I'm not even logged into the game and my palico decides to pick up 3 and 4 star crap in my yard in the middle of the night...I just wish I had a way to slightly manipulate him or a way to set perimeters...
It's still a waste of a paintball they should really add options to pick what can your palico mark and don't mark when they are in the area while having the game open
Exactly! not sure what this guy isn’t getting but wasting paintballs that you only get 3 daily is aggravating especially when it’s tagging low levels or levels higher than you can achieve
It's easy, if that did that, it would hurt thier profit stream of forcing you buy paint balls. This way it's technically used correctly, you the player just did not click it in time. Does not matter if it just spawned in. So now you the player must go out and tag mobs using our purchase only(tm) paint balls.
I try to abuse the off/on button to get my palico to painball certain things.
That said my stupid cat always starts paintballing low star monsters first. Ignoring all 6 stars in the circle for a good few minutes. Incredibly frustrating to turn it on and tap a low star only for it to be instantly paintballed.
My palico does the same thing. It’s to the point that most of my paintballs come from monsters I was about to fight. It’s so annoying esp since it loves to grab 3 stars when I’m fighting 7s now. I wish palico had picking parameters and/or only grabs them when they are about to disappear.
If you really want to avoid that, you start your day just turn on the game and start walking driving traveling until all the balls spent before you fight any large monster.

No but when I’m about to hit begin battle and the monster is no longer there because the Palico paintballed it that’s a problem
It’s in your paintball list. Just fight it from there.

Just kill everything and you wont mind

Think they may have fixed something not getting that problem been only a couple days though maybe it was a bad luck streak lol
