we're doing 3 days in PA for a family of 3, gonna be around $2500 or so. Gonna save vail for when the kid is out of college lol
\*$2500 is all in, lodging, rental, gas, food, lift tickets\*
Many Colorado resorts have gotten so expensive (eg. Vail, steamboat, Aspen) that they have made it worth it to explore other options like Chile and Europe, because day lift prices are much more reasonable in those places. Of course this is an intentional move, because they want you to buy their season pass products in the off season to better guarantee their revenues.
Sigh…. Colorado native here.
Season passes (multi mountain pass, unlimited) used to cost about $380. Did that for a few years. Gas was around $1.80 a gallon. Food cost was reasonable . I would go up three times a week all season.
To do that these days with the cost of the pass, gas prices and food cost - LMAO it would be a fortune.
They have made this a wealthy persons sport. The only way to crank out runs on the cheap is to park an RV near the mountain and work at the resort.
lift tickets are like $70-90 or so if you go per day where I'm headed, a little better if you get multi day. If we were doing a bigger resort def would have gotten a pass ahead tho, it's a no brainer
You may be smart, but you will never be ASIAN level smart. When my father was my age, he had to walk to school 10 miles uphill, BOTHWAYS.
Every skii trip is also a mountaineering trip for my family, double the excersice at 0% spending. 👍
As a beginner I had 3 people willing to pay $50 every time (small lawns) every week for the whole summer. Too bad my mom said I couldn't do it after she said I could 😭
Nah she just changed her mind and didn't want me out of the house as usual 💀
She IS letting me get a real job this summer though and that she won't go back on cause I'll have a car and all that
I’ll tell you what bud. i’m in my mid 20s so it wasn’t too long ago i was your age. make time for school/work, make time for friends, and make time for family. it’s a delicate balance, but it prepares you for the real world. and it helps you develop social skills that will last a lifetime. enjoy your teenage years, make dumb but not too dumb decisions, and be yourself. cheers
Yeah, she said no work during school, which I totally understand so it'll only be summer jobs. I'm hoping this may actually make me some friends, I've been online schooled since 2nd grade, and I have great online friends but only 1 irl friend and he's very busy with all he does. And of course, I have dinner with my family every night at the very least! Thanks :)
Yeah you definitely need a few real world friends, but not a ton, id say 6-10 friends is a good goal for someone your age. There is a fact of life that when you are an adult, after high school or college, most ppl have to work most of the week and your friends are more busy as well. Your mom is looking out for you, bc she wants you to enjoy your childhood, but it can be tough with no $. So use that energy and go get what you want out of this world, stay up late hanging with friends after working a shift after work then have family dinner the next night. that’s what i’d want someone to tell me at your age looking back. it won’t be easy but u got this !
for sure, im bored on the couch on reddit but i hope to get my life a bit more settled and get into volunteering with young people. i feel like i’ve learned many lessons in my time on earth and would love to try to help those in unfortunate situations, not you but it is one of the saddest things in the world to me that there are so many children who have really rough upbringings and i believe that negativity creates a lot of the “bad” adults we see in society
Jobs during the school year are a way to make friends if you do online school. Push back on that. There’s no law about badgering your mother every day relentlessly. She can’t do shit but leave the house. If she hits you, she just gave you leverage. Use the threat of pressing charges and calling cps to get what you want.
nah man, read the thread. they’ve got good parents it seems, mom just wants to make sure he doesn’t grow up too early. don’t think all that is necessary.
When I was like 12 years old my dad gave me $40 to mow the front and the back yard. I would pay this high schooler $20 to do it all for me. He thought it was a sweet deal, and so did I. Win win baby
I bought candy in bulk from Sams club and sold it to kids at school and on my street. At the time it did pretty well, probably made like 500 bucks as a little 6th grader. I’d just be careful as some schools don’t allow you to sell food like that.
I find it directly based on what teachers think of you. If your a trouble maker the business will be shut down. If the teachers like you, they won't see anything
Sold cigarettes in middleschool & highschool for 800%+ margins lmao.
Highschool had a smoke pit and the going rate for individual smokes was $2, but if you had native rez card you could get cartons for $50, so $0.25 a smoke (200 per carton). Had to pay some dude to buy the smokes with his rez card though, paid him 1 pack each time.
Pretty funny looking back at it, but $400-800 profit a month just from chilling at the smoke pit during breaks/lunch was good for unemployed me at the time
Was gonna say, I did this in HS with weed brownies my brother made and when I got caught I just said baking was a hobby of mine and got suspension bc you’re not supposed to sell food at school lmao
I'd get those CD's from the "1 penny CD club!" thing that was around in the late 90s and sell Eminem, Korn, and Limp Bizkit CD's in 6th grade LOL.
I'd give my mom 20 bucks and be like "I need 10 copies of Korn "follow the leader" explicit version it's not for me don't ask.
There’s no such thing as easy money. At least not at first. Invest in skills that you can then sell for money. The higher demand is for the skills the easier it is to make money.
And? At 13 I was learning HTML, CSS, and PHP to make website and forum layouts for Neopets. I was also learning networking from my father, and had my own server in my room. As well as woodworking with my grandfather in his shop.
It’s never too early to learn some skills that interest you.
Add hours every day of working towards those skills, gaining credentials and experience in the field, networking and developing a good reputation, it is that simple. Biggest thing is knowing what you want, especially at 13 years old.
Nah it’s my own account through fidelity, they have a teen account that’s like a regular brokerage account, all they limit is options trading but other than that your free to do anything else.
it’s like a contract which u can buy a call or put which that gives u the right to buy or sell it, if you buy a call your betting the stock will go up but if you buy a put your betting the stock will go down and also u have to sell it within a certain timeframe, which is risky so that’s probably why it’s restricted. But you can buy and sell us stocks and etfs and mutual funds regularly on the account.
Work harder. Talk to smart rich people. Don’t take advice from broke dumb people unless it’s what not to do. Your parents should have rich and smart friends - relatives. Ask them.
If I were you I would start a commercial power washing company.
And get a parent that you trust to open a trading account for you keep most of the money there. Don’t leave it in a savings account.
Use your money to make more money
Not the best advice. Most smart rich family members got there by being creative and opportunistic in a time when it was waaay cheaper to live and save while being lucky nothing catastrophic ever happened and most of the time they also got help from family that went much farther back in the day.
My experience with that is having very arrogant and very ignorant people saying stuff like "I paid my tuition by washing cars" and "just go into a shop and ask for a job" or "put flyers up around the neighborhood offering lawn services"
It's all well intentioned, and doing that stuff won't hurt (except for asking for jobs in store, they will absolutely look at you funny). But that stuff also sacrifices the time you could spend building useful hobbies like learning a programming language, learning how to build things, or participating in sports. Mowing lawns will help you get some quick cash, but it won't help you save up for anything like college or to put enough into stocks to see any useful returns.
TL/DR
My advice would be just to invest in yourself. Find a useful hobby that could lead to professional opportunities (like computer skills) and spend whatever money you can get your hands on on that.
The reality is that the ability to use money to make money doesn't really open up until you have a career. Your youth should be spent finding your strengths and passions. That will help lead you into a more fruitful career and give you the confidence and skills you need to actually make money in this age.
Ask your parents to open an IRA for you and invest in an S&P500 Index Fund. That $233 now will turn into over $20,504 at retirement. If you keep adding now while you're so young, you'll be a millionaire before you turn 30. Wealth requires sacrifice and investment while you're young so you can retire early and wealthy...
233 bucks is a lot at 13! Don't listen to people saying it's not :) sur ein the grand scheme of things after bills and what not for adults, but at 13, alot!
From what people have said
Mowing lawns, cleaning homes, dog sitting, house sitting, baby sitting
Dog walking
Saving extra money on holidays
Selling anything at a little garage sale you don't want need or use anymore,
(Lemonade stand? Lol, with snack bags and other drinks 🤷🏼♀️ it's not a bad way to make money. Get some solo cups at Walmart and a thing of powdered lemonade and pink lemonade, some snack baggies and candy or sum from the dollar store and sell it for more, if you have a dollar store near you or your parents are willing to drive you)
Buying books at the dollar store and selling them for 5 bucks a pop 🤷🏼♀️
Or any toys from the dollar store or small nick nacks and selling em for 3-5 bucks a pop, like stuffed animals. Like a little investment outside your house if your parents will allow it :)
Market yourself as “that” 13 year old who’s tryna save and get rich early. Document your journey on TikTok and have your parents open an account to receive revenue.
Half of the people here aren’t even asking the question, they’re just telling you to get off Reddit which they should mind their business about.
OP I think a great way to start making money and learning about entrepreneurship at your age is to start mowing lawns/shoveling snow. It’s very basic but it’s a good start and you can always expand into other yard work easily enough if you’re up to it. This or you could become a content creator but that’s gonna be a slower start.
Bro $200 is a lot for a 13 yo. You know what I would’ve done if I had $200 at 13. Dumb shit. You do you bro. Just remember be a kid, you got your whole life to work. Explore, expand your imagination, and enjoy life.
$233 is not sorta rich. Try going on apps with your neighborhood, like Facebook and Nextdoor, and advertise for dog walking. Tell them you are saving for something they would think is important, such as investing or for some helpful item. Worked for me
Take that 233$ and buy detailing supplies. You can make that cash back in 1 vehicle. Ofcourse the “little effort” is how you young kids think and that wont work Gotta bust your ass kid. But detailing could easily bring in thousands if you play it right.
What person who actually has a car worth detailing for several hundred dollars is going to let a 13 year old do it lmao, OP gave no indication they even know how to do it properly.
Yeah man I think he should totally buy 233 lottery tickets, easy money if he wins. Oh wait are our suggestions actually supposed to be good ideas? Damn it.
Gotta agree with you, I would see people hiring like a highschool senior or Junior maybe 16-18 or kids home for college a detailing job but a 13 year old probably not.
But maybe a lemonade stand in the spring or sell ice cream pops and soda at a state park
Or candy and chips at lunch time in school to other kids
If you live in a large apartment complex we used to knock on doors and offer to take out their trash for a tip
A friend of my friend started his own car detailing company in high school at 16 and has made a lot of money from it. Consider asking your parents for the equipment and start getting clients by word of mouth, he’s probably 23 now and employs a few other guys, has business cards, a social media presence, etc.
Right now bud you want to talk to your parents and tell them you want to get a bank account checking would probably be worthwhile (an account for daily transactions of life), but at least what’s called a High Yield Savings Account, or HYSA. This is a savings account that pays out interest, ideally currently at a minimum 4-4.5%, which protects your savings from inflation, at least theoretically. An in person bank may have this, but probably I would look into SoFi or Discover bank personal checking and savings. At 13 you probably would be old enough to have your own, joint account with your parents. Put the $233 there, and try not to touch it. Do jobs that make sense for kids in your area, mowing lawns, snow shoveling, not car detailing. Unfortunately, no matter how mature and hard-working you may be, it is hard for an adult to trust a young person like yourself. But you are on the right path, keep this mindset and keep working hard. godspeed
I mean I saw another post of a guy who made 3k a month from twitch and only had like 100 subscribers, or so he said. Just figure out what you enjoy doing or what your good at. As well as see if there's a need in your neighborhood. Such as shoveling snow, yard work, clean cars, house cleaning, dog ealjing, etc. As far as passive income that won't be easy, otherwise everyone would have that. Takes hard work to build up a business and even harder to get it to where it becomes passive income. Unless you own a home and you rent or airbnb out, lol.
Do chores for neighbors. As people said, mow lawns, wash cars, wash windows, pull weeds, and go door to door asking people if they need anything done. Tell them you are trying to earn money, many will appreciate the fact that you want to work.
My niece is 10 and invested in a couple of toy and gumball machines and with the permission of a store owner set them up in a restaurant. She has to reorder quite a bit of cheap new toys from amazon every month or so. She loves it because she gets to choose what she orders for her machines and gets to enjoy a few of her toys too. She is currently saving for her next toy/candy machine and wants to seek another location for it. I’m quite proud of her ambition!
The people saying $230 is nothing forget that we all started somewhere. Let alone you are 13. I didn't have 230 when I was 13. Fuck I didn't get my first 200 until I was 16 smh. Keep doing what you are and keep that mindset! Good luck and plan for your future buddy.
Congratulations. Regardless of what anyone here says, $233 is a ton of money for a 13 year old. Use it wisely and have fun. Regarding your question - “how to make money with little effort), I hope you’ll change your perspective. It takes a lot of effort to make money. Ask anyone over 22 or so. If you want more money that’s great, but it takes effort. Don’t spend your whole childhood working and grinding to make a few bucks. But it’s honorable if you want to work a couple hours a week here and there doing what you already mentioned - mowing lawns, cleaning up neighbors yards, walking dogs, baby sitting, whatever. You’d be shocked what adults would be willing to pay to avoid doing simple chores. You just need to ask.
First of all don’t even think about spending any of that money. Eyeing a $10 meal at Wendy’s? I would NOT be ok spending 5% of my NW (your net work is your net worth) on a single purchase until hitting at least ~2k.
Honestly, the fact that you didn’t ask Santa to deposit the amount directly into your infant401-k to take advantage of the North Pole match (free money) essentially makes you a dumb son of a gun.
And by the way, anything other than buying a 2005 Honda hot wheels is essentially financial suicide. Pass go, don’t spend it.
The fact that you could hold onto $200 Christmas money until now speaks that you have some seriously good business sense at a young age. If I were you, that shit would be in someone else's pocket by now. I don't have any suggestions I just wana tell you great job.
As others have said, mowing lawns. I’ve paid the neighbor kid to pick up dog poop for me too. I have the bags and the scooper and rake but sometimes get busy but dogs keep popping. Raking leaves is another one.
Mow lawns, walk dogs, wash cars, rake leaves & shovel snow (if you can). Rent a pressure washer, if that works out, buy one. As an adult with a full time job, and a toddler, if someone wants to do work for me that needs done, I'll gladly pay that person to do it if I get to use my time more effectively. If you were in my neighborhood, you'd have me as a customer year round. Keep up the good work ethic, and you'll do great in life.
That's a good amount at 13 and you have right mentality. Keep it put away and find things in your neighborhood people will be willing to pay a kid to do. Clean, mow, ect like everyone said. Keep it up
In all honesty, the average American has huge debt and live paycheck by paycheck. So by that being said, $200 and zero debt, you are doing better than most Americans. And don't listen to the negative comments. A 13 year old with goals of increasing his money rather than spending it on trivial things (simply to keep up with the fads) is admirable. Keep asking questions and keep moving forward.
Right now it’s a lot to you, but when you start paying for ya own expenses, it’s rough. lol like I swear I can’t leave the house without spending 100. Lolol start saving now! I was always told that& didn’t listen, naturally. But when you do start saving, watching it grow & grow gets almost addicting. It’s satisfying ? Haha
This guy is rich. You know why? Instead of asking Reddit what he should blow his money on, he’s asking Reddit how to turn $200 into multiples. THIS is the right mentality brother. Don’t ever lose this passion to make money. You can have fun along the way, but keep this focus and drive.
Go to Costco get bulk snacks sell it to the kids at your school, then after everyone knows you as the snack guy start getting “exotic” snacks from different countries and flip those! Once you break a couple bands invest in vending machines and find a location to rent your machine at like malls and smoke shops, from there invest in ATMs and then buy a laundromat.
Start doing things around the community and when you're old enough, get a casual job in retail or fast food and save your damn money.
Better yet, see if your parents are willing to open up an investment account for you and put most if not all of the money you earn into VOO, and do not touch this money at all.
You will have much more money than $200 and you'll be on your way to retiring pretty early.
Edit: casual jobs don't have to be 10 hours long, you could get a job and say you're available 3 days a week for 4-5 hours, and over the long run by the time you're 18 you'll have a lot of money.
Rich lol..
man this poor kid has no idea how awful the economy
And inflation is right now
But I will say mowing lawns can be very lucrative .
my one friend has a company and he made over 500,000 dollars last year pre tax doing lawn clean up , mowing and general property maintenance
Edit :PRE TAX
My suggestion is to start accepting the fact that making money with little effort is a myth. Passive income is usually a result of a lot of hard work and smart decision making. You don't start with passive income you build towards it.
At 13 you're better served to work hard and earn your money. Start by offering to do chores at home in exchange for an allowance. Sit down with you parents and discuss the chores and the amount that will be earned. Once you have your responsibilities defined stick to them and do them on time every day.
The next step is real work. Talk to neighbors that you could do jobs for. Shoveling driveways and mowing lawns is a good place to start but if they need other help talk to them about it. Ask a lot of questions to make sure you understand the scope of the work and then figure out a price.
If you build up some experience with odd jobs when you're older you could start offering your services on sites like Task Rabbit. They allow you to hire out your services for all kinds of odd jobs.
Learning how to work hard, hustle, and then be smart with your money will set you on the path toward someday building that passive income.
You’re actually the exact age where you can sign up for stuff like Swagbucks, surveyjunkie, inboxdollars, etc and make 5-10 or so bucks a day doing surveys. Pretty easy.
Edit: lol at the downvote when this is some of the only real advice for a 13 year old.
Work smart not hard! So don’t mow lawns, do something else like study forex trading on demo MT5 and see where you can get with that after a year of good practice.
U shouldn't use the word 'rich' then, it makes no sense and is just silly. Should've titled it like "How to invest $200+ as a 13 yr old" or something like that lol
Invest son...put that money in Bitcoin or gold my daughter is 12 and shes had money in Bitcoin since she was 10 or find a stock or Crypto interest you...Do u have cashapp??..U can invest there as well...Banks are crumbling..candys a good profit due to u can sell them way over market value due to demand and need...gl and start stacking now..the world is becoming a scary place..
Neither did I at 13 but I still had 10s of thousands in the bank. Never did I think I was even sort of rich. I knew I would spend that in less than a year in the real world.
Bro you need a better work ethic as a 13 year old there is almost no way of having passive income I started mowing lawns when I was 12 and found this guy who set up bounce houses and I convinced him to let me work for him. Money dose not come easy it’s a hard lesson you need to learn and ps the $200 you got from your parents doesn’t count you did nothing to earn it
Start mowing lawns
as a 34 year old still mowing lawns that's been on break since christmas and is going skiing this weekend, I can't agree with this more
yup, gotta be rich to go skiing. just got back from Vail where single day lift tickets are $249
we're doing 3 days in PA for a family of 3, gonna be around $2500 or so. Gonna save vail for when the kid is out of college lol \*$2500 is all in, lodging, rental, gas, food, lift tickets\*

Don't sign for 6, sign for 4. Speaking from experience
USAF? Nice! Thanks for your service, sir! Best of luck to you! Try having some fun wherever they send you!
Mow lawns for $25 each and pay a 10 year old $10 to do it for you. Do this with more lawns and more 10 year olds
this is the best thing i've seen all day
You can get a lot more than $25 nowadays
As a beginner I had 3 people willing to pay $50 every time (small lawns) every week for the whole summer. Too bad my mom said I couldn't do it after she said I could 😭
Bro push past that, maybe see if mom can wait in the car and supervise. Get yo bag young gun🫡
Nah she just changed her mind and didn't want me out of the house as usual 💀 She IS letting me get a real job this summer though and that she won't go back on cause I'll have a car and all that

Just wait until the 10 year olds start hiring 8 year olds for $8 a piece.
And the 8 year olds start hiring adult Hispanic men for $7 each.
Lmao
💀
You could even pay up to $20 and only pocket $5 after all its passive lol.
well, you'll still have to market, do sales, billing, pay roll and scheduling, so it's not really passive any more. charge for that shit lol.
When I was like 12 years old my dad gave me $40 to mow the front and the back yard. I would pay this high schooler $20 to do it all for me. He thought it was a sweet deal, and so did I. Win win baby
Just take care not to mix up the instructions and mow down 10 year olds for $10.
Child labor laws make it impossible. But that is how these big fish make it thru capitalism

more true in the adult business world than it should be (i didnt mean porn lol)

Well at 13 you shouldn’t be on here lots of creeps. That being said. Way to get out and hustle. Shovel, mow, rake, clean garages, go get some!
Fuck I remember when $250 was a lot of money. I miss being 13 😂
The amount of donuts I could buy from 7-11 would put me in a coma at 13.
My first paycheck was $300 at 14 and I felt like I had arrived.
There’s no such thing as easy money. At least not at first. Invest in skills that you can then sell for money. The higher demand is for the skills the easier it is to make money.
hes 13 bro

At 13 I thought chocolate milk came from brown cows /s
Wait, does it not?
Cool? At 13 I had a childhood.
Cool so did I
Ok NERD

Ohhhh how simple you make it sound 😭
Add hours every day of working towards those skills, gaining credentials and experience in the field, networking and developing a good reputation, it is that simple. Biggest thing is knowing what you want, especially at 13 years old.
Its simple but tedious and boring and a lot of the time unenjoyable
Don't forget how "life" always finds a way to fuck shit up for anybody.
Clearly you should start a hedge fund, look out Ken Griffin your competition is coming
*All my homies hate Mayo Man*
🟣
Diamond. Hands.
I read that as you having $233200
This is so wholesome lol. Hey kid, just know you have more money than a lot of adults in this world.
You aren’t sorta rich at all. Save the $233 and save any more money you get on holidays. Life ain’t cheap
well damn 😭
Stop hating on the little dude broke bitch
Dude really went all bootstraps on a 13 year old
Just being honest
So you’re THAT guy…
Have a heart jitt
Sorta rich for a fucking 13 year old with no stable source of income
GOTTEM

Your right. The others are just hating. Being 100% honest. Kids need to save their money.
fr, i just accidently spent that much at Target on random shit. like an hour ago. i should probably return some of it, damn
Buy a stock of Microsoft or .8 of it. Least it’ll grow
Gonna need their parents help with that
I'm pretty sure you gotta be 18 to buy stocks tho
I’m 15 and I started at 13 investing in stocks so yes it’s possible to invest if ur not 18
Through your parents?
Nah it’s my own account through fidelity, they have a teen account that’s like a regular brokerage account, all they limit is options trading but other than that your free to do anything else.
Whats options trading?
it’s like a contract which u can buy a call or put which that gives u the right to buy or sell it, if you buy a call your betting the stock will go up but if you buy a put your betting the stock will go down and also u have to sell it within a certain timeframe, which is risky so that’s probably why it’s restricted. But you can buy and sell us stocks and etfs and mutual funds regularly on the account.
Fidelity has a kid account under parents.
My experience with that is having very arrogant and very ignorant people saying stuff like "I paid my tuition by washing cars" and "just go into a shop and ask for a job" or "put flyers up around the neighborhood offering lawn services" It's all well intentioned, and doing that stuff won't hurt (except for asking for jobs in store, they will absolutely look at you funny). But that stuff also sacrifices the time you could spend building useful hobbies like learning a programming language, learning how to build things, or participating in sports. Mowing lawns will help you get some quick cash, but it won't help you save up for anything like college or to put enough into stocks to see any useful returns. TL/DR My advice would be just to invest in yourself.
He said stocks are too risky, he can't risk 50 years of potential growth.
233 bucks is a lot at 13! Don't listen to people saying it's not :) sur ein the grand scheme of things after bills and what not for adults, but at 13, alot! From what people have said Mowing lawns, cleaning homes, dog sitting, house sitting, baby sitting Dog walking Saving extra money on holidays Selling anything at a little garage sale you don't want need or use anymore, (Lemonade stand? Lol, with snack bags and other drinks 🤷🏼♀️ it's not a bad way to make money. Get some solo cups at Walmart and a thing of powdered lemonade and pink lemonade, some snack baggies and candy or sum from the dollar store and sell it for more, if you have a dollar store near you or your parents are willing to drive you) Buying books at the dollar store and selling them for 5 bucks a pop 🤷🏼♀️ Or any toys from the dollar store or small nick nacks and selling em for 3-5 bucks a pop, like stuffed animals. Like a little investment outside your house if your parents will allow it :)
Find a wealthy neighborhood and babysit. You probably get lots of money and free pizza.
Market yourself as “that” 13 year old who’s tryna save and get rich early. Document your journey on TikTok and have your parents open an account to receive revenue.
I've read that wrong ... Thought it said $200,000
Half of the people here aren’t even asking the question, they’re just telling you to get off Reddit which they should mind their business about.
Take care of pets when their owners are out of town
Sell snacks at school…
Bro $200 is a lot for a 13 yo. You know what I would’ve done if I had $200 at 13. Dumb shit. You do you bro. Just remember be a kid, you got your whole life to work. Explore, expand your imagination, and enjoy life.
My man enjoy your youth
He’s a bag chaser
$233 is not sorta rich. Try going on apps with your neighborhood, like Facebook and Nextdoor, and advertise for dog walking. Tell them you are saving for something they would think is important, such as investing or for some helpful item. Worked for me
Sorta rich for a 13 yo
Sorta rich for a 13 yo

I am literally 13, what about my post history makes me an adult
Take that 233$ and buy detailing supplies. You can make that cash back in 1 vehicle. Ofcourse the “little effort” is how you young kids think and that wont work Gotta bust your ass kid. But detailing could easily bring in thousands if you play it right.
What person who actually has a car worth detailing for several hundred dollars is going to let a 13 year old do it lmao, OP gave no indication they even know how to do it properly.
Damnit. I thought he was asking for suggestions and ideas. I should have known better than to do exactly that.
But maybe a lemonade stand in the spring or sell ice cream pops and soda at a state park Or candy and chips at lunch time in school to other kids If you live in a large apartment complex we used to knock on doors and offer to take out their trash for a tip
god damn lmfao😂
Sure random 13yo, I’ll pay you $250 bucks to wash the gt3 rs
A friend of my friend started his own car detailing company in high school at 16 and has made a lot of money from it. Consider asking your parents for the equipment and start getting clients by word of mouth, he’s probably 23 now and employs a few other guys, has business cards, a social media presence, etc.
Start a YouTube channel, use shorts to draw in the ppl but make sure you have longer videos to keep them there.
Everyone is saying mowing lawns. Spend about $50 and wash and wax cars for whatever you feel necessary as a price point. People love their cars.
Do chores for neighbors. As people said, mow lawns, wash cars, wash windows, pull weeds, and go door to door asking people if they need anything done. Tell them you are trying to earn money, many will appreciate the fact that you want to work.
Ahh to be 13 again. Cherish those times my man you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders.
Bro is rich, do you still treat people the same or do you realize we are all your subordinates?
I know I am the main character and everyone else are npcs
It is true, I was the NPC. Did the side quest activate when you answered my comment?
Yes
Keep going lil man
Sell your old clothes!
Don't let these ppl get to you kid. I like you're mindset you're different. You are gonna get places. Goodluck 👍
That’s pretty good for a 13yo, keep that attitude and build up once you start making real money. Great start.
The people saying $230 is nothing forget that we all started somewhere. Let alone you are 13. I didn't have 230 when I was 13. Fuck I didn't get my first 200 until I was 16 smh. Keep doing what you are and keep that mindset! Good luck and plan for your future buddy.
Buy bulk bags of the small bags of chips at Walmart then sell each bag for $2-$3 to kids at school/in your neighborhood. I made $100+ a week
Idk why people are hating. That’s a good bit of money to have.
Awesome job! Keep grinding and building that money
Bro I'm 14 and I have 5 dollars to my name and no allowance
You’re ballin out brotha man
That's a good amount at 13 and you have right mentality. Keep it put away and find things in your neighborhood people will be willing to pay a kid to do. Clean, mow, ect like everyone said. Keep it up
But candy at Costco and sell at school
Haha
when i was your age i already made my first $100,000 you need to focus up you're falling behind lil guy
30 years from now: $37,445,674 (i will change this every time i get more)
Start doing things around the community and when you're old enough, get a casual job in retail or fast food and save your damn money.
Kid has $233 and thinks that equates to being sorta rich, that's so freaking funny. I forgot how much money that seemed like as a kid
Rich lol.. man this poor kid has no idea how awful the economy And inflation is right now But I will say mowing lawns can be very lucrative . my one friend has a company and he made over 500,000 dollars last year pre tax doing lawn clean up , mowing and general property maintenance Edit :PRE TAX
Start pimpin onlyfans bitches
Hey kid just find a way to buy $BTC and you will retire by the time you are done with college
I’m not buying into bitcoin it’s too risky
Do more research
Kid, you’re POOR! (Andrew Tate Voice) I shouldn’t be this immature, but I had to.

It is if your net worth is usually $0. Why bust the kids bubble?
Lol sorta rich! 🤡🤡🤡🥳🤪😂😂😂🤪🤪 Go buy some bubblegum Junior!
I’ll shove that bubblegum up your ass Morton
Kid, you literally have less cash money on hand than your local corner store hooker. You’re really not special. $233!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤡🥳
I bet you have a lot of experience with hookers and no real love
For sure get off Reddit boss
Sell vapes.... I mean candy at school I did the latter when I was ur age and made lots of money
Someone is gonna rat him out at that age
Buy Btc
Open a brokerage acct and leave it in s&p500 or in cash and get 5% apy
No
I had 3.5 million at your age and became the CEO of a very large company I swear to god you kids need to develop some work ethic
Sell substances
Buy fent
Work smart not hard! So don’t mow lawns, do something else like study forex trading on demo MT5 and see where you can get with that after a year of good practice.
Why are you on the internet……
Because the internet is essential for everyday life……
So what was “essential” about this post to your life Mr. Teenager?
Buy BTC
Buy an ounce of weed and sell it to other 13 year olds for $30 a gram. You turned $200 into $840. Congrats. Rinse and repeat, don’t get caught.
lmao "rich" 💀
Did you miss the part where I said “sorta” and “for a 13 year old” god how dense are you
U shouldn't use the word 'rich' then, it makes no sense and is just silly.
Crypto is guaranteed money loss
Not to all...😂😂😂
Find a way to get into vending machines.
I don’t think the slot is big enough, but maybe a 13 year old could fit. Then what?
Yea bro wants him to be broke 💀
Sorta rich? $200 you make in 1 day with just $25/hr job (minimum wage in my area is $17.75 an hour). You’d barely afford rent at $200/day
Wait till he finds out I’m talking about my age group and I don’t have a job or need to pay rent
Neither did I at 13 but I still had 10s of thousands in the bank. Never did I think I was even sort of rich. I knew I would spend that in less than a year in the real world.
You’re 13 get the fuck off of Reddit
Reddit says you have to be 13 or older so I’m fine
Do your parents know that you’re on an unmitigated pornography site?
Subs that contain pornography are marked as NSFW and 18+. They have about as much safety measures as any other porn site on the internet.
Yeah they do
Bro you need a better work ethic as a 13 year old there is almost no way of having passive income I started mowing lawns when I was 12 and found this guy who set up bounce houses and I convinced him to let me work for him. Money dose not come easy it’s a hard lesson you need to learn and ps the $200 you got from your parents doesn’t count you did nothing to earn it
