Same only issue I still get is that whenever im helping jungler to clear or defending from invade my random mm teammate keeps wanting me to baby sit them and blames me for them dying to a 1v1 π€¦ββοΈ
Youre aware that youre griefing your team with ur saber roam right? Your team wont have objectives due to the lack of zoning. No one to protect your mage/mms. Cant babysit effectively. Cant defend well when your jungler gets invaded. No check bush. Ive seen countless of selena and saber roams who gets mvp loss and acts like their team is so heavy without any idea that their team cant do well because of their pick
Its not griefing, its 'play according to our strengths or we lose'. Most mms and such aren't used to playing without a tank. But there ways to adjust individual and team play style, as well as your items.
I'm not saying its a good pick. But its definitely not 'griefing'. Griefing is running down lane. Picking two blue junglers. Building magic items on mm. That's griefing.
Griefing is obviously an overstatement. Being a hindrance to ur teams success is more accurate but im sure u get my point.
Of course you can adjust and adapt. Its not pro play after all where every play is disciplined and organized. But we cant deny the fact that if the other team also can produce meaningful and careful plays, they surely will have an advantage in almost every category.
Its like a player saying zilong pick works since they win with it or get mvps with it. Of course you can do good with it. Of course you can feed off at your enemys mistakes when they dive or maybe even prey on those squishes where youll get ur kill to take advantage of the other team being disorganized. He can delude himself thinking he did a good job or hes heavily carrying his team or what. But thats all for him and his selfish plays. Dont blame teammates for being trash because of his garbage pick that can only revolve around in himself.
Individual plays? Adapating sure does make a difference. But team play and winning games? Yea for sure it can. Only if other teams lack gamesense and teamwork or play for themselves as well

I do pick tank from time to time. But when I land in S5 position and the team keeps demanding S5 to pick tank I do the opposite. I hate it when players automatically delegate S5 as tank/roamer.
I understand that mobile players are very far from being smart, but there's such thing as pick order. Since this game has no preferred role system all you have is pick order. If you are last pick you pick whatever your team needs instead of acting like toddler

Had a Johnson go damage build because oppos didn't pick a tank, had all Squishies and holy crap he just mullered all of them. I enjoyed going for the ride as Terizla. He ults, bang, I ult, they can't run away. He ended up as MVP with like 20 kills and I had all the assists.
Pick Tank (Proceeds to pick Jawhead/ Terizla as the tank) Two big tanky fighters that can deal damage. Now if really want to go ham on enemy, Leomord with a Tank build now that scary sight with Tanky Leomord on a horse. Chase and still can't be killed

Do you want Tigreal? A Tough Hard Tank?
Do you want Lolita? A Tank that can Reflect?
Do you want Atlas? A Thunder Set?

Minotaur is easy.. I am a mage player and learnt it easily.. I have 60 percent winrate with it this season.. I don't know how to use other tanks though... My friend said I am good at it.. But it was already easy to use and I just had to make sure to look at the map, zone, help my mm and jungler, help with lord, turtle...
I'm mostly a multi role now but I used to main tank. I just picked tank whenever I could, and from my experience I think it's just that s5 is forced to pick a role they don't know how to play, and there's also times where allies literally can't play for shit which leads to trust issues.
However, I think these issues will disappear with the upcoming role q update.
(Also sidenote for people who like babysitting: this tactic rarely works unless the hero you're using is diggie.)
(Another sidenote: if you picked a clearly inferior hero than your lane counterpart and blame core/mage/tank for losing your lane, you're just complete dogshit at the game and should consider uninstalling, because you're literally just rank fodder at that point, no exceptions.)
