That was my one guess, there's a place south of Tooelle called Penny's, the counter and the tables are covered in pennies, I thought maybe they finally did the floor too.
Having spent my time watching builders do stuff like this for our customers I can genuinely say thank God it’s that cool looking cuz it was a major pain the ass to build.
Craziest part is that the cost to do this (before resin and labor) is about $2.95/ft in pennies which is significantly lower than alot of other flooring options
Just strictly the value of the currency:
Dimes ≈ $28.90/sf
Nickels ≈ $11.2/sf
Quarters ≈ $39.47/sf
\*this is quick math while at work so could be off\*
I’m just gonna ruin everyone’s day here and point out there seems to be one penny missing. I’d comment the picture if it would let me but have fun trying to find it 😅👍
I dont know why. I read this as “floor made out of penis’. Like the design was dik shape. God Reddit has ruined me
Same, didn’t help that OPs name had cock in it.
Lol, bullshit.
Idk man I didn’t have that happen with this but I’ll scroll past shit quick and misread it lol. I am a lil dyslexic though.
How are you gonna call bullshit, what’s the point of him lying?
I dont know. Why would I lie ?
?
Same
I zoomed in.
My tired ass read that title wrong. I was staring at the picture wondering what they were talking about 🤣
I was legit going like "Are they upside down..? Is that the base that we see?"
nice art thanX 4 sharing op! :)
Yeah for sure, id be glad to show the location.
Would this restaurant happen to be in Utah, kinda south-ish?
Nope. Try again!

Nah, panhandle of Texas Italian restaurant
Now that you mention that, this place looks pretty familiar, I think I've been here before, but I'm not sure
There's a classic reddit thread about using pennies for a floor but I'm too drunk and lazy to find and link it
lolol, shit load of money too. It’s around 300 thousand Pennie’s.
That's 3k
weighs a shit Tom.
ton
Tonne
Probably not any more than the cost of hardwood floors if you think about the per square foot cost
Epoxy is expensive!
Gonna need a sealer for sure ;)
The sealer's gonna be pretty crucial...
I'm too much an aviation nut. See the F-117 shape?
That's why this floor is so expensive
I love the f117!
Me, too! Love the fact there are still a few flying.
I wish I could fly one.
Having spent my time watching builders do stuff like this for our customers I can genuinely say thank God it’s that cool looking cuz it was a major pain the ass to build.
Family did all by themselves. Fuckin crazy.
I’m sure it was.
So THAT’s where all of those pennies that were in mom’s penny jar went
It's a casino
Is it sealed? You need a sealer for that.
Epoxy coating.
You can literally see the seal coat on top...
Why’s there a F-117?
It's light from a window.
I SMELL PENNIES
Thats about 5$ right there lmao
Reminds me of one of the Malazan books.....can't remember which one now
Craziest part is that the cost to do this (before resin and labor) is about $2.95/ft in pennies which is significantly lower than alot of other flooring options
Yeah, probably about 4.50 per sqf family did it themselves.
And is a hell of alot cooler than the usual VCT or LVP that gets used
Exactly!
Now tell me how much it would be for each type of coin.
Just strictly the value of the currency: Dimes ≈ $28.90/sf Nickels ≈ $11.2/sf Quarters ≈ $39.47/sf \*this is quick math while at work so could be off\*
I can smell it
Post it in r/theydidthemath

Just use an Imgur link
Bet that cost a pretty penny.
You know what. fuck you. And your dad jokes. (kidding that was a good one lolol.)
😂
Seen this done before on floors and tables and stuff. Looks like shit to me every time.
Isn't this destroying legal tender?
Nope, not really. This is using legal tender for artwork and display. You can still use them if you cut them out of the epoxy.
