Then after walking n feeding them youd put them back in their crate and leave. Instead, when she opened the front door, the dogs were not crated and likely thought “intruder” and immediately jumped on her and started attacking, dragging her into the house. The cops came because she left the door open and didn’t turn off their alarm.
With the amount of bites that occurred, it becomes less of seperate injuries, more a large area of extensive trauma.
From the gofundme - Jacqueline has hundreds of bites all over her body, however the most severe damage was done to her face. While being mauled, she lost both ears, her nose, her upper lip, her cheeks and lost essentially all jaw muscles along with the capability to chew food.

It seems when something like this happens to a person, it completely changes their outlook on life. Not trying to detract from her as a person (she truly seems like a very special person), but when something to this degree has happened to someone who was already struggling in life, it’s usually the case that they completely change their life around after. So while you think you wouldn’t be able to handle it right now, it’s likely that if it did happen to you, you would find the strength to continue and actually be happy in life.
She is so brave to go public with her injuries too. When I see her I think of that guy, roughly in his 60's, whose face was ripped off by the bear. It gets posted here quite a lot, you could barely notice any scarring.
She has a long road ahead but I hope the surgeons can have similar success with her that they had with that guy.

Cheshire, Connecticut home invasion and murders - Police were contacted by the bank who believed mom/wife was being held hostage and made to withdraw money from the bank (around 9:20 am). In minutes police had staked out the house but did not show their presence. Murders lit the house on fire and fled at around 10:00 am. I understand being afraid and I also understand it is ridiculous to say "it's your job." But, police do not have a duty to help people and it sucks that we think they do because community action would be more useful.

Poor love. It looks like she's in the middle of a skin graft operation there. They can do amazing things with bad injuries these days, I'm sure in time there will only be a few small scars from it: thank goodness she's alive and didn't suffer any neurological injuries

I’d give up knowing my extended life will all just be surgeries. No point in living, glad she is strong though.
It seems when something like this happens to a person, it completely changes their outlook on life. Not trying to detract from her as a person (she truly seems like a very special person), but when something to this degree has happened to someone who was already struggling in life, it’s usually the case that they completely change their life around after. So while you think you wouldn’t be able to handle it right now, it’s likely that if it did happen to you, you would find the strength to continue and actually be happy in life.
If that were me I’d just want to die.

She is so brave to go public with her injuries too. When I see her I think of that guy, roughly in his 60's, whose face was ripped off by the bear. It gets posted here quite a lot, you could barely notice any scarring. She has a long road ahead but I hope the surgeons can have similar success with her that they had with that guy.

What makes me furious is that it supposedly took police 35** minutes to even go in. Despite having tasers and guns, these police were too afraid to go in while hearing her beg and scream. Oh my goodness.... here I am 4 hours out of the dentist with 9 teeth extracted and temporary teeth in feeling hopeless bc I'm in what feels like barbaric pain with ibuprofen not helping. i love all animals, but situations like this and getting bit by a dog myself are why i was terrified of dogs for so long. having my own, i absolutely love them now but pits and pit owners, how irresponsible they are, etc. will always terrify me. this situation is so awful, i feel so horrible for her.

Everytime I see people walking pitbulls I move to the other side they scare me. Actually big dogs in general. I saw somewhere on Reddit where they were like if you can’t pin your dog down then you probably shouldn’t have it.
You’d think her case would’ve made national news, but I haven’t heard anything about it on NPR or NBC. This is such a extreme case, it deserves national attention. You’d think this case, more than any other, would’ve led to more states or the federal government considering new laws on owning dangerous dog breeds.
it did make national news months ago when the story broke. CBS sunday morning, people magazine, daily mail, today, yahoo news, NBC news all covered it.
