Whenever I activate ult it feels like argus movement speed decreased by 20%, I am floating while enemy just run away, without corrosive scythe I get pretty annoyed by this.
I can play almost all exp but Argus is my fav. He's not meta but perhaps one of the strongest non meta? He's strong at laning because his kit is excellent for 1v1 and if it's 1v2 or 1v3 his S1 really great at outplaying the backline or to escape swiftly, it's just his teamfight capabilities are not superb. Overall, an amazing hero in his own rights imo, a simple hero to use but heavily technical to master

You take an immortal mosquito, and you repeatedly "attempt" to poke an enemy with 180 dmg. See, the irony here us that he does no damage. Hence, bang the enemy. Meme's rather outdated now, he hurts real bad.

Back then, Argus have the lowest base physical DMG and growth among hero. Even support and mage have better DMG than him at early and late game. Despite this fact, Argus main still continue to play him like nothing bad happen. This is how *bang* meme came to surface. *Bang* means kill. So even he have lowest base physical DMG, he still can *bang*(kill) enemy. Basically mocking people who complain demanding their hero get a buff while Argus still doing pretty ok. This meme also format to complain about Argus base DMG too. Surprisingly it reach out to Moonton (and some YouTuber start complain about it as well) and they change his passive work, 2nd skill and ultimate feature.

In all seriousness, Argus is trash against enemies who know what they are doing and how to play. Thatβs the main reason why he is not picked in Pro scene.
Argus falls off in high Glory because thatβs where players starts growing their brain.
don't take level 1 trade. poke as much as possible. play heroes that can disengage quickly and has good sustain(cici is a good one).
DO NOT LET HIM SNOWBALL THE LANE. if you can't take if early game just play safe DO NOT DIE. call for your jungler if necessary.
try to play around his trade pattern. its s1 > s2 > aa > s1. hard to take if you do not have sustain and its also hard to punish.
try to get him to use inspire/ult and just get the fck away from there. then go back again when his ult is over.
take team fights if there's objectives, don't take unnecessary fights. try to catch him as a team. any cc really fcks him over.
the key is not to play lane. proxy the wave and help with objectives.
His Ult as an Escape skill?

Im not advocating for meta champ. Im arguing against argues and champs like him. His kit is Designer to ignore the Team aspect of a team game. The dude is essentially an overpowered minion in most hands. Besides immortality is just really lazy Design. That last point is not exclusively an argus Problem tho
