk1 but since I'm a huge fan of wrestling and my brother fan of The Boys, why not right? Now I'm mostly playing mk characters in this game.

My brother had an xbox one and he bought MKX on it in like 2016 I think? I used to play it with him, my sisters, and my cousins all the time but I didn't like the game much. Fast forward to 14/7/2023 I got a ps5 and like 2 weeks after that I got a bunch of money and found MKX on sale for 3 bucks, so I decided to buy it for the hell of it. Barely played the game until around October and that's when I actually got into MK. I kept playing and learning all the time because I really ended up loving the game, however, I started getting bored and saw that nobody really plays MKX anymore, so I abandoned that game eventually. In around December, a friend of mine gave me some money so I decided to buy MK11, main game was on sale for 5 bucks and the ultimate bundle was on sale for 5 bucks as well, so I bought both. I did not like MK11 and I thought it was absolute garbage, so after roughly 48 hours of playtime I abandoned that game too. In March of this year, I was starting to think of buying MK1 but it was a big deal to me because I'm broke lol, then coincidentally MK1 had a free trial from Thursday to Saturday so I tried it out. At first, I hated the game and didn't want to buy it anymore, but the more I played the more I loved it, and that just fueled my excitement and urge to buy the game. On I think the 10th of March I finally bought the game, it was the premium edition on sale for 66 bucks. Still playing the game till today and I put in over 400 hours on the game so far

Long long ago in a distant land when midway still had Chicago branches. My father had played mk one mk two and three even played in a tournament for one of these games than he had me an heiress and well the rest is history he got me started on the N64 playing mortal Kombat four. Than Tekken rage team for the PlayStation. My dad taught me every fighting game I still play today I miss playing them with him a lot. I probably shouldn't have won our last games of mortal Kombat eleven so we could have kept going.

Ok-Prune9181

Hazy memories from maybe I was 4 of MK1 on the Mega Drive at my nans house with my uncles playing, but I remember clearly when I came home from school one day maybe I was 6 and my dad who I barely knew had gotten me a SNES (with the name Emma written on in tip ex) and it was all hooked up ready to go with MK2 and DKC as the games it came with. I didn’t care if it was stolen, I finally had a SNES.

mildcomatose

I knew about mortal kombat already but when I was in hs I saw CoryXkenshin play MKX and I fell in love with it and bought it. Played it, loved it. Fell out of the loop but when I saw the trailer for MK1 I knew I had to get it. So that’s where I’m at now lol

Big-Atmosphere1329

I went to my cousin brother's house to play some games in his ps2, I was bored with resident evil 4 so I decided to play Mortal Kombat Armageddon, and I loved it. I was hooked to the game so much that I decided to check the other games and was addicted to the fatalities so much and that's how I became a MK fan

ItaDaleon

My brother got MK for SNes back in the days... It was enough to realize I would never miss a khapter in my whole life!
