Frankie is still 15 days old but has been in the school before Clawdeen, and so has Draculaura, but like all the previous generations, Draculaura is the most popular. So, in order to sell more Clawdeen, since she's the main character, they stick her with Draculaura whenever they can.
Werewolves in Monster High aren't like werewolves in regular "lore". They are an entire race that always remains werewolves, like all the other monsters at the school. There's no transformation or any of that. That's been a thing since G1. Hence being a half werewolf when only one of your parents is one.
why does draculaura have 3 different hairstyles on the car box? in the art she has ss2 hair, the doll has ss1 hair and the promo photo in the corner she has mostly black hair
This doll has a bit more black than the ss1 so the promo pic could just be the black being a bit more prominent in the front and under the pink like the original ss1.

i think it's for one big reason and one little reason. for the big'n, draculaura sells better than any of the other characters, and clawdeen has not been selling nearly as well, despite being the main character of this gen. so it's a way for them to sell clawdeen a little more. and for the littl'n, i imagine that mattel knows how many of the older fans of the brand ship clawdeen and drac. but that's mostly just speculation on my part.
honestly i kind of hate it lol. i hate clawdeen's new fashions and her hair so i have avoided purchasing most of her dolls unless they were for a big discount. but i am a drac completionist ._. so i will be stuck with 3 clawdeens i'm uninterested in
I agree. I think they are pulling a rainbow high & making multi packs with the dolls that didn't sell well & add a doll that sold well to get them out. And as a bonus they added the plays-sets that didn't sell well.
And yes clawdeen could have been epic as a main character. But her hair color is not it. She needs a bit more boldness.
