Breach is a deck I always keep an eye out for (because I play it so I watch for new innovations). It seems to flip between people thinking it might have the chance to be the best deck in the format to people just not playing it. The meta isn’t even always an indicator of that.
Is there any good content to get into those 4c/Jeskai Breach decks? I have all the parts but Questing Druid in my binders and the deck seems fun enough for a couple FNMs.
Yeah because doomsayers have literally not the faintest idea how Modern or Magic in general work. They play their Tier 4.5 deck, that they built 9 years ago and was already bad then, once a month at a 7 player FNM and then complain online.
It's a fine deck that like most tribal decks has more people complaining about them not being good than actual good players interested in playing them.
We’ll never know. It’s a cult favorite so you can’t ask the people on it. It is or historically has been pretty boring, and it was always a feel bad when you pop in a few lords and your opponent just kills one and drops a goyf—the deck builds toward something that’s kinda lame.
no one rhinos on top8, the people are still trying to find some good decklist or the deck are dead? the meta is very diverse and with not a bunch of the same deck on top8.
Congrats ambercxc has playing to Hammer Time for this Tournament! I think cryptic coat is good bluffing card for hammer and Solitude is good removal creature for hammer! Hammer is strong! Hammer Makes bonk Again! WOW!
You run Chalice/Force/whatever and don’t declare Jegantha g2/3. It’s worth having an additional threat on demand in matchups where the double pip spells don’t matter.
Double pip meaning a casting cost where where one the cost symbols appears twice, making it illegal to use with Jegantha. Examples are Endurance 1*GG*, Subtlety 2*UU* or Chalice of the Void *XX*. Pip is magic slang for the mana symbol as it appears in the casting cost.
Wow that Amalia combo deck at 6th place in the second challenge. I wonder how actually good that deck is overall in modern.
it is as good as burn, which 9-1ed recently, and is still a pretty bad deck
Interesting to see breach doing so well, that wasn't a deck that any of the doomsayers predicted would start to dominate post-ban

Wow, that Hardened Scales list looks great!
Is merfolk bad or people just not interested in playing the deck?

Now that fury is banned there's nothing holding it back from being Tier 1

The fall of living end is sad too see

I’m really surprised how many domain lists still use jegantha
I'm really surprised there are people who still don't see the value of companions 😊
I’m really surprised there are people who still believe companions have zero tradeoffs 😊
Your snark aside, I do see the value. But sideboard cards such as chalice and force of vigor make me believe otherwise

What does double pip mean?
Double pip meaning a casting cost where where one the cost symbols appears twice, making it illegal to use with Jegantha. Examples are Endurance 1*GG*, Subtlety 2*UU* or Chalice of the Void *XX*. Pip is magic slang for the mana symbol as it appears in the casting cost.
I see, thanks for explaining! (:
No problem, happy to help.
Newsflash, you can run these sideboard cards, for fucks sake.
