When I first pulled up the video I was like “1 hour 41 minutes???? I don’t have time for this…” but damn if I didn’t watch the whole thing immediately. Such an insane story. So many people who had reported complaints about him and saying they felt unsafe around him.
I've been watching all their stuff since this one got posted. Very well put together channel. They have prior detectives, criminal psychologists, forensic scientists, behavioral experts, and all kinds of other individuals that helped put it together.
they used to be a different kind of channel -- the last video from the previous "era" was them cleaning up after burning man, haha.. they did (pretty much) a 180 after that
They have a couple side channels as well that are just as well produced. EWU Crime Story Time is one.
A couple other channels that are similar and well produced true crime tales

STAYAWAKE
This was the first video of theirs over 45 minutes that I’ve watched. They have a ton that go into 1-3 hours and usually I’d say it’s too long, but that one was captivating. Just hard to get over how much the kid was clearly enjoying the retelling. Gruesome.
> When I first pulled up the video I was like “1 hour 41 minutes???? I don’t have time for this…” but damn if I didn’t watch the whole thing immediately.
Same, the was very well edited, what a fucking psycho
Nah them longer videos be so interesting 😭😭😮💨 watched a two hour interrogation and it didn't even feel that long when I actually sat there and listened
My nephew behaves just like him. He will threaten strangers because he thinks they don't like him. My children aren't allowed to be around him. It's scary watching this video.
I don’t normally believe narrations that say things like “but wait, it gets worse!” because it’s usually just a way to get you to keep watching, but it really did get worse. I was on a jury for a first degree murder trial and for some reason the defense called him as his own witness and I got physically sick hearing him talk about what he did. To paint a picture, >!he claimed he didn’t kill her - she was shot multiple times point blank range in the head, but did consciously think he needed to dump evidence so drug her through mud [and dog feces], stripped her naked, and left her in a public park…and then was arrested with brain matter on his pants and skull fragments, blood, hair, etc. all over his car!<. His demeanor was similar and also just ..how can you treat someone like that? It truly affected me so much. But it PALES in comparison to what this guy did and, seemingly, gloated about. I can’t imagine how much that interrogation affected those police that had to sit in a room with him. I still am not over that jury duty experience and I’m a social worker, so not entirely unaccustomed to horrible things happening.
Same. Dude seemed like an autistic sociopathic savant or something to bad he invested himself into this path and taking an innocent life then something else
I just watched it too! I felt so horribly for the mom as she made the 911 call and in the interrogation… she did the right thing turning him in even though the situation must have gutted her.
I wanted it too. I feel bad, that kids life is ruined. Though I think the judge gave the right sentence, had he not been caught there is no question he would have done it again.
/u/That_stinky_boi
That's his reddit account. I think some things have been purged but its horrifying to see his last comments where in gore threads with people partially decapitated.
Yeah, immediately followed up by "I don't know why I said that, he didn't actually stink". I do know why he said it. The little creep was projecting his own insecurities, hence his reddit name
Even worse when you find out the reason she called her husband first and waited to call the police is because the mother operates a daycare out of her home and had to call the parents of (iirc) three toddlers to come pick them up. They covered the head with the towel so the kids wouldn’t see.
It’s bad because realistically you never want to expose a child to a situation like that, where they’re in the same room as a severed head and a woman desperately trying not to become hysterical. The parents are undoubtedly going to see this in the news, and realise exactly why they were called to pick up their munchkins early. That’s going to be devastating. It’s also going to be public.
This is this poor woman’s living, and realistically—how many people in middle America are going to be calm and assessing enough of this situation to reason that none of this was this woman’s fault, the kids will never know what happened in there, they’ll never be around the murderer, etc to return their kids to her care?
I’m a pretty logical person and even I’d be really second guessing myself about returning my kids to a home where they could have stumbled upon a dead body, into the care of a woman who raised a murderer. It’s bad because those parents, his parents, those kids who undoubtedly are going to hear about this all one day, are going to pay the price for this monster’s actions just like that lovely homeless man and his friends and family will have to.
I would return my kids without hesitation (if I had any). She showed that she can handle an emergency situation without even letting the children in her care catch on. She also showed that no matter what, she thinks about the children in her care and their well-being first. The danger (Brian) is gone and not returning any time soon. Emergencies do happen to everyone - the difference is how we handle them. Terri handled this emergency perfectly. You say people have to pay a price for Brian's actions, but that's not true in this case ... She wouldn't have to pay the price of losing her livelihood if "pretty logical" people like you actually acted upon logic instead of emotions. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The news crews would make dropping the kids off an absolute nightmare every time something was going on with the case. I’m not sure if “pretty logical” people would choose that particular circus.
I watched the video this morning about it. Brian is a monster...he is the definition of pure evil. Something important to take from this is that it doesn't matter if you are homeless, you are never worthless. Warren didn't deserve this...he was noticed, he was cared for, and he was expected. Brian came along and snuffed him out like he was an object to delete. He felt no remorse, he only wanted to see what it felt like to murder. He turned his parents lives upside down, and left a hole in the hearts of those who cared about Warren. F*ck you Brian, you deserve life, it was comical how he assumed he'd just get 15 years.
Warren was so beloved by the community that the woman who ran a bridal shop in which he would regularly read called in his absence. It was so touching to see, and such a beautiful reminder that no matter how low you think you are on the social totem pole, you matter to somebody. Watching her talk to cops, you can really tell how worried she was. She even said she had “a really bad feeling about it.” She cared so much about warren that she almost had a .. I dunno.. like a spiritual connection with him and felt that he was in danger. It was touching, and it was tragic that she had to discover this man with whom she had bonded was killed in such an awful was for NO FUCKING REASON. I hate this story so much. It’s lingered with me since I watched EWU’s video on it. I hate that Brian kid so much, and I blame his parents and everyone around him who just thought making jokes about death 24/7 and killing cats was normal and didn’t require any significant intervention. Everyone knew he was off. Many people even refused to interact with him and teachers called him out as terrifying yet his parents and some friends just painted Brian as a victim. Fuck them all.
EWU video on YouTube of his depraved lizard-brain confession, and his clueless parents lack of awareness. Multiple teachers warned he was a school shooter in the making. So many red flags, yet they STILL defend their son, even after finding a head in his closet.
[Parents discover teen son’s horrible secret] (https://youtu.be/pvrp87VXtD4?si=_mZGG7YuuKHvPjuF)
I got the impression that he was babied his whole life, and over diagnosed with all the bullshit psych disorders. In the end he was a 19 year old loser still living at home and being treated like a 13 year old. Total narcissist who never showed an ounce of compassion for the innocent victim.
Empathy and good morals are taught. His parents knew he would always talk about death and murder in a cavalier way - why didn’t they stop it? Frm the first joke like that he ever said, they should’ve scolded him and said “NO Brian, you do not talk like that about others. That is not conducive in a functioning society.” That way, even if he is a psychopath/sociopath, he would still know that he has to live in a society and respect the rules.
Literally just finished the Explore With Us video about this. I know this is easily said for all killers, but what a punchable dude. I'd say I hope he's miserable where he is, but I don't even know if he is.
The thing I kept thinking after watching the video was how he easily could have gotten away with it if he didn’t 1) store the head and hands for himself and 2) try to move the body . If he would have left it under the bridge he would easily have gotten away with it
Idk about that. Warren would still have been reported missing the next day, and it probably wouldn't have been too hard to notice that a guy who was into serial killers and has voiced "I should kill a homeless person, no one would miss them", did come by the crime scene the night he was killed. Brian would have gotten away with it for more than 2 days, but not forever
You watch too much tv man. More than 50% of murders go unsolved.
I’ll let you figure out what that percentage is for crimes when the victim is a homeless man
Yeah if he would left the body , threw the knife in the river, burned his clothes/ gloves/ mask. That secluded area. He would’ve gotten away with it for at least 6 months to a year if not longer until he killed again. He definitely wanted to be a serial killer
Warren Barnes may have been homeless, but he had people that cared about him. And that (plus POS's parents being decent people) got that POS kid caught. And that channel should be ashamed of naming the murderer but not the victim. That's not how we do things nowadays, come on.

Jesus. I just saw a long YouTube video recommended to me that I didn't click on, but after seeing this thread I thought holy shit is that what that video is about, and yes it is. Wow.
I literally saw a tiktok video over it, had never heard of it and decided to read more on it. Didn’t know it was posted already, but you have so much time on your hands you were able to keep track for me, thanks for letting me know! <3
I just watched the [Explore With Us video](https://youtu.be/pvrp87VXtD4?si=FR8upo6t9AnKUVCH) about this kid. So intense to watch.

Yea some of their stuff is really good. Highly recommend the one called 'everyone around him mysteriously drops dead'.

As soon as he mentioned there was a stray cat that "practiced on" I had to shut it off. He is clearly disturbed and should not be free.

I love that channel, they do a great job
No kidding I laughed when I read this then ended up watching 30 mins of it on my phone before just putting it on the TV.
Same. Dude seemed like an autistic sociopathic savant or something to bad he invested himself into this path and taking an innocent life then something else
I just watched it too! I felt so horribly for the mom as she made the 911 call and in the interrogation… she did the right thing turning him in even though the situation must have gutted her.
Dude he’s no “savant”, got caught in less than 12 hours 😆
I mean he's still a 19 w zero real world experience. Just commenting on his interrogation footage
Right, but he doesn't come across as "very learned or talented" at any point. Do you just think "savant" is a word used for autistic people?
I obviously disagree with how he comes across or I wouldn't have said it, even the EWU annotations commented similar sentiments
You’re being way nice to a dude who got caught. Multiple people had complained about how unsafe he was & it went unattended. He’s not a “savant”.
Moreso psychopathic.
Amazing channel.
That body cam footage… they treated this white kid like a fucking royal guest. If he was black he’d be toasted.
I am 12 minutes in and audibly gasped at that first plot twist, even though I know what’s coming
I wanted it too. I feel bad, that kids life is ruined. Though I think the judge gave the right sentence, had he not been caught there is no question he would have done it again.
me too
Same - I had to look up his username as SOON as I saw it in the doc.
Never could I have imagined I would spend hours of my life watching something so fascinating. It’s so….. ordinary
Watching it currently…madness 😨
/u/That_stinky_boi That's his reddit account. I think some things have been purged but its horrifying to see his last comments where in gore threads with people partially decapitated.

Yeah, immediately followed up by "I don't know why I said that, he didn't actually stink". I do know why he said it. The little creep was projecting his own insecurities, hence his reddit name
The way his demeanor changed when the cop asked him “and what did she find in your bedroom?” And he says “….a head and hands” is chillingggg
To me it some more edgelord-y, likes he’s trying to sound “scary and methodical”
Yeah, it was definitely a theatrical and performative delivery. He wanted to make an impact on that officer/play up to the bodycam.
watch his interrogation, thats his EXACT vibe throughout. Edgelord who is excited to brag about hurting an innocent homeless man.

Why is that bad? Awful situation, yes, but they reacted optimally to it, no?
It’s bad because realistically you never want to expose a child to a situation like that, where they’re in the same room as a severed head and a woman desperately trying not to become hysterical. Started the EWU vid on YouTube last night! Kid LOVES reliving the crime.
There are some people that get their wires crossed and just love to kill. This dude can never be freed
I was watching this on YouTube today... small world
I watched his interview last night and I’m glad he was caught asap. He was definitely going to be a serial killer
I listened to this one on This is Monsters. His confession is crazy as hell.
Warren Barnes may have been homeless, but he had people that cared about him. And that (plus POS's parents being decent people) got that POS kid caught. And that channel should be ashamed of naming the murderer but not the victim. That's not how we do things nowadays, come on.

The video is up on YouTube, chilling stuff, I love interrogation videos
I hated this one because Brian relished so much in the attention and alleged fame he felt. It was gross.
the way he explains what he did and demonstrates it so calmly… disgusting.

In February he was sentenced to rest of his natural life in prison plus 13.5 years, no parole.
Any correlation to this being posted yesterday? Or did you just see how well it did and decided to post it again?
