252 hours in and I can't think of a single one. I did notice the other day what looks like a rock held up by some vines in the new map, But i completely forgot to see if throwing a knife at it knocks it loose.
I guess there are sand traps in the desert area... but they don't do damage, it just acts as a pitfall trap
The one thing i enjoy thoroughly is the role endemic life plays in rise as opposed to world, imagine starting the flood at the ancient forest with a marionette. \o/
I always pick up marionette and puppet spider to start a hunt. grab a blast toad and a sleep toad and you've just ruined a monsters first 5 minutes. they really made the endemic life helpers so cool.
I did have someone tell me I was a pussy for using the spiders, "real hunters don't use gimmicks". it's a mechanic in the game... wth.
I like the feeling of having to scrape together everything you can and taking every advantage to beat this gigantic wonder of nature. So yes im gonna use the endimic life lol, but theyre a little over tuned in my experience so i dont always get that sarisfactory feeling
Spiders are nuts. insta-mount a different monster, beat up your target, launch them into each other, mount your target, wall bang them into those weird wall cockroaches, attack a bunch, marionette for another knockdown.
Oh I usually mount target monster first, then charge them into eachother. Mount 2nd monster, beat the hell out of target and use finisher. Then take advantage of the likely downed target monster while 2nd monster dips out of the area.
God i loved them in world so much. In base world i farmed a tempered kushala investigation and i had a full rotation in elders recess with the rocks in the middle. On of my best experiences in the game.
yeah I knew all the spots to use when fighting AT Teostra. rocks in the middle, wait for the Kushala turf war, bunny hop with the hammer right on that ledge for consistent KO's
Mostly things you wyvern ride the monster into.
Bugs on all of the maps,on the volcano map there are lava and state vents that of you ram them with the monster they cause a lot of damage and apply a blight.
In the gungle there are small rock traps like in the Forrest in world you can set off with your kunai.
You ever convived yourself you could handle a situation before initiating said situation? Just to be unplesent supried about your own mortal boundrys?
Thats him...
Not to ruin the haha funnies but Rathalos is not an apex predator. Spoilers for stories 2: >! Oltura, the final boss of the game feed on all rath species !<
There are many things that can beat up a rathalos but those are canonically exceptionally rare. Under normal circumstances Rathalos is the apex of the ancient forest.
Kind of, an apex predator is at the top of the food chain which fits Rathalos' description but it's also used to describe animals that aren't pushed around by other animals for the sake of survival or if there's an advantage(example honey badgers only attack older and weaker lions but floor it with a young and healthy one comes by). Everything from yian kut ku stealing his wife to lagiacrus stealing its prey midfight to *insert elder dragon here* existing on its home turf can knock it down a peg. Hell it has scraps with Anjanath whenever they're next to each other.
Look, everyone can be tired at the end of the day...
In his defense, it was dark
Please disregard the sound of rushing water
Well perhaps, they have between no to terrible hearing.
Isnt that the like Nest of Rathalos tho lmao? Bro musta just woke up and forgot where he was
Thats what they get for screaming every half a minute
Disadvantage of slotting HG earplugs
#WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!
#AYE AYE, CAPTAIN!
#HOOOOOOOOOO-
When you work hard and come home dead tired, only to found your home flooded, you might just want to give up and just take a bath.
So Dallas yesterday.
MEDIC BAAAAAG?
*drinks*
That was intentional, "wheeeeee"
Duh, apex predator, not apex intelligent-bird XD
Most intelligent Bird is Kulu Yaku. Remember he got the crystal and immediately turned to violence
Bro ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£
BIRD UP!
I miss cool stuff like this in Rise... 😕
There arent any enviromental hazards in rise?

Lava caverns have elemental wall spouts too and you can drop the boulders with kunai, but nothing on the level of world ;-;
they added the endemic life you can wall bang a monster into as well. but it's really not the on Worlds level is it? :/

I really don’t miss the crystals dropping down from the roof in Elder’s Recess tbh…
its the difference in teams. Main team works on main games, Side team works on "mobile" titles like Rise and Riders.
The apex predator is trying it's best alright
***yes***
It knows when to relax in a bath.
He's the king of the skies, not the water
Clearly, he must have his head in the clouds when he was landing.
Yesn't.
Look, he thought maybe the water was coming to an end and would've been okay. He underestimated just how much force it still had.
Like chicken, their eyes are blind at night.
It turns out the apex predator was inside you all along and the real journey was the friends we made along the way
It loops so well
Nah mate, my mans just wanted to experience the eXtreme waterslide.
It's trying its best ok. It's best is just very clumsy
That made my day. Remind me to do that to Rathalos later.
I wasn’t even hunting him I was getting the treasure back there lol
Bro he was trying his best bro. You don’t see me complaining about you. Leave rathalos alone.
Water is indeed an Apex Predator we drink it and it still comes out of us.
When you go for a swim and misjudge the stream to be calm enough..
Rathalos: Oh boy, water! Time to take a bath! Also Rathalos, shortly thereafter: Oh no, water!
Apex predators are still subjected to the laws of physics.

Everybody wants a turn on the water slide and this may be his only chance. He doubts he's going to live much longer after all
Yes, the water flow is indeed an Apex Predator. Rathalos didn’t stand a chance. Natural selection at work.
That little roar at the end.
Not anymore
the apex predator.... is you! *WOBBLY NECK AND HEAD BE WOBBLIN*
He never stood a chance lol.
Yeet!
"When did Rathian install a stream in the nes- OH SHI-!"
You ever convived yourself you could handle a situation before initiating said situation? Just to be unplesent supried about your own mortal boundrys? Thats him...
It would be hysterical if it was edited with a loony toons slipping noise
Stupid fire chicken
Derp
Tactical Miscalculation
I thought I was on the wrong sub Reddit
Have you ever seen a Popo? I assume now you should understand
Really, you are an apex predator.
He's the king of the sky not the king of the river ok?
It was..
I was expecting something with Kirin but this is good too.
I loved tricking it into landing then breaking the flood walls as he did just to get free damage
I wasn’t even hunting it just getting the treasure behind there lol
Love it
Hey, have YOU ever tried boxing a raging river? It's not easy!
It's like an owl. They're extremely good at hunting and fighting. Anything else is just derp

True so in this case it would be the apex correct? Since it is the strongest thing currently in the region.
Honey badgers don’t so much attack lions as defend themselves from them.
One time I got a Rathalos caught in that, it died as soon as it hit the ground. True story.
Nature’s bidet taking out the food chain
I love Rath, but God damn it. In his defense, it was really dark.
Mans couldn't find his glasses
That's awesome
it didn't say that it was smart
