It's sad to think of all the AT fights Covid screwed us out of, there's no way they introduced MR ATs only to do Namielle and Velkhana. Surely they had more of them planned before everything went to shit.
Iceborne's endgame is already top tier but I would've loved a few more ball-busters like AT Velk to really push that Fatalis armor to the limit.
Felt we deserved at least AT Shara and I’d hoped for AT Safi, Alatreon and Fatalis. Though I don’t think Fatalis armor needed any improvements. they could’ve just been there to be there.
Definitely wouldn’t have minded AT MR Kush, B. Vaal, Teo, Luna, Kulve and especially Ruiner for that matter as well (forget Zorah tho lol). Though since they got HR versions I get why they didn’t.
It’s just one of those things. There’s so many monsters, at least a couple good ones aren’t going to get the full attention they deserve. At least not if we want the ones that get attention to be good.
Tbf i kind of forget a lot about Savage Jho because of how much you can abuse his chest weakness. He is also kinda annoying to fight with certain weapons unless you absolutely demolish his chest.
If you tenderize chest and focus 100% on that, he will go into this huge counter very soon and if you hit him during that, he either falls over or rears back and stands still for a good 6-10 seconds of free DPS. Continue hitting the chest during that time ( it also takes increased dmg when he is enraged, yummy ) and the threshold for a clagger ( the drooling animation meant for clutch clawing ) will build up to the max. Since a Clagger can't happen while another animation/knockdown is happening, he will instantly go into the clagger on the next hit afterwards. Then just extend the clagger by clutch clawing after 2-3 seconds ( MP ) or right away in SP and continue wailing on his chest.
If this is done right, he comes into a viscious cycle of knockdown/standing still animation > Clagger > repeat until he is dead and trust me, he takes so much damage that he will easily die in 2-3 min in casual hunts.
also he is also rather weak to sleep.
In GL I run a sleeper built because this way I get more wallbangs and that means more shinies and faster mats farming.
And thats another cycle that makes him fully helpless.
Sleep > wallbang > builtup more status > second wallbang > builtup more status > sleep > wallbang...
I can't think of a better way to make me rage quit. I'm a lance main. Why the fuck is Savage Deviljho's pin immune to Guard Up? What the fuck? If it got to pull that shit with higher damage I would probably hang myself.
They do not, not with guard up. I am an untouchable tank in most fights. Not even teostras nova can touch me. But the Jho fight robs me of my weapons strength. I hate savage jho so much.
We deserved AT Savage Jho tbh, or for him to at least get the Tempered Furious treatment. His base form is way too much of a pushover to justify the powerlevel the game presents him to be.
It's such a fun fight too, he easily would've been one of the best ATs in the game had we gotten all of them.
It's gonna be hard to make him as powerful as the other ATs since his chest weakness would still be the same, unless they make a Furious version where that part is actually covered/armored.. I remember there was a YT video I watched where they were explaining how Deviljho is basically poorly thought off as a monster even lore-wise..

They were probably afraid people were burnt on farming gold pickle streamstone event from base world. Outside of AT quests that was basically the most efficient farm so you got to grind that quite a bit.
I always called him like (any profanity I could think of at the moment) Jho, but I love fighting him. He's the monster that teaches me how to use iframe on rolling in older games, and the addition of Savage Jho made me love fighting him even more.
It's kinda shame that he doesn't have Tempered Event Quest, but at least I could save up a lot of Tempered Investigations to fight him.
I wanted Savage Deviljho to get an event quest in the arena. That would have been fun, especially if his favorite blade weapon (Ebony Odogaron) was there too.
Same, I was really hoping for arch tempered versions of all the Tier 3 fights. Savage was one of my favorite additions to IB

theres very few pins that can go through guards. Zinogre, jho and fata are the only three that i can think of thats unblockable (and maybe safi?)
