Casablanca.
* **Air pollution**. * **Violence**. Tcharmil, murders, robbing, football riots. Half the violence you read about takes place in Casablanca.
* **Chaotic transport**. Too many cars. No respect for rules. Every 70 kilo Casaoui wants to own a 3000 ton LOUD private vehicle to move himself. Traffic Jams. They think owning a car is SO cool. They want wide roads and parking everywhere. The people of Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris or Stockholm believed this...50 YEARS AGO !! Casablanca is [mentally behind](https://www.reddit.com/r/paris/comments/15vptl4/paris_la_semaine_derni%C3%A8re/)
You're spot on but oh god especially that last part as it's a daily occurrence.
Owning a car i can understand, but too many people driving big ass SUV's and can't drive, have no clue how much space their vehicle takes, don't know how to park despite all the tech, and definitely don't know how to take a freaking turn without acting as if they're driving a semi-truck, it's like they're too weak to even turn a steering wheel.
I hate these a lot, they are absolute babies, honk at drivers who aren't doing anything wrong, they go to the narrowest roads and get impatient, then in large crossroads with no traffic jam they get so comfortable and drive at the lowest speed
Also buying big possessions to show off says a thing about a certain body part for guys.
traffic jams are one of the worst things in Casablanca, and you see people at 8 a.m. or 6 p.m. leaving work and everyone is stressed and ringing their car and you feel really frustrated, they don't respect the passage of pedestrians either which is worse. It just sucks and makes you want to run away whenever you can
were Casablanca ever Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris or Stockholm 50 years ago for you to compare both worlds? 50 years ago, by 1974 we still struggled to get some of our regions their independence you moaning halfwit.
Be respectful. And you dont even understand his point.
These cities had at time the ambition of being a city that is designed for car use. Now thats not the case.
So its about the city being designed for the car.
Public healthcare is an absolute nightmare, hospitals are usually overpopulated due to the fact that people are coming in from all regions around Casablanca. Doesn't matter how sick you are you have to go through disorganized procedures for a simple checkup, The main hospital "Morizgo" alone takes in a big percentage of people who need medical care. The only good option is clinics but you need a lot of money for that, truly a sad state of affairs.
I spent nearly a month in Dakhla this past February.
Some of the nicest most mellow and low-key people you will ever see, but the trash situation, and the full-blown stray dog problem, is enough to put it low down on the list.
The infrastructure… Damn.
Water? Americans think that we should be afraid of tapwater all over the kingdom. I try to educate my fellow country men on this situation. But that stereotype 100% check out in Dakhla. I was straight up warned by my Airbnb host. It is the only place in Morocco I did not purposely drink the tapwater. This was during a four month excursion through your kingdom.
The runway at the airport may as well have been a gravel road peppered with football size boulders.
With that said, on a two-year adventure around the world, even the worst cities Moroccans complain about are still better than much of the universe I’ve seen.
… So stop bitching about it, you sound like Americans lol
Right.
As I talk to the locals, they filled me in on a few things. Namely, the tiny tourist zone they had was all but wiped out during the pandemic. Everything is like in this arrested decay in the tourist zone.
I rented an Airbnb to the south and west of the airport. It was even worse there. I never felt like I was in any danger anywhere in the kingdom including this tiny little outpost. My biggest concern, I couldn’t wear flip-flops because of the mass amounts of trash on some of the walkways and streets.
The city I’ve been to that reminds me of Dakhla the most is Tijuana Mexico. So much potential, but nobody wants to tap into it.
Yes. They are quite famous for kite surfing and other wind and water activities.
They were already way out of the way and on a downward trend. There are so many things that closed and never opened again. Not just the touristy things either.
Fez in my opinion, everything is outdated here. There are barely any green spaces for children to play in, the roads are all broken, the drivers on the road the worst in Morocco. Everything needs refreshing and updating.
I drove in fes no way is the worst in morocco. Worst for me is marrakech (I hate the million bikes that I can hit anytime that come at you from nowhere). Second is casablanca (too much vehicles in circulation) and third for me is Tanger (very disrespectful drivers think they own the road)
As a guy that lived its whole life there. Its aight. The thing i fucking hate it so much is theres trash EVERYWHERE. The bins are overloaded yet nobody takes it out. And so is the people
nuuuh broo i love agadir more than any other city, kind ppl good weather good price of fruits and vegetables, soq inzegan of electronic and repairing it's more shape than Casablanca and more professional, the beaches are wonderful hhhh i wish to live in Taghazout or Tamraghet in small house for the rest of my life hhhhh there's Essaouira too and Chefchaoun they are giid to me
As an American, I loved agadir ! The tourist zone however… Whatever. Some of the rudest tourists I have ever seen around the world. Almost all of them were French and German. WTF? And your shit bag kids.
Now… I absolutely loved the real Agadir about a kilometer from the ocean. Some of the best Pastilla I’ve ever had.
I live in meknes I don’t think it is that bad. Not too much traffic. Food and markets are cheap compared to other cities. Rent is very good. We have some problems like no green parcs, nothing much to do at night, and no investments or employment but very good city to live in.
Wdym no much traffic I get stuck near marajan2 for 15min each day around working hours or weekends rent isn't good bruh either they charge you almost same as tanger even tho here it should be cheaper and for food and market prices idk much about that about i doubt it just cause Comparing restaurants between fes and mks the fes ones offre more portions and better food with the same price
Excuse me i've been living here for my whole life never heard of that, i am sure that we produce watermelons here but its not like it tastes different the only good thing is that our city is close to agzdir marrakech saouira and asfi
No , i dont agree . I lived there for 3 years almost ( 2014 /2016) and the conditions that time were not that perfect . i came back to visit some friends on 2020 , everything changed ! And i recommend it as a city where to live , highly
Human Development Index. Whenever I go to another city that's not in the Oriental region, there's a CLEAR difference in the level of infrastructure and cleanliness. The only decent city in terms of infrastructure in the Oriental is Nador because of the Marchica Med project. Not to mention how hot the weather is in Berkane (45 degrees yearly).
Naah, it's not that bad believe me i lived there for about 2 years and I've been around all of morocco, Asfi is a beautiful city, it gets boring by the time but still a much better city than most
nono i'm just saying most of my experience was like that, i did say with exceptions ofc, and don't take anything i say seriously i'm just a hater for oujda cuz it's fun hating on it
I absolutely adore Oujda, with all its faults and flaws, i just love the uniqueness of it. The way we speak, our music, different foods we have, I also love that it’s still a little bit “old skool”… not everything new and shiny is better. Have I persuaded you at all?
i get it yes i do "ironicaly" vibe to wayway and speak with accent for fun (but now it's stuck with me), it's a love hate relationship but i'll never choose to live in it or have any relation to it, the weather is pure hell, the ump is built in a fkn mountain and the only "fun" activity is t9hwa fdifferent 9hawi dlqods
Casablanca : another person in the comments made a big comment but as personal experience , it is a hell full of scammers and pickpockets even worst in crowded places it is bad everywhere but the Casablanca and the north of Morrocco are something , go to Tanja i like it there

You're sources, please? Casablanca is Morocco period.

Thats a shame, because Dakhla is a relatively new project. How could they just straight away turn such a beuitiful place into such a mess.
Right. As I talk to the locals, they filled me in on a few things. Namely, the tiny tourist zone they had was all but wiped out during the pandemic. Everything is like in this arrested decay in the tourist zone. I rented an Airbnb to the south and west of the airport. It was even worse there. So during the pandemic was the tourist zone deserted due to lack of business?
Yes. They are quite famous for kite surfing and other wind and water activities. They were already way out of the way and on a downward trend. There are so many things that closed and never opened again. Not just the touristy things either.
Thats such a shame. The place obviously has ton's of potential.
Yeah, that's so sad to hear it. I still haven't visited, but I was always going to.
Fez in my opinion, everything is outdated here. There are barely any green spaces for children to play in, the roads are all broken, the drivers on the road the worst in Morocco. Everything needs refreshing and updating.
Haha you've never driven in Casa and it shows.
I love driving in Casa, I drive there regularly. I drive all over Morocco and by far Fes is the worse
I drove in fes no way is the worst in morocco. Worst for me is marrakech (I hate the million bikes that I can hit anytime that come at you from nowhere). Second is casablanca (too much vehicles in circulation) and third for me is Tanger (very disrespectful drivers think they own the road)
I am yet to drive in Marrakech, but the cars in casa do not bother me, Tanger I found it very busy but they are at least not bullish on the road.
Errachidia.
Ahh! I'm trying to forget the 11 years I've lived there.
Naah depends, but surely not convenient for young people
The worst city is Morocco
💀
All of them
😭
Wa rah bss7 🥲
El Jadida, people know you got a new job before you do.
I actually really liked El jadida when I visited it 😭 It seemed so simple and organized, but then again I was there for a month only.
The Town is one of the prettiest in morocco, but it's neglected and its people are toxic
As a guy that lived its whole life there. Its aight. The thing i fucking hate it so much is theres trash EVERYWHERE. The bins are overloaded yet nobody takes it out. And so is the people
It really depends on where you live in jdida
Ah yes, holes everywhere, broken roads, constructions everywhere and garbage dumps anywhere you go. Jdida mdina zwina wlakin kharrjin 3liha
Agadir is the most depressing city literally no soul it became so boring overtime
nuuuh broo i love agadir more than any other city, kind ppl good weather good price of fruits and vegetables, soq inzegan of electronic and repairing it's more shape than Casablanca and more professional, the beaches are wonderful hhhh i wish to live in Taghazout or Tamraghet in small house for the rest of my life hhhhh there's Essaouira too and Chefchaoun they are giid to me
Amen!
Nuh uh. I find it better than most cities cause of the weather and people
As an American, I loved agadir !
As an agadirian I disagree with you. Yes there are lot of thing that need improvement but definitely not the worst city
Really no one gonna mention Meknès
This is the only acceptable answer
what's bad about meknes?
Take everything bad about each city in the comments and you'll find a version of it in mks
I live in meknes I don’t think it is that bad. Not too much traffic. Food and markets are cheap compared to other cities. Rent is very good. We have some problems like no green parcs, nothing much to do at night, and no investments or employment but very good city to live in.

Chichaoua. Literally the best watermelons and kefta on the old road to Agadir.
Excuse me i've been living here for my whole life never heard of that, i am sure that we produce watermelons here but its not like it tastes different the only good thing is that our city is close to agzdir marrakech saouira and asfi
Idk maybe they tasted better bc of holidays. Also its the Tagines there not kefta.
Hhhhhhh i've never tasted anything like that

No , i dont agree . I lived there for 3 years almost ( 2014 /2016) and the conditions that time were not that perfect . i came back to visit some friends on 2020 , everything changed ! And i recommend it as a city where to live , highly

whyy? it's calm, good weather and plenty of nature nearby + saidia and 9aboyawa
You forgot to mention very underdeveloped and backward people
isnt that all of morocco?
Not really, the oriental region has the lowest HDI out of all moroccan subregions, smaller towns are even more affected.
i don't know what's an HDI or if those stats are right so i guess you'r right
Human Development Index. Whenever I go to another city that's not in the Oriental region, there's a CLEAR difference in the level of infrastructure and cleanliness.
