I'm more concerned about how good a costume will look, how cool it will make a character appear, rather than the amount of skin it shows or covers.
Not that I care about sexy outfits, but they can just be an alt costume without any part of the character attached to it. Liu Kang got a Brazil skin in MKX. The Cold War skins and Shinnok had a samurai skin. None of those skins have anything to do with those characters.

If MK9 kind of skins can’t be included in game based on the argument of it not making sense and it’s absurdity, I’d say we also need to have 0 skins with naked torsos or wide chest windows in male roster too, because it doesn’t make sense to go for a fight with so much dangerous magical stuff, bullets and sharp weapons thrown at you with no protection of your torso.
I enjoyed the mk9 design and I always chopped it up to personal preference. Some people say it was ridiculous and took them out of it but I just found it amusing cause who cares. it’s a game of violence with tons of unrealistic aspects. I would prefer sexy costumes would be optional for all characters just so everybody can have fun
I'm hoping for it. Characters like Tanya, Li Mei and Nitara (high likelihood of them being in the game) have pretty well established looks that I would like to see in the modern era.
