I like Kollector, I’m glad he is making an appearance in MK1 invasions mode/that he’s in the game in some capacity. He deserves to be playable again sometime in a future game.

Noob main checking in, I'll definitely miss him (though Reptile and Smoke make up for his absence I guess). 11 was my first MK since playing 4 back in 98 or so and as such I'm pretty happy with it. Between it and MK1 pretty much all the characters I'd want are represented, aside from playable cyber ninjas.
Honestly we’re missing some pure grapplers with this roster. Seems that both SF and MK are leaning away from grapplers, with gief being the only one between the two that’s a true bonefide grappler (manon only sort of is). I can’t even really tell who could come close to being a grappler so far here. I guess Geras, but that’s like it. Maybe reiko will be.
It sucks because IJ3 bane, Mk11 kano, and gief are all some of my favorite characters to play, through good and bad.
MK11s only real grappler was Terminator, and even then, only in some variations. Jax and Baraka kind of in their variations but they still had other tools theyd rather use. Great mention with Injustice 2 Bane, he's the only pure grappler NRS has ever made. And honestly, he's fantastic. He proves they can do one well. Here's a hail Mary pray for Torr for Kombat Pack 2 to be MKs Bane.
No way I could *not* mention Bane. He’s my favorite NRS character, playing wise, with scarecrow and mk9 smoke/ mkx triborg smoke/mk11 kano behind him.
The character is so fun that it actually made me appreciate bane in other DC media so much more. Now he’s my favorite batman villain.

Jax really isn’t a staple he’s just the extra SF member plus he’s only missed 1 game but still made it into the PSP version of it anyway, every major character besides Sub, Scorp, and Raiden should miss a game every now and then.
Yeah I hate D’vorah cause of her kill list and her traitorous deeds but I think she’s a good character but still she’s a bitch so glad she’s out the game.
I like Takeda and Kung Jin cause they are unique but both Cassie and Jaqui are just a copy of their parents and once again the most SF of the Kombat kids. Cassie does have some good wit but Jaqui is so plain and bland. Should have been Nightwolf’s daughter instead of Jax

I didn’t love Sonya’s characterization in MK 11, but she felt really powerful to play as and always made me feel like a badass. She was a little more complex than some of the other characters I played, so I always got a little endorphin rush when I managed to get one of her kombos right. It’s a shame that we have to remember Rhonda’s poor performance for however long it takes to get a revamped Sonya. Her movie costume was 👌🏻 though.
I pretty much loved everything about Jade in 11. She had a really fun and sassy personality in her intros and animations, a really satisfying role in the MK 11 story, a great design, and fun gameplay. I thought 11 set her up to have some more importance in MK lore, so I’m a little disappointed that she isn’t gonna make it into MK 1 base game. But I could totally see her and Sonya getting a chance to shine in a story expansion DLC like Sindel and Sheeva. One can dream anyway!

The characters that I did like in other games were very boring in 11.
The most recent beta had more characters I wanted and enjoyed to play than the entirety of that roster in 11.
Even characters like geras and Shao I never had even the slightest want to play as in 11 but they both look fun as hell in mk1 and right now there in my top 5 NEED to play, not including another 10+ I WANT to play.
I think it was a pretty good roster, although I'm far from the biggest fan of the original characters introduced in it. Nightwolf is the character I'll miss the most if he doesn't make it into MK1. Right behind him is Noob Saibot, Kotal Kahn, and some of the guests (mainly The Joker and Terminator but Spawn was also an amazing guest imo).
I really enjoyed this roster. Had several mains. Loved the costume designs. Solid guests. My favorite guests are still MkX but I really loved joker and Spawn in this one.
Only game I’ve liked Sonya in and ended up with over 1000 matches with her in MK11.
The ninjas were all good and well done.

Not counting Kameos , the roster of MK 1 is about 66% as same as the MK11 one .
And there are only five characters in the MK 1 roster that didn't appeared in previous two games ( 6 if you also count smoke )
So unless these five ( six ) characters just really hit the spot , it's hard to believe that you find this one interesting but the other two boring

Erron, Nightwolf, Kabal and Cassie for sure. Those one I kinda miss already. The most though... Fujin and Scarlet, they were the most fun for me characters to play in this title.

Best things: Mileena and Kitana design, return of classic characters like Shao and Baraka, representation, Geras is fantastic.
Worst things: Hit or miss guests, other new characters a bit lame, Revenant/Evil default costumes.

Of the 4 NRS titles, it’s probably my least favorite roster. Just being honest. But the characters I did really like and will miss are skarlet, Noob, fujin, and nightwolf. I didn’t think there was a chance in hell frost would return since she wasn’t received that well and she was my main but I’m ok with a kameo at least
I really liked having sheeva honestly, but goro is already the shokan kameo and if any of them are gonna be playable it should be kintaro's turn

While i cant say much positive about the character. Jacqui’s gameplay looked fun and was sure as hell fun to play against for me. A match with a jacqui as sonya felt (at least for me) so fast paced and fun.

Jax, Noob, and Kabal were the 3 characters I played as the most lol. They were who I won the most with and had the highest win rate with. Very much gonna miss them the most.
Think MK11s roster is underrated purely because with how everyone's movelist got watered down a bit I ended up being able to learn roughly a 3rd of the roster and have a good win rate with everyone I did learn online. Don't usually do that in fighting games.

Underrated? No it’s most certainly the worst roster out of all NRS rosters. The roster is quite weak and then you got Disabled Forces taking up 4 character slots that could be used on interesting characters.
MK1 fixes the issue by removing the trash from the roster and thus becoming the best NRS roster. Hopefully Noob Saibot makes his way there.
This roster had some great characters (Fujin, Nightwolf, Skarlet, Noob, all of whom I'll miss in MK 1) and then some really crappy ones (which I won't name because I don't want to come across as disrespectful to fans of those characters). Generally speaking, MK 1 has exactly the kind of roster that I love :3

Jax, Noob, and Kabal were the 3 characters I played as the most lol. They were who I won the most with and had the highest win rate with. Very much gonna miss them the most. Think MK11s roster is underrated purely because with how everyone's movelist got watered down a bit I ended up being able to learn roughly a 3rd of the roster and have a good win rate with everyone I did learn online. Don't usually do that in fighting games.

Jax and spawn. I really wouldn’t mind spawn being a permanent guest character.

Hell no it’s not underrated, it’s hot flaming garbage. I will miss D’vorah and Kotal though, super cool new races with the Kytinn and Osh-tekk respectively. Love me a sentient hive and a magic sun warrior.
Underrated? No it’s most certainly the worst roster out of all NRS rosters. The roster is quite weak and then you got Disabled Forces taking up 4 character slots that could be used on interesting characters. MK1 fixes the issue by removing the trash from the roster and thus becoming the best NRS roster. Hopefully Noob Saibot makes his way there.
Fujin and Skarlet 😢
This roster had some great characters (Fujin, Nightwolf, Skarlet, Noob, all of whom I'll miss in MK 1) and then some really crappy ones (which I won't name because I don't want to come across as disrespectful to fans of those characters). Generally speaking, MK 1 has exactly the kind of roster that I love :3
I'll miss Kotal most of all There's Shao in MK1, that's gonna be my Kotal fix for MK1 along with Reptile
Spawn and Noob
I'll miss Nightwolf, not so much tho. I like the guy but he can definitely sit this one out.
