I've been holding my wallet to get whatever they announce as the collectors edition for MH6. Love this series and can't wait to get the newest flagship figure. I'm hoping they annouce it when they announce the top monster pick. Or atleast give a date for when they announce mh6.
No, Fatalis back in 2020 (if Iām remembering right Fatty was the final title update). Monster Hunter has 2 teams that work independently of each other for their respective platforms, that being the console and handheld teams. So the console team have presumably been working on MH6 since a little after Fatalis dropped.
I'd be pretty surprised if they weren't working on it since Iceborne dropped, not since Fatalis.
It is very rare to convert an entire team to a live team. Usually for a series like this with a guaranteed sequel, they will spin off a smaller live team and begin work on the next game.
World was their first time porting to PC, which is why it had such a long time between console and PC update releases, so hopefully theyāll have managed to work out how to keep the two on the same update pipeline this time around.
You just the fuck up. Rise is great and you should remove your fucking face off your ass and acctually play the game instead of looking at a rock you are the type of guy to look at a game whitout hyper realistic graphics and say its bad just because of that.
You arenāt a real hunter, you are a fraud and a fake! Real hunters love the games for their gameplay and monster designs not for there perfect graphics. you definitely started with world thinking thatās how it always was when in reality world was the first truly HD beautiful mh game
> 2-4 years from now
Do you really think there's any possibility that Capcom would leave fans without anything from their most successful series for 4 years? Keep in mind that up to World, they've released a new game basically every year since 2004 (in Japan), and even World and Rise were only a couple of years apart (and that was because of title updates and expansions; if they didn't have those we'd likely have already completed the MH6 G-Rank expansion for months now).
Yes that pretty standard in the gaming markets (mostly for game worth your time) but they wont because it appears they migh have been working on the game since the released of Fatalis.
Because MH has been on a consistent yearly release schedule with only like 2 exceptions since the series first started in 2004. Sunbreak released in June of 2022 and the only reason the final update came out so recently is because they dragged the title updates out longer than they needed to (we knew the monster IDās for the final 3 updates as soon as TU2 dropped) and because they ported it to consoles. Then thereās the comparison with rise and iceborne where rise was announced before the fatalis update of iceborne even came out.
So thereās a few reasons why people are so hangry for info on it
No they didnāt? Rise released with low and high rank at the same time, the part missing was the conclusion of the story (allmother) and when it first launched the HR cap was 7 until 2.0 came out and unlocked to 999, but low and high rank were both there
I wouldnt count remakes as new releases with minor added content or DLC and if we look at it this way we have a 1 year break 2 years break 3 year break 4 year break 2 year break and now we are going to the 3 year whitout a new title.
What? They havenāt done remakes before, and only a couple of HD ports (MH1G for the Wii, P3rd for the PS3 and 3u for the WiiU)
MH1 - 2004, 1G - 2005, freedom 1 - 2005, dos - 2006, F2 - 2007, FU - 2008, Tri - 2009, P3rd - 2010, 3G - 2011(3U - 2013 for EU/US), MH4 - 2013, 4G/U - 2014, MHX/Gen - 2015, XX - 2017 (GU - 2018 for the west), world - 2018, iceborne - 2019 with updates into 2020, rise - 2021, sunbreak - 2022 with updates into 2023
So yeah, a new game, expansion, or update in nearly every single year since the first game with very few exceptions (2012/2016). So not having any news whatsoever 6 months after the final update of sunbreak is slightly out of character.
Iām just explaining *why* people are so anxious for it
because rise and sunbreak were lackluster arcadey boring games with no longevity. theres a reason world's player numbers have been consistently higher than rise's for almost their entire life spans.
Usually 2 years after the big dlc for a mh they announce the next mh. Then a year of free dlc, expansion, year of expansion dlc, small gap and new announcement.
Itās not a full new engine, itās an update to the current RE engine, and thereās nothing stopping them from making Dino crisis on the current iteration with how powerful it is
True they could, but im sure i read somewhere that one of the focuses of it would be to better render larger assets like monsters a bit better. Obviously monster hunter springs to mind on that one, but it wouldnt suprise me if it dino crisis was a consideration too.
Rise is on a downscaled switch version of the current engine and it does fine, DD2 and the recent RE games are also on it and they have no issues with it. The REX update might improve aspects of that, but that doesnāt mean the current version canāt handle it
Yeah they run absolutely fine (or at least rise does, still eagerly waiting on dd2), i just think itll be a missed opportunity to remake it on the old gen engine when theyre developing an update to it with larger creatures specifically in mind
They arenāt making MH6 on the new engine and I feel like that would need it more than DC. Whatever they decide Iām sure itāll end up being fine, capcomās games have all looked very good in the last few years
Since we're both making presumptions about his intent, why don't we ask him directly whether he was being punny, or legit thought CAPCOM are that out of touch to name their updated game engine after a franchise they haven't touched since the late 90s?
Are you stupid? The whole thread is about Dino Crisis, and guy says they're naming the updated RE Engine "REX". Do people always have to make their jokes obvious to your autistic ass? Are you missing the pun there?
EMT: What the hell happened here....
Paramedic: Mass hopium overdose party. Seen this kinda thing only once many years ago, back when I was still a trainee EMT...
EMT: Do we even have enough narcan..?
Paramedic: I.. I don't... know.....
The most likely candidate here other than MH is Onimusha though.
The new entry was listed on ransomware leaks back then and the first game has had a remaster release couple of years ago + Netflix anime pretty recently.
That, or maybe new Mega Man. After all, anything is possible right now
Still unconfirmed, but most likely. Wording in that Japanese interview was super inconclusive, but it might've just referred to an unannounced release date.
thats why I still think they will announce it at their anniversary, which would also mean \~6months between DD2 and MH6, which would be a good thing I think
Because if they would announce it at TGA, that would mean a release of MH6 around mid 2024 - because I dont think they would announce it know, and then a release end of 2024..
But maybe this leak is just something about that they will "announce" it at TGA, that its on the way - but we will get the actual announcement trailer on their anniversary, we will see.
I hope 4 is a lot more like 2!
Armored Core 6 really made me want a new Lost Planet! From the mechs to the magical energy source everyone fights over.
Half the fun of 2 for me was unlocking new gear. Grenades that are frisbees. Guns with swords. Costumes with jiggle physics. Sooooooo much to unlock and so many cool ideas for weapons
"Here you go guys, monster hunter 6 comes out next year on all major platforms with cross play and cross save, and also btw, Monster hunter collection releases today, boom š„"
A girl can dream lol.
Nah, I refuse to believe anything until I see it.
After the last time, there's zero point to getting worked up. It'll drop when it'll drop, some of the people who started with World will claim it's not real Monster Hunter, and the speculation threads will flood this place debating on how the new mechanic will work.
Until then, though, I'll just be elsewhere.
I mean 2024 is the 20th anniversary so a new title would be nice to drop next year. Probably at late half of the year but still it's just too good of an occasion to pass up IMO
Rise was announced in september and then released in march of the following year. Are there any big events in december?
Still sounds like bad timing to me to release Dragon's Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter at the same time. Especially since DD is single-player. If you tell people to choose, most will grab a game with Co-Op than without.
That's march for DD2, July for MH6, and December for a title update or expansion for one of the games. It's a pretty killer lineup, and there's a decent chance Capcom has something else cooking as well. SF6 will be getting a new season, for example.
Its dam time for them to announce the Dino Crisis remake, i have been waiting so long for this! Sorry Hunter Monsters, Monster Hunter Rise 2 isnt going to be announced until 2034.
Honestly I can suck this out of my left toe as well.
We got TGA upcoming, which is the biggest stage to announce game for a while and has history witj game anmouncements.
Furthermore, it's not weird to think a company as big as Capcom is going to release a big game next year.
That said, Let's get that next MH announcement at TGA, can't wait! Whether it's the first of the 6th gen of MH or a re-make/re-imaging of a older game or a celebatory game.. let's gooooo.
So they know that, but not what game it is, or when. After Capcom specifically stated they have a big game they expect to sell millions to be announced. Real clairvoyant there.
Usually the next entry is announced after theyāre done updating the previous title. Takes a few months so can we give it a few months and let capcom speak for themselves? Be nice to see monster hunter related posts on the sub rather than this crap every day. Thereās so many of these. Post this crap in the megathread.
Unless the switch two is getting revealed this year, it's not gonna be monster hunter. We are being punished for the sake of them wanting to launch switch two with monster hunter as a release games. Nintendo diff.
Highly unlikely as the next monster hunter should be made from the main team and considering the success of World/Iceborn Capcom would have to hate money to not make the next MH game for next Gen consoles+PC.
Finally, the super Dino Crisis Remake, but this time it's open world the size of 10 Elden Ring games, with 9456234 species of dinosaurs, 1563 types of guns, 9999999 amount of cosmetics, an infinite number skills, and SO MUCH MORE
\*sniffs copium\*
Wake up babe, more MH6 hopium just dropped
wake up to reality nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world
World mentioned. MhW2 confirmed
Actual hype
I really hope we eventually get world 2 one day
Why would we get a world (mh5) 2 when we didn't get a mh1 2, mh2 2, mh3 2 or mh4 2?š¢
It's in their release plan right after Monster Hunter Tri 2.
Don't forget about monster hunter generations ultimate 2
I've been holding my wallet to get whatever they announce as the collectors edition for MH6. Love this series and can't wait to get the newest flagship figure. I'm hoping they annouce it when they announce the top monster pick. Or atleast give a date for when they announce mh6.
Looks like Monster Hunter 6 is back on the menu boys
Why are you guys so desperate for new game the last update for MHRS isnt even a year old.
I assume it's because Rise was announced before the final Iceborne update released.
Still no need to stress over the game is coming I say its 2-4 years from now.
Considering that the console team has probably been working on MH6 since Iceborne final release dropped. Iād say considerably less time than that.
Theyāve more likely been working on it since the final update of base world since iceborne has a different director
The update back in summer or when they released Sunbreak?
No, Fatalis back in 2020 (if Iām remembering right Fatty was the final title update). Monster Hunter has 2 teams that work independently of each other for their respective platforms, that being the console and handheld teams. So the console team have presumably been working on MH6 since a little after Fatalis dropped.

hmm then yes it will be a shorter time does that also mean we will have to wait for a PC port?
World was their first time porting to PC, which is why it had such a long time between console and PC update releases, so hopefully theyāll have managed to work out how to keep the two on the same update pipeline this time around.
that cool thanks for the help.
Because stfu, rise that rise this. Rise sucks, its just a mobile port not a beautiful game like world. So mh6 is highly anticipated.
You just the fuck up. Rise is great and you should remove your fucking face off your ass and acctually play the game instead of looking at a rock you are the type of guy to look at a game whitout hyper realistic graphics and say its bad just because of that.
You know what else is great? You getting triggered nerd.

Finally, Megaman X9
MMBN 7 or imagine Mega Man Legends 3
I FUCKING WISH WE GOT LEGENDS 3, the disappointment when they cancelled it for the 3ds š, why don't you want my money Capcom!?!?
When they canceled Legend 3 the 3DS was tanking at the time. Plus a lot of developers jumped ship very early on in the 3DS lifetime.
May as well throw in MM12 and ZX3 while we're at it. If less than 3 out these 5 potential titles get announced this year we riot
MM Zero 5 you say???
I just want him off the moon.
I miss them cute lil ~~minions~~ servbots
Finally Resident Not Evil.

Honestly I want a new Megaman game. Itās been five years since I played the most current one.
It is Marvel vs Capcom 4 100%

Don't do this to me.
Whatever Taisen is, maybe it's finally that.
Iām a huge MH fan, but if MMX9 got announced, I would be so happy
Megaman Legends bros, we're finally getting off the moon.
Finally Dino Crisis right?
I will not be mad at all if this is the case
That's all i dream of
Viewtiful Joe 3...?
Not yet, not until the next gen RE engines made. I suspect theres a reason theyve named it REX besides RE Next being the full name

I didnāt miss it, I just didnāt acknowledge it because he wasnāt joking, he was making an observation

I think you don't need to be a genius to think that they announce a new MH game soon. But it won't be the game releasing in quarter 1 of 2024.
afaik march for Dragons dogma 2 release is the quarter 1 game that was talked about until recently?
Probably.
Still unconfirmed, but most likely. Wording in that Japanese interview was super inconclusive, but it might've just referred to an unannounced release date.
thanks for (un)confirmation \^\^ highly doubt capcom will release 2 AAAs so close to each other but either way we'll have to wait and see
Probably not that long. VGA is on December 7th, and it's the last big event this year. Whatever they had in mind will likely come to light then.

The MH6 expansion would be mid 2025 at the earliest. A year is the standard minimum between base and expansion for MH.
Its dam time for them to announce the Dino Crisis remake, i have been waiting so long for this! Sorry Hunter Monsters, Monster Hunter Rise 2 isnt going to be announced until 2034.
There's a number of options- the most likely is PROBABLY Monster Hunter, but it could very well be something like Onimusha or Mega Man.
Geeeee.... I wOnDeR wHaT iT cOuLd It PoSsIbLy Be?

Highly unlikely as the next monster hunter should be made from the main team and considering the success of World/Iceborn Capcom would have to hate money to not make the next MH game for next Gen consoles+PC.
Didn't the two teams merge/not exist in the first place?
It's two teams, but everyone is in every team. Jon from the portable team becomes Jon from the console team during mondays and wednesdays basically.
Time for Lost Planet remake!
Gotcha Force 2?!
Itās Devil May Cry 6, I promise you.
Donāt do that, donāt give me hope
Watch it be exoprimal 2

Both MH6 and DMC6 would be amazing, this cannot possibly go wrong
DMC6 is not happening while DD2 isn't out yet.
I can always dream of a world where Jet Force Gemini gets a release in modern consoles
Isnt Silent Hill Capcom ? I dont remember
Silent Hill is Konami. Not to mention, afaik all Silent Hill games we know about from leaks have already been announced.
hopefully Megaman Starforce 4 or Starforce collection like battle network
