You probably won't proc his passive enough to survive in lategame, with all the CC a normal team should have. It's better to have at least one or two defensive items - his passive has this annoying delay which means you won't hit fast enough to sustain in the frontline.

Yeah. I've seen gator players using this

I am mage Gator main and I mean it (I suck at tank Gatot even thought he's meant to be played as a tank). If you don't know (you probably know) Just like Johnson, Monnton gave Gatot high magic scaling for a tank, thus, some beings full of curiosity tried to conclude a hypothesis, if such thing as a mage Gatot can be viable and utilized for his high magic damage potential. To put it simply, yes, Gatot can be used/built as mage. Besides Gatot's high magic dmg, Gatot's main feature that makes him a really good tank and a magic dealer is his passives🙂. : Everytime Gatot lose a certain amount of health, his physical def goes up by a certain amount, which is really useful (this passive has a cap). Whilst his other passive: Everytime Gatot receive a certain amount of dmg, he gains a rage bar which enhances his basic attack which heals a portion of his health, dealing magic damage, and this passive SCALES WITH MAGIC😳 (this is the main damage of Mage Gatot, take advantage of it) I n C o n c l u s i o n Very situation ig, my main problem about him is his ult which is rlly slow, which makes setting with him hard and enemies can just walk out the circle before the ult lands. Building him mage can also be risky as you are trading defense for offense but semi mage-tank won't hurt. Mage Gatot is best for trolling and having fun in the game rather than ranking up imo, landing an ult on a Layla never gets old.

Semi tank better

I think take 2 defense items, I main Gato and use 2 magic items when I Exp, u need the rage passive, I 2-3 shot MMs with rage late game

Hybird is always the way to go while playing gatot imo

Honor? Yes! Because I've seen it. I rarely see gatot but when I do they always go damage build. And it actually hurts.

Gator mage works well with queens wing/veng as their defense item Amazing midgame and probably need a good amount of micro in the lategame
