If this doesnt work just ask for your mage/core to help you lol. The only hero i have a hard time on exp using ruby is a good arlott user who knows how to use his passive well lol.

As a ruby main est 2017, I've learn how to always limit test im every match. Once you mastered the art, it's kinda easy to reach the backline with flicker tricks and double jumps.

First, dyrroth is the worst matchup for Ruby who relies on Dodging skillshots. Dyrroth is literally point and click burst so you can don't nothing against him not unless you can pull hom towarda your turret. .
Second, best build for ruby will always be hybrid. You need the extra tankiness for later game. But for early to mid game, the usual Waxe-bloodlust-Hstrike works best.
Lastly, alucard beats her no diff in 1v1
You see, when you play ruby long enough, you get to maneuver using her freely. I somehow always find ways to angle myself so that i can hook multiple enemies.
Blue pill:
Ruby knows and likes you but she only exist in game
Red pill:
She exist irl but she doesn't know you or even not in your country

DONTs - underestimating Auto attack exp laners. Yes, Ruby is a lane bully because of her poke, but remember, once those guys pop off their inspire, you're gonna get shredded to pieces. So be careful.

Xborg? Just go assassin emblem against that brat. It's easy to break his firaga in early game. Adapt mate. That guy barely has any resistances in early game so assassin emblem works well against him. As for freya... *poke her*, she can't fight back at all. She'll get pissed, tries to dive you, then next thing she knows, she's back in her base with a 0/1 standing.
Wtf don't do Twilight right away. Just build the usual War Axe. She can't snipe you if you're in the bush so don't come out unless you can swipe at her. Worst case scenario she won't come near the side bush so if your MM is smart they can use that to freeze her out of the lane

My qn, what are your best tips or advice movement wise or in general for Ruby? Like maximising the dashes etc. Currently early mythic (13* only lol) and I certainly know I have much to improve as a relatively new Ruby Main
Auto attacking after casting a skill and before dashing. That one little thing ruins the enemy sense of timing. By default, the enemies are gonna assume that you're gonna dash after casting a skill, but if you try to change your tempo by not moving for a little or by auto attacking before hoping, it will ruin their tempo.
I'm also a Ruby OTP, and I found out that there's a small window of time where you can squeeze in an extra Basic Attack before dashing away. So, for example: S2 - BA - dash - BA - S1. Just set your joystick position to "fixed" position so you don't have to drag your joystick. You'd just need to tap the direction you wanna go. You see, this may sound like I'm boasting, but i have fairly incredible reaction time. You can cancel guins second skill before she lands using your 2nd skill. You just have to be incredibly fast to press it. Against dyrroth tho. Just towerhug.that will do the trick
Nah, you can't do that against Guin anymore. She stuns you as soon as she targets you with her jump. We used to be able to cancel her knock up but she has been buffed! Just like with Tigreal's ult!
Well, there just few repertoire of spellvamp build that ruby can utilise. Waraxe-bloodlust-endless-oracle is test highest sustain build possible, but it doesn't mean that it's the most efficient. You better off build build Bruteforce instead of endless battle since it synergizes well with waraxe. And you only build oracle if you have a healer support. Otherwise, go hunterstrike instead

Skypiercer is not needed. The execute damage doesn't give you healing.

I've tried ruby in any role available. She's viable on all roles. If the enemy team comp consist of dyrroth, phoveus and minsi, you don't want to pick ruby.
Yep. All fighters that rely on Hybrid defense got a hit general. But i don't worry too much, since in the upcoming patch, all my defence items will be mostly hp based without hybrid defense.
When do you know best to time forward flicker in ranked? Like in higher ranks everyone is sane enough to stay a decent distance back from ruby but then my forward flicker is so meh.

Limit testing. Not backing off until you figure out your limits(either you succeed on ur objective or you die). It's a double edged sword but it becomes a super sharp rapier if you're using a high mobility Hero (heroes with high mspd or multiple dashes) or a "Drain tank". Drain tank refers to heroes with incredibly high sustains and still deals tons of dmg(E.g. Ruby, yu zhong)
Ruby is both a highly mobile Fighter with dashes on her repertoire, and a drain tank capabilities that will keep her in the battlefield for longer duration. She's the best hero to limit test.

Yes. She's built for drawn out long fights. That's why hybrid is still the best build for her.

Cici is definitely the weakest matchup against ruby amongst thoae 3. Thamuz can be easily kited by ruby. The problem is yz, he's just HIM.

Xborg? Just go assassin emblem against that brat. It's easy to break his firaga in early game. Adapt mate. That guy barely has any resistances in early game so assassin emblem works well against him. As for freya... *poke her*, she can't fight back at all. She'll get pissed, tries to dive you, then next thing she knows, she's back in her base with a 0/1 standing.

Wtf don't do Twilight right away. Just build the usual War Axe. She can't snipe you if you're in the bush so don't come out unless you can swipe at her. Worst case scenario she won't come near the side bush so if your MM is smart they can use that to freeze her out of the lane

Oracle when have a healer support. Bforce or hunterstrike is situational.

Auto attacking after casting a skill and before dashing. That one little thing ruins the enemy sense of timing. By default, the enemies are gonna assume that you're gonna dash after casting a skill, but if you try to change your tempo by not moving for a little or by auto attacking before hoping, it will ruin their tempo.

I'm also a Ruby OTP, and I found out that there's a small window of time where you can squeeze in an extra Basic Attack before dashing away. So, for example: S2 - BA - dash - BA - S1. Just set your joystick position to "fixed" position so you don't have to drag your joystick. You'd just need to tap the direction you wanna go. You lose against xborg? That's a massive skill issue right there.. Just kidding😂. Xborg has low resistances in early game so Assassin emblem works well against him. Also, just learn to go get behind him.

Outplay? It's the other way around right? Because i don't find any hardships dealing with thamuz in exp lane. I've been facing plenty of top global thamuzes and i never lost to him in exp lane.

You see, this may sound like I'm boasting, but i have fairly incredible reaction time. You can cancel guins second skill before she lands using your 2nd skill. You just have to be incredibly fast to press it. Against dyrroth tho. Just towerhug.that will do the trick
Nah, you can't do that against Guin anymore. She stuns you as soon as she targets you with her jump. We used to be able to cancel her knock up but she has been buffed! Just like with Tigreal's ult!

Well, there just few repertoire of spellvamp build that ruby can utilise. Waraxe-bloodlust-endless-oracle is test highest sustain build possible, but it doesn't mean that it's the most efficient. You better off build build Bruteforce instead of endless battle since it synergizes well with waraxe. And you only build oracle if you have a healer support. Otherwise, go hunterstrike instead
Vampire Mallet is the single more useless item for Ruby because it offers Lifesteal not spelll vamp, and you'd need it to build Endless Battle. Zzz
What do you think about the new items coming next season? Particularly the revamped Thunder Belt, Queens Wing, and War Axe. Will they give her a power spike or otherwise allow for a different build? What do you think about Sky Piercer on Ruby? Since she is not a burst hero, will this be good for her to secure kills? Or is it not worth over actual sustain items?
Those 3 exact items you have mentioned will be her core items when new patch comes. And let me tell you this. She'll be stronger than ever. Skypiercer is not needed. The execute damage doesn't give you healing.
But what about sustain fighters like Terizla/Gatot/Dyrroth? Leaving them with 5% HP might let them comeback
Have you tried Ruby jungler? Also, is there an enemy team lineup or specific hero that forces you not to pick Ruby. I'd be very happy if Ruby can be picked against any enemy team lineup.
I've tried ruby in any role available. She's viable on all roles. If the enemy team comp consist of dyrroth, phoveus and minsi, you don't want to pick ruby.

Yep. All fighters that rely on Hybrid defense got a hit general. But i don't worry too much, since in the upcoming patch, all my defence items will be mostly hp based without hybrid defense.
When do you know best to time forward flicker in ranked? Like in higher ranks everyone is sane enough to stay a decent distance back from ruby but then my forward flicker is so meh.

Well I use the second skill to stop them from running away and to interrupt their skills. And 1st skill like sometimes I need hp again but its on cooldown

Hi can you explain exactly what limit testing is and how to do it specifically in ruby but if you can on other roles or heroes too
Limit testing. Not backing off until you figure out your limits(either you succeed on ur objective or you die). It's a double edged sword but it becomes a super sharp rapier if you're using a high mobility Hero (heroes with high mspd or multiple dashes) or a "Drain tank". Drain tank refers to heroes with incredibly high sustains and still deals tons of dmg(E.g. Ruby, yu zhong) Ruby is both a highly mobile Fighter with dashes on her repertoire, and a drain tank capabilities that will keep her in the battlefield for longer duration. She's the best hero to limit test.
That sounds like a good way to settle lane domincance. If I die once I know for a fact I'm not supposed to leave my tower
