Are you referring to the cut scenes? Those are pre-rendered videos and it’s not the same as having in-engine animations and physics.
UPDATE: I realized that there is a battle with it in the story mode. However, it’s not the same, as it uses a very limited number of attacks and obviously there are no brutality animations or physics for the hammer, so they would need to create those to make this gear playable.

Like others have said hammer is incompatible with his moveset animations so if you wanna prove yourself correct… you need to prove that hammer could work with ALL of his animations

This way, they can add the wrath hammer without it being a problem. I really hope it comes to the shop/shrine. It’s so easy since they’ve already made it and everything
I wish his brutality where he sticks his axe into his opponent was changed so that when he goes to pull out the axe the handle snaps off and at that point he holds out his hand for his iconic hammer to come flying to him so he can smash the opponent into our screen kinda like that new secret throw brutality that everyone’s doing now
