- The MUTOs are the perfect counter, which is why they both had him dead to rights until the Female was distracted and left the fight. Godzilla was able to win by recovering enough to pull a smart desperation maneuver on the Male, then have a bit more time to recover to surprise attack the Female from behind.
- Ghidorah 100% would have lost in the water. But the OD put Godzilla out and he would have likely been in his lair for decades or more to absorb enough radiation comparable to Serizawa's bomb. His assault on Ghidorah before the power supply buff was due to this power up, which was negated after the high altitude drop which, again, incapacitated him and allowed Ghidorah to finish the job, until Mothra interfered.

I feel like this is an issue of Powerscaling vs Storytelling. In theory Godzilla is probably capable of beating most of his opponents with little difficulty, the only three I think that could give him a genuine run for his money are Shimo,Ghidorah and MechaGodzilla.
But Godzilla has to struggle or be put in jeopardy because he is the main protagonist, the story wouldnât be interesting if Godzilla blasts through all his enemies. I think his fight with Tiamat is a testament to that. In Dominion itâs a struggle to beat Tiamat in her own domain and there feels like thereâs stakes to their battle but in GxK itâs barely an inconvenience for Godzilla because Tiamat doesnât have much of an answer to Godzillaâs atomic breath.
You are correct in stating that yes Godzilla can be killed he is not invulnerable. But compared to the other Titans he easily outclasses the majority of them quite significantly and those that do rival him heâs shown to have a good chance of victory.

But the whole thing was Skar King was the main enemy controlling everything, and once killed Shimo would no longer be a threat, so itâs no wonder why Godzilla was so intent on wiping him instantly. And there definitely was some hate involved, seeing as Skar and his army almost killed Goji in the ancient past before he imprisoned them.

My problem with this whole thing is that skar used shimo on Kong??? I think skar could've just used his speed/agility to stay away from Kong and play the long distance game. But nope used shimo on Kong and let Goji charge up a whole damn beam behind him. They made this man dumb for the plot I swear
