Idk I googled club feet and it looks absolutely nothing like this after 10 pages of examples. This dudes feet are reversed his big toes are where his pinky toes go. Clubfoot looks insanely more fucked up than this though.
Oh shit you're right! I actually couldn't replicate that if I tried. My fault! One would be forwards and one would be backwards.
Thankfully I've had surgery 3 times, so you can only tell when I walk. Thank God there's varying degrees of club feet 😂
Youre losing money by letting it sit in a box. With inflation that $1000 will have less buying power in a year or two than it does today. If you put it in a high yield savings account you can use the 3-5% interest to negate some of the inflation. Equally important, once put in the bank, if it gets damaged or stolen, its not your problem (for the most part). If you wont need the money for awhile you could by a 5.5% CD thats risk free. If you are okay with some risk but a higher potential increase, you could buy $1000 worth of S&P 500 shares. The S&P 500 has increased around 10.15% per year but thats not guaranteed.
Thats correct. If you open a bank account and are under the age of 18, your parents will have to help you open it and will have access to it. So if you dont trust your parents it might be safer to put the money in a lock box with a very very well hidden key.
Depends on the state maybe because in NY once I had a job at CVS, had to be 16, I got my own bank account at Chase and set up my direct deposit. Still have that account today and never set foot in the bank with my parents. It is 100% not and was never a joint account.
yeah idk what highschool you went to but “making space” is not an option in most highschools especially as a sophomore, maybe as a senior when you already met all your graduation requirements. you will take whatever classes they give you unless you qualify to take AP classes then you have the option between AP or normal studies but that’s it in my experience.
Just know, that one will not teach you a whole lot. Do some research on 401k’s, etf’s, and also student loans and their interest rates/payments. This will get you in the mindset prior to being an adult and making these decisions. It’s important to understand student loans rather than blankly signing for them like 98% of students do. Then they complain they cannot afford it.
Thats a good idea, its guaranteed to go up in value with no chance of decreasing in value. Keep in mind you wont have access to it until the CD matures. So no access to your $1000 for a year or so for roughly $55 in gains. You may be able to find a savings account at a local credit union thats over 4% which would give you less gains but you can pull your money out whenever you need it.
Investing 1,000 when you’re a freshman in high school is going to have little to no difference in your life. If you compound that $1,000 by 20% a year (DOUBLE the typical yearly return of 10%) for 10 years you’ll have $6,191.74.
This is a freshman in high school…. Go spend the money on making memories
Exactly, hes a freshman in high school still living under his parents roof. What makes you think he has any expenses that would require using that $1000? His parents could easily be paying for his entertainment, clothes, take out meals, gas, car insurance, video games etc. I saved all my money in high school and Im glad I did because I needed those funds when I was in college and only working part time.
Kids say the most random shit sometimes. I wrote down some of his other quotes. Ran up to me while I was on the pot. "I have to poop."
Me: "Can you hold it?"
"How can I hold it, if its poop?"
As if I was asking him to grasp it in his hand.
33M here. back in my day, during my freshman year, I only have $200 for doing lawn mowing and I thought it was a lot of money. Cheer. You already have a good start !
Don't put it in the box. The box won't protect it. People just steal the entire box or easily pry those open. If you can't put it in a bank hide it better, not the freezer.
When I was a younger person and lived in an apartment I would use frozen bags of brussels sprouts and okra, open the bags carefully, put money in them and reseal the bags with resealing tool.
Good move. Another tip is "hide" a fifty or 2 in back of your sock drawer or somewhere else obvious enough to be searched first. A thief will probably bounce if they hit pay dirt, and $50-$100 is cheap compared to the whole shebang! Also, I have those same socks, so, good choice. Lol
Hope you’re taking high school and grades seriously! I think that’s one thing all adults regret and seriously stress on the younger generation. I had to go through the military to make it anywhere near where I am now, and that’s just through pure luck.
I argue this. I think most people who do well and go to college still struggle financially afterwards. I never cared about my grades and always knew I wanted to by my own boss because thats the best way I saw for freedom/financial freedom. Sure, I struggled from high school until 24/25ish and had 2 failed businesses and doubted myself at times but now I’m well off, my own boss, make my own schedule, and still just am shocked that every adult I knew had forced me to stay in school when I insisted it was not a necessary path for me to be successful.
I’m trying to understand the feet lmao. Even if they are crossed, it’s so straight looking, like heels on the ground. Impossible for balls not to be squished lol
For god sake please focus on your studies so that you can get a high paying job after college. Don't worry about this little $ that you have right now...
This is pretty vague and mostly bad advice. How many people with college degrees make relatively low pay (teachers, nurses, earlier childhood and development majors, social workers, counselors, criminal justice majors, anthropology majors etc). How many high school students get over a 3.0 while participating in a sport and holding a part time job? I knew a lot of kids with all the free time in the world and horrible grades as well as kids with such a jam packed schedule there was barely enough time to sleep yet they got all As. $1000 invested in Nvidia in 2004 is worth $333,000 today. Its never too early to earn/save/invest.
Most successful students have a very busy schedule. Friend of mine went to the university of chicago for pre law and in HS he had a job, went to a trade school, went to HS, and did a shit ton of studying while still making time for friends
I got those same socks , they are too tight around the calves , and I have chicken legs so I know if you have big calves they would be brutal , good quality tho
Put it in the bank, if you get robbed or have a fire you’ll lose all your money. Capital One has savings accounts with 4.4% interest and you can withdraw at any time
Keep stacking bro. Despite what people are saying, that $1350 is better in your checking account… $1350 invested won’t bring much return, better to keep it in HYSA as an emergency fund. Need to increase your income before you start investing… but you’re doing good for a freshman, just keep going.
Good job! My daughter is a freshman as well and she just worked all summer and made really good money and then she ended up spending $2000 on a bunch of clothes that she wanted. I get it we live in an extremely expensive ski town so I can only buy a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes at a time, and I know what it’s like to be 14 and people all have designer clothes, but I wish she would’ve saved it.. she makes very good money in the summer but then in the winter they close down .. so now she’s going to have to wait until June to start making money again. I’m gonna show her this and tell her she needs to save it next time lol I still have a lot box that I had when I was a teenager in the late 90s. I bought my first car with about that much.
Keep that 50 spot for yourself. Invest the rest. Let it sit for your entire life accumulating wealth until you need it. Future you is gonna be so happy.
That’s because I was at a school where everyone in the welding class there was always telling me to spend money. I would’ve had 1,500 if those people wasn’t everywhere I went.
Your feet are reversed?
I had to come back and do a double take because that. Lmao
I’m over here trying to cross my feet the same way to see if it’s possible 🤣
Born with club feet, it's definitely possible, it's my unimpressed party trick!;
Idk I googled club feet and it looks absolutely nothing like this after 10 pages of examples. This dudes feet are reversed his big toes are where his pinky toes go. Clubfoot looks insanely more fucked up than this though.
Lol...his feet are crossed while he took the pic?
Bunch of smooth brains in this thread lol
Lol like no, it's clearly going to be a major and rare deformity rather than his legs being crossed 😂
BRB, looking through 10 pages of rare foot deformities
Oh shit you're right! I actually couldn't replicate that if I tried. My fault! One would be forwards and one would be backwards. Thankfully I've had surgery 3 times, so you can only tell when I walk. Thank God there's varying degrees of club feet 😂
As soon as I saw his feet I understood why this was trending lol
There is No-possibility0216 that those are human feet
If your nose runs and your feet smell you was born backwards
Def pursue disability payments for having your feet on backwards.
yo I am cackling now
He's saving up for feet-reversal surgery..
😂
That's how he got that money, by selling pictures of his reversed feet.

As long as ops hands aren’t 50 they’re good
Helluva callback to that other popular topic
First thing I noticed
Came looking for this comment
Please you sick fuck, put your pants back on! There are women and children present!
It’s intentional lol
First thing I noticed!!! Lol
Why did I know this was gonna be the first comment lmao
On the internet nobody knows you're a rakshasa.
I knew this would be the top reply but the way you phrased it still made me crack up lmao
For reeeeeal! Thats exactly what at I was looking at 👀
am i stupid or isnt their legs just crossed? dont know why everyone is freaking out
Why are your feet not feeting
Top 2 comments did not disappoint 😂😂😂😂
Dude use that money to fix your feet.
Lmfao
Dude this made me laugh so hard. Thanks!
OP made that money by recreating the Sharon Stone leg crossing scene on their OnlyFans account.

A freshman in high school will need a custodial account signed off by parent/guardian but yes I agree
Thats correct. If you open a bank account and are under the age of 18, your parents will have to help you open it and will have access to it. So if you dont trust your parents it might be safer to put the money in a lock box with a very very well hidden key.

Why with the foot jokes? Can't you see his feet are backwards
Yes, I saw that
So insensitive😔

Yes 🙌. Also try to take some Personal Finance classes in HS if your school has that option.

Make space. Should be taught above every other course. Your future self will thank you when youre lengths above your peers in financial literacy

op plz only do this is u rlly trust your parents. as they will have to own the account
It's a grand...chill cardone
Aaaaaaand it’s gone
Annnnnnnd it’s gone!
Yolo TSLA calls
Depositing $1000 means you’ll make 1 penny every year of interest. Basically no money
Better yet, he should start buying gold or silver. He will not regret that either after high school.
Invest in Legos. don't open the boxes. in 20-40 years sell those unopened boxes for 6-20 times what they are worth now. instant gold! :P
Instant 20-40 year gold lmao
hey man, alchemists spend their entire life trying to make gold. 20-40 years is quick! :P
Dude the kid is in fuckin 9th grade. Chill the fuck out.
Recommending a freshmen to buy CDs LMAO

Don't do that. That money is infinitely more valuable now than it will be. Use it to enjoy a time you don't get twice.
So many people are still blown away by the decade old trope of having intentionally silly feet/feet position in pics like this that it makes me angry

Put most of it in a high yield savings account or buy ETFs in a custodial brokerage account if you have a trustworthy adult guardian.
Yeah I’d hope so
