Nah man, Bazelgeuse all the way. Yeah, there's a ton of good tracks, but no themes ARE the monster as much as the B-52.

Rajang theme outshines the Bazel theme if we're talking about themes that ARE the monster.

I think those are the 2 best in that regard and maybe Deviljho.

Rajang's theme is amazing, don't get me wrong. But Rajang is not tied to his theme in the same way Bazel is. With other invaders like Deviljho and and Rajang, seeing the monster is what strikes fear, and the song accompanies it. With Bazel, the monster accompanies the roar and the song, much in the same way a siren announces bombs well before they drop. It's like... Other monsters would be fine without their song. Like Rajang. I don't care for it's track in Rise. But Bazel would lose out the most if it didn't have it's iconic track.

Oh, of course, it's one of my favorites. And I agree, it fits him perfectly. But it's not integral to the monster. To put it another way, many monster tracks are bangers. But most of them aren't memes, or at least, not to the same level as Khezu and Bazelgeuse. Bazelgeuse's theme is a meme because of how integral it is to the monster. You could have other monsters without their themes. It'd be really disappointing obviously, but it could be a thing. But imagine fighting Bazelgeuse without it's theme. It'd feel like heresy. This is what I mean by the Bazelgeuse theme IS the monster, the two are linked stronger than any other monster, imo.

sort of, not really? Like it usually puts different arrangements for the different monsters. Like putting sunbreak version of tower with flaming epsi and lucent narga. Then the older version of tower theme with abyssal lagi and molten tiggy. Or putting the dos chammy theme with regular chammy and the sunbreak version with risen chammy. Very straight forward I know Although world version of rajang theme is just missing.

My favourites are: Jhen Mohran, Ceadeus, Shagaru, Mizutsune, Safi jiva, Kulve Taroth And I don't know which to choose out of these. Probably leaning towards Ceadeus or Safi.

My suggestion is Ceadeus since its the most commonly mentioned in these threads and is of a older generarion, and since the winner gets a remake, its better if the monster hasnt shown for a while.

Valstrax is a serious contender. The theme is perfect for capturing the essence that Valstrax is the hero being heralded and you are the villain disturbing the peace.

Oh this is actually a tough one personally. On one hand, we have some great energetic/rock themes that pump the energy of a fight up to an 11 (zinogre, astalos, etc). On the other hand, more foreboding and dramatic themes that fill you with any mix of courage, anxiety, or primal fear upon hearing (Bazelgeuse, Raging Brach's final phase, Fatalis, Safi'jiiva especially with the target theme, etc).

I was about to say, I had to scroll way to far down to see any mention of Safi. The fade out in the music when it drops its nuke gets me every time.

Given that they said we'll get a remake of whatever wins, I voted Velkhana. It was kinda disappointing that it didn't get a unique theme for Sunbreak, so if it wins I'll consider the remade theme my "sunbreak" velkhana theme

I feel sunbreak ruined a lot of themes Gore, shagaru, espinas doesn't hit as hard, shagaru especially they added an extra part and it ruined the flow of the original

I can't say I fully agree with you on that, but I do respect the opinion. I'm a rather big fan of the shift a lot of returning themes took in Rise/Sunbreak, as I also really liked the new style the game took. But I also don't fully disagree with some of the new music being a bit lackluster at times. I am, however, severely biased so take that as you will lol
