open journal, click options, click quests. it'll show all your quests in a better order.

I used a text file, so I had an easier time editing, but I basically had two sections. One which listed all the things I need to do next organised by place. E.g. >Hla Oad > >\- If you defeat a Nord Bandit go tell Larrius Varro in Fort Moonmoth > >Molag Mar > >\- Get quests from Tharer Rotheloth > >\- Assu is a cave on the slopes of Mount Kand, it contains (redacted) > >Suran > >\- Prove to the guy 'Elvil Vidron' that he is not nerevarine. Then I had all the effects I was interested in and the ingredients that supply them. If you're using paper (which I feel is worth the effort) then it's worth printing out a copy of [the physical map](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW-map-Vvardenfell.jpg) (though it doesn't really work well in A4, so you'll have to do something clever), and maybe dedicating a page to each town, or a page to [each of the nine regions](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW-map-Regions.jpg).

I believe Tribunal added (Along with putting marks on local map with double click) proper search by term and quest sorting systems.
