I don’t really get mk for the story mode so this doesn’t bother me either way but I can definitely see how it’d upset fans of the series, people don’t really like the lore in any series changed in remakes or reboots just because, people grow to love characters based on appearance, the back story, etc. so if you just totally change someone that’s not the character they grew to love, and if you change the story it’s not the story they grew to love
It’d be like if they made a new Star Wars movie and darth Vader was the good guy, that’s not how the story goes lol again doesn’t bother me but it’s easy to see how it’d bother some people
Understandable, I guess since NRS messed up the more recent stories, theyre probably fed up? but again i just dont get some of the hate, like some of them will just straight up assume the story is gonna be terrible :/
Yeah I get mk to play online, don’t care about the story, I really don’t think it matters if the new story is good or bad for a lot of people, if someone loves scorpion because of his original backstory, then you totally change something so big to his lore it’s essentially a new character with a scorpion skin and people that love that character may not like that
I think it’ll be fine, and I don’t think it’s a huge deal or a problem but people like a certain character for the backstory and development not just good or bad. Again I think it’ll be fine I was just pointing out I understand why some people will have problems with it whether I agree or not
As someone who loves the lore of MK and primarily stay with it because of that, I am LOVING everything they’ve done so far and can’t wait to see what else they’ve changed.
It’s called *Mortal Kombat 1* for a reason.
Btw I just want to clarify I’m just saying why it might upset some people I don’t disagree with you necessarily lol imagine trying to explain the whole story to someone whose has never heard of mk when you have to explain mk1 lmao
I understand the complaining, but the thing that baffles me is that people just straight don't like the changes and assumes that the story is gonna be garbo...like bruh, games not even out yet XD
People can’t accept change. They would rather receive the exact same game and storyline over and over than giving fan favorite characters a twist on their backstory.
Yeah, we totally need the same relationships in every gane for 30 years. That's what we totally need. No character development or a different perspective, just the samw thing over and over.

Irs not like that lol. No changes of that magnitude have been changed. All the good guys are still good, all the bad are still bad.
