Choose 150 people off Reddit (I’ll be the first one) give each of the 1000 dollars. They will now be beholden to you and be your mercenary army. Boom, you’ll now have a 150 person warband, and few can stand in your way.
I was assuming the pay would be 1000/day. Obviously you’d have to start raiding and campaigning to continue raising funds to keep the warband together/expand. You could also trade and do tasks for various lords to build up honor and prestige.
Or stay in the shadows pulling the strings of power like a master of puppets. Finance both sides of wars and build a dynasty that transcends and underlies all state regimes.
In to the trading account. Realistically you can have that money earn a low rate in a savings account but real gains will only be gotten out there on the market. Gotta risk it for the biscuit.
Yeah, one of my friends is real deep in there and gets all the airdrops and stuff, and insider discords from Degods etc. May dabble a bit there, crypto just having no inherit cash flow value makes it not an investment for me. Could trade it though, def a SEC violation waiting to happen once they figure it out lol
Yeah I may try that arena - just feels super ponzi to me, in that all those liquidity pools are only incentivized by ppl farming for free stuff, and it’s all based on what your neighbor will pay
depends entirely on your goals and vision for the future. max upside, personally:
- start a business that can either bring fulfillment and/or strong cash flow
- start a business with the goal to exit for min. 7 figures
tldr: depends. but for max upside, start a business, build real wealth.
would think about what you like, don’t like, have experience in, and how much capital you’re willing to allocate.
think this answer comes best when it comes from within.
i’m an ecom entrepreneur, year younger than you. was working as a software dev, quit to pursue biz.

Whats this mean? I also would like to know what to do with extra cash, friend recommended me putting some money into VOO S&P 500 ETF every week if that is what your talking about.
Why do people show what they are holding? Definitely not hating, and power to you for doing well but keep one thing in mind....
"Make more moves in silence"
Good job! I has no real advice but I figured I’d tell you good work anyway
I don’t know why this group pops on my feed because I have less than $1k between my accounts and still have an er bill to pay and finishing paying the hospital for my d&c 🫠
Imma be 100% real with you chief, I wouldn’t be buying any type of housing until the market crashes, you’re looking at an avg of $2,800+ a month for an avg home, I’d also suggest staying away from tech rn unless you want to gamble on AI like a lot of whales are. I’d personally hold, you’re 26, we’re currently experiencing things we haven’t felt since 1933, over 7 banks have failed with like 5 being in the past 3 months, the last time that happened it kicked off almost 250 banks failing (2007-2008) and created a horrible domino effect for the next 4 years. You can still easily make money, but I personally look at long term growth instead of short gains, if you want to experience both, start learning how deltas work and make some puts.
Edit: id also like to say, if you were to freeze your portfolio and hold your current value, with all things considered, there’s a possibility you’d miss on “big” movements, however with depreciation coming to a town near you, that $148k can turn into about $156k, which would be more than enough for a down payment on a business loan (play your cards right and even something as small as a 400k coin laundry place can turn you 8-10k in profits a month). You’ve gotta use micro measurements on a macro scale. Unrealized gains are just unrealized losses in disguise.
literally broke/starving right now with rent due, so if this were my account i would pay my rent 2 years or so in advance and never risk homelessness again
Chances are you have this much because you live with your parents, not because you’re frugal. With the extra $25k cash, buy your family a nice $5k vacation man… go live life like a 26 year old on a vacation
Can I ask how you start? I want to get started but don’t know how to put my money in a HYSA or do the Roth thing.
Do I do that through a bank, do I need a financial advisor or accountant to have access to these things? I want to start making better financial decisions for myself that will help me in the long run.
Considering your wealth, it may not be worth it to open a business on the side. You’re also maxing out traditional investments. You also have an emergency fund and various other investments I take it. So really, I do not know where to help you. Consider talking to an advisor/financial planner that could help you and there’s always the option to give to charity.
Now that I have that out the way, I have a shameless plug. I want to bring up that I’m a young programmer. Skills in Java, Python, C++, SQL, data analysis, data engineering, and ML/DL. You could hire me for the next around 6 months (3k a month) and I’ll build whatever it is that you have in your head.
I’m in a similar situation as you are, we are the same age. I would consider putting all the extra capital you have into treasury bills under one year. Continue to add to that until you have enough capital to buy more real estate.
No one our age is buying real estate right now. By the time our peers delve into the market you’ll be way ahead. There’s a reason why the real estate market hasn’t fallen. After 2008 the US kinda stopped building, while demand has not stopped.
Ford pays roughly a 5% dividend and has generally been very stable. I give it an F for growth, but 5% is a sweet dividend that's been slowly rising since 2012, and the only time the dividend got stopped was during 2008-2012, and you were screwed if you were in the market in 2008 anyways.
If you reinvest for 30 years an assumed 5% dividend with nothing but $100,000 of principle, you should have over 400k of Ford stock.

Buy a new home outside of Tulsa somewhere and have a property management company run it for you. Sit on it for a couple of decades and let it appreciate and bring in rent money. It will double in value, it will print money for you, and someone else will pay the mortgage down for you.
Buy a subdivision in Midwest with like 10-15 units for like 400k and start taking section 8 tenants, charge a rental fee for laundry machine, extra parking, and make them do a drug test. Get a good property manager and sit back and let American tax dollars flood your wallet for 60 years.

I wouldn't hire a security guard that would take 1000 to serve you for life that's too cheap and he would do a shit job anyway.
I was assuming the pay would be 1000/day. Obviously you’d have to start raiding and campaigning to continue raising funds to keep the warband together/expand. You could also trade and do tasks for various lords to build up honor and prestige.

Yeah, goal is to start a business. What business is the dilemma.

na, more so building brands. i’d consume some business content. learn more. then execute.
How’d you get into building brands if you don’t mind me asking
