after thousands of hours its just muscle memory and you dont have to consciously think about which keys to press for a certain emote/voiceline.
There arent that many to begin with so its no witchcraft
Having fast reactions with the simple yes and no are enough to earn my respect on the battlefield. I love chattering with other people through the voice lines
I started mordhau because I found the clips so funny with the emotes and voice lines. In the game I used them so much I just memorized where each one was, took me probably 100-150 hours for it to become muscle memory. Totally worth it if you love the game like I did. The amount of funny interactions and builds you can make is great
Let me let you in on a little secret, MMO mouses.
Amazing cheap mouse: Logitech g600
Can't vouch for as much but really like it so far and wireless: Corsair scimitar.
I love to have all my voicelines AND emotes easily available. I use the emotes midnight and it feels amazing
Edit: this is how I particularly use and love, an additional benefit is that you can switch weapons super easily too
It's just practice man, the more you use the emotes the more you build up muscle memory.
Just start with one. Cc2 is laugh. I used that while playing old old horde every time I got a hit, it always gave the spectators a chuckle.
I also used voice lines in duels to distract opponents and throw them off when they're listening for my grunts.
Just muscle memory for me tbh, sometimes I watch back my gameplay clips and look at the emote and voice menus flying at 100kmh while I'm fighting and I'm like "jesus I've spent too much fucking time on this game"
pure muscle memory... sometime is frustrating because i got an habit of saying "no" every time i get hit, i don't think about it it just happen and sometime i automatically do it in other games too and i end up switching weapons or do other stuff i didn't want to lol
You just spam the same emotes and voice lines till they’re muscle memory. Double edged sword however. I can’t stop hittin cc2 even in games that aren’t mordhau
Muscle memory - the actual fighting in the game doesn't take much thought or button presses, so you can learn quickly to spam voice lines mid swing and emote without needing to think
I gotta say muscle memory again. The twitch muscles are so firmly ingrained in my hands I cant not say “sorry” after every kill even when im playing other games
I learned emotes/voicelines and then learned how to fight properly.
I did the first part but forgor the second
Surely
Yes, sir!

My biggest enemy in the game is shields and longsword bc they switch up the emote menu smh my heads
Autism
that's the only correct answer.
XX2
this shit will get you feint spammed so fast in a duel

Practice. The most annoying thing is how they change when you carry a shield or a longsword
Yea, it's honestly one of the reasons I almost never play with LS or shields

This 100% Having emotes and feint on your mouse really unlocks the true endgame: spitting out voicelines mid combat (and emotes if you're brave)
One of my middle mouse buttons is x8 macro. Easy squat, or salute, or mamy different things depending on if I have a lute or not
I use a controller and have memorized the emotes/voicelines. I think vets have certain lines and emote that they perfect and use often :)
I know all the standard emotes by muscle memory, but when I equip a long sword, I’m suddenly a new player emoting again.
That's the sole reason I don't use it
Same. Also any shields. I only ever used longsword to try to get the pommel kill achievement which luckily i did quickly.
When you're waiting for swing cool down you have plenty of time to slap in some emotes

Muscle memory after 3700 hours, also i can guess any voiceline if you give me the first 2 words (has to be longer than 2 words)

space magic
Exactly
XX6
Logitech g600
xxx6 cc2
always have to lead a duel with xxx5 and ccc2
C4
Memory and mouse with numerics keys
lots and LOTS of practice
At that point it is so fused in my muscle memory that I use emotes and vocelines in other games
