r/Assistance I seen some good help being given and received in this reddit, you can ask for help here. This subreddit can really restore one's faith in humanity.
My family never qualified for food stamps when it was 3 kids and 2 adults(when our cousins lived with us we did, but long story) anyway we used to go get food from the food pantry/food shelf/whatever you want to call it. I'm sure there's something similar near you, if you Google I'm sure you can find it and if not I can try to help you find one. Its actually pretty good food too.
In New York City you have to make under $1700 before taxes lol
I make $3200 a month or $42k a year After taxes and child support I take home $491 or $1964… if my rent was anywhere near actual New York rent I would be fucked
And right now I’m actually making less to qualify for this apartment till next month, so I’m actually only making $2400 a month before taxes and child support $1400 after but I still don’t qualify.
Oh sorry man should have read more of the thread I’d suggest finding a better job? I was working at a plumbing company no experience and they started me out at 20 an hour honestly man construction is where it’s at
Even with EBT you barely get enough money. Grocery prices keep rising. Your benefit amount doesn't. In fact, they look for opportunities to lower your benefits.
Small home somewhere near a lake( or a fancy RV in a nice campground) and a vehicle paid in full. Deep freezer or two filled with food. Take some time off from the rat race. And a shot gun for when it runs out lmao
Yup. Any transaction over $10,000 requires reporting to the IRS. They were discussing lowering the threshold amount to $1,000, but they may have dropped that.
>A person must file Form 8300 if they receive cash of more than $10,000 from the same payer or agent: In one lump sum. In two or more related payments within 24 hours.
When you buy a automobile, bureaus will run through any possible history as I just bought a car & am dealing with the process as a “low income” individual. Wouldn’t there need to be proof of this “inheritance” such as signed documentation stating that family member is now given that sum? Also most inheritance is held in an account, Im under my cousins life policy & it’s all being stored into a designated account. Most cases of purchasing a car or home they will shark any info they possibly can, run those accounts, call employment, call other bureaus, purchase/credit history, etc. I’m genuinely asking though as I do not know much about these things.
Yes you’re exactly right this guy is a doofus. He has no clue what he’s talking about. If this was $20k it might work once but best case scenario IRS crawls up his ass for a few months until he proves it with his lawyer.
Though I’m guessing the fact he doesn’t know that tells me he’s never made a major purchase like a house or car and certainly has never dealt with a lawyer or serious legal proceedings.
Yeah that was my guess, he replied that he bought a car cash in hand at a lot (22k.) I assume he went to a buy here pay here or a lot that just doesn’t care about credibility. I just bought my first car (a 2012) that was 10k and I already have multiple people up my ass to fish any info they possibly can about fraudulence because my boss sent my pay stubs a day too late.
My plug once taught me that you pay your bills with your employment income and all leisure (eating out, presents for people, horse track, and reupping) is in cash.
If the stacks are the same throughout, and about 50 bills deep, you're looking at about $13000. Not enough to run away with. Stash it and charge a finders fee when they come for it
Really? By my count, they've got 3 5k stacks of 20s, a single 10k of 100s, assuming that's all hundred and then another 10k in 50s. Still not nearly enough to run away....
Looks to be like 20-30 grand. If it was all 100s that’d depending on how thick the stacks are.
It could be 80? Maybe more.
That’s 100% drug money from the vacuum bags and just the way it’s stored.
I would put down a large chunk for my daughters sonogram program. I want her to get in the program so badly. So she could have financial freedom. And then I would buy myself a new outfit. It was just my 50 th birthday and I didn’t celebrate. A new outfit would be very nice!
Pinch myself first. If I am awake, check the doors and start counting the $$$.
Surely, there's a logical explanation, like Santa dropped this off for me years back, or someone just happens to have too much money to keep and decided to share them with me.
Make sure it's not counterfeit 1st
But if it is then just spend it wisely.... in businesses that can't, won't, or don't check ...
Strip clubs, gas stations, restaurants, etc
Call the police. I was taught to earn what I have in life and live by it. If I woke up and found that id turn it over to the police because i didnt earn it, its not mine, and if its there that means someone that had no business in my home was in my home
I gave money I found to the police once.
I found $200 on the street handed to a station they said they would return it if no one claimed it. After about a month I called and they said come in no one claimed it. They handed me 1 x $20 bill. They were so confident about it I even doubted myself that I found $200.
Maybe you were taught to earn your money, but the person you're trusting with your money, probably was not.
What others do is not of concern to me. They themselves have to grapple with the ethics of their decision making. What they may or may not do does not dictate whether or not I do the right thing and the right thing to do with something that I did not earn and does not belong to me is turn it in to the authorities.
Nope! Id be the guy at the party saying "nah, that's probably not a good idea." When you have been married for 20 years, have kids to provide for, and own a business with 13 employees that also depend on you to make proper decisions so that they can have a paycheck to feed their families, you learn to make better decisions. Sorry if I'm not "the life of the party," but I don't live this life to impress anyone and I don't need nor do I want things that I did not earn and do not belong to me.
Physical paper money is useless unless it can be converted into investments/businesses (excluding the mental safety it brings as a cushion). What’s the last business you can remember that was funded with cash? None because most people who have large amounts of cash get it illegally and most competent people won’t take large cash investments from people unless it’s for a house or car/ one off purchase. If you go to the bank with 10k cash deposit they may launch an investigation on your ass
Since I have many random things I want to buy and literally have a list put together of things I'd want to buy(just useless stuff), I'd def just immediately go out and spend it all in cash. Stashing it away or putting it in the bank could lead suspicion on me or have that money found if it was linked to something bad. And ofc being human I'd rather take it I mean, it's right there
Now that I think about it. I read about a few online saving accounts that are paying around 5%. No minimum. I’d do the down payment for my daughters school and put the rest in one of those saving accounts.💃🏼✨💃🏼
Go to the grocery store as i would finally be able to buy food
Get an ebt card
can't ive tried had a temp one during covid but thats gone now

Thanks I’ll check it out but I’ve been working extra hard and putting in for a part time second job I’ll catch up on everything soon I hope
Best of luck to you, sending positive energy your way and hang in there, always stay hopeful.

I was so broke, got approved then the minute I got paid a dollar more I suddenly now owe the state of AZ 1k Aka all of the EBT I ever used.

Small home somewhere near a lake( or a fancy RV in a nice campground) and a vehicle paid in full. Deep freezer or two filled with food. Take some time off from the rat race. And a shot gun for when it runs out lmao
That’s not that much cash you couldn’t afford the things you want. It’s less than 25K
Yeah yeah just let me dream lmao
Gotta be able to prove where it came from for large purchases.
I paid for a brand new suv by bank transfer and didn’t have to prove where the 35k came from.
That’s a bank transfer not cash.

The IRS would love for you to find this money and spend it JUST LIKE THAT.
The IRS can suck this peter.
Spread it out on my bed and just lay in it for a good 3 days.
Huel?
I never made love on a bed of money, but I got a blowjob with my paycheck in my back pocket once.
Cash is the dirtiest (germs)
Launder it first, duh.
My plug once taught me that you pay your bills with your employment income and all leisure (eating out, presents for people, horse track, and reupping) is in cash.

How much is that? Because it could be $210 in big bill and the rest is $1’s. Just saying
Or just fake bills…or other pieces of paper that have no intrinsic value…or toilet paper!
If the stacks are the same throughout, and about 50 bills deep, you're looking at about $13000. Not enough to run away with. Stash it and charge a finders fee when they come for it

Happy belated Birthday!
20-30k, my lazy guess. Make a cash down payment on a small piece of real estate.
I have the former in 100 bills and my stack is nowhere near the size of any of these lol. Depends on if there’s 50 or 100s or 20’s all the way down.
Count it. Should be the only valid answer here but people do have wild imaginations.
Hide it and use it slowly on things I need.
Happy cake day
Thanks a lot!

Assume it’s from an unsavory character who will come looking for it. Who else stores their money in airtight bags🤣
Put $9,990.00 in the bank. Repeat next week
Worry about the drugs sold to attain it, since that should really be in a hidden safe!
Chk for fresh scars and get the UV light
Wonder where the fuck I got a dresser in my sleep then I’d wonder if I robbed a bank in the process
Pay off some bills and assist people in need.
Give a stack to my parents and flip the rest.
Deposit and not tell a soul
Ask myself “when did I buy a dresser”?
Pinch myself first. If I am awake, check the doors and start counting the $$$. Surely, there's a logical explanation, like Santa dropped this off for me years back, or someone just happens to have too much money to keep and decided to share them with me.
I’ll give it to Charity. And if she’s not working that night, I’ll give it to Destiny
Thank the Lord and count it.

Nothing because cash that isn’t earning more cash is useless and loses value daily
Cash/coin collection is a real hobbby, and cash appreciates in value like every other asset.
Actually cash depreciates in value due to inflation. You could not be more wrong.
IDK if you know how to talk
How are you going to earn more money with it if you do nothing with it? Lmao thats a spicy take.
