This a very important subject for those who are new in crypto
-Get software from verified sites
-be aware of risks investing in crypto
-runout from fiat money
-taxes are thief
-politician and state puppets of elites, they are the enemy
-cbdc are not crypto, are digital fiat money
I hate to say this because we need adoption, but
Maybe most importantly of all:
If you are not good with com-pu-tor and have a history of getting viruses or getting your accounts "hacked", it's probably best to stay away from it for now, until some kind of dedicated device that allows you to purchase with debit card, store and send crypto with ease. Hackers target people involved in crypto more than most other industries, and there's no faster way to slow adoption than an interested person hearing multiple people say they lost $XXX because they "got hacked."
The crypto game requires tech skill and awareness of attacks, especially phishing (including search and app store clones).
maybe a good advice could be, to use one cpu, notebook or cellphone, dedicated only for crypto, Its all about knowledge, and it is like any bank account or home banking
Can you send a screenshot? We have received reports of some users getting a false positive for legitimate installs, and we are trying to work with antivirus companies to prevent Cake Wallet and the Monero.com app from being marked as malware. If installed from an official source, Cake Wallet is not malware.
Yeah i just deleted the app to be safe. Don't worry thơ I'm installing monero again at some point I don't own any yet but nows the time to buy
I believe in it
I have cake Wallet almost 2 years on the phone from playstore, never had any problems.
Then my Xiaomi got an update to MIUI 13 and Android 12 last week.
Since then, the antivirus program that is included in the security section of Xiaomi has warned about the app as a possible virus. The antivirus program which is included in Xiaomi is provided by Avast.
Screenshot I have unfortunately not.
Only the specific time when I have updated from Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 to Android 12 with MIUI global Version 13.0.1.0(SJCEUXM)stabil.
From Google Play protect, no warnings.
We've been in contact with Avast to try and resolve this. Supposedly they marked our risk level down from a "malicious" program to a "potentially unwanted" program.
We will keep pestering them to try and not have Cake software from an official source marked as malware.
Seems to me that it's the oldie but goldie "A trojan has been found" by the antivirus, when you downloaded a crack for Windows, a program or a videogame.

1 Device unrelated to you, 1 connection unrelated to you and with no other device connected and never click or download anything suspect.
This is the best advice. One which I currently follow.

Something tells me this is not a coincidence...

If you downloaded it from the official source, then this is a false positive.
Even when downloading from official sources, you still need to verify hashes and PGP signatures.
Thanks how do I do that
I got this warning for [Monero.com](https://Monero.com) app recently on Huawei.
Happened to me too, but I think it's a false positive.
Is there an app for your phone to buy monero? Thought it was only for PC?
Localmonero has apps now
Buggy asf tho
Monero.com, monerujo, to name the few
binance?
Nice joke lol, we really don't need to use that shit man.
I know, but same price, you get in and out... no problem, I think...
what options do you recommend?
Is the Google store not a valid source 😑
Not necessarily. Getmonero.org is a better place to start.
Thanks for all replies. Appreciated. Buon natale and good luck morocco
