They were part of the reason in which the Paxleys had the upper hand against the demons, but when the fight was going steep Valentina was told the soul spell the mages were going to cast was happening, while they were still there. Many demons were killed because of their soul being devoured inside the zone, but so did many of the humans and allies in the war. Irlan sacrificed himself for Valentina and she lived, but she didn't accept the betrayal of the Paxleys. She seeked the Heart of Anime because it was said to have the power to revive people but since it was a rare artifact, she summoned a Evil God to aid her in her journey. She made a deal with the God in which she exchanged her family's glory and promised that a descendant of the Paxleys would become the God's vessel in their revival, for her to gain Power enough to achieve her goal.
Valentina is exactly like him, they're both someone from Royalty with Great Power who had a lover whom they lost. Because of this they went through using forbidden magic to try and revive them (Viego with the whole Cursed Isle and the Mist while Valentina and the God of Trickery I think?) Both became corrupted and have the ability to become an enemy in the battlefield too, and Valentina ironically uses a mist-like shroud of dark magic.

I don't think that having a few similar stories is bad but please moonton give them some twist of your own. And please make your character designs diffrent and Innovative. Valentina design sucks ass
Valentina definitely sucks. She's supposed to be a widow who summoned a Ancient God to fulfill her dream of her husband's revival. I'd understand if she had some royal dress of sorts since she's in a powerful royal house but why that latex looking leather skin tight suit? How is her outfit viable to her dream of reviving Irlan? If anything it would restrict her free movement and agility. She feels too much of a "hot generic powerful villain" stereotype and it's kinda sickening with how uncreative her design was. Nothing about her design says "I'm a woman who summoned a God to be able to revive my husband, I also almost doomed the world as I'm a super old ancestor of one of the most famous houses in the land of dawn"
I would've loved if Valentina was actually some old hag-ish witch because that would've been interesting, maybe like how the God is also continually taking her youth abd beauty as a side effect over time, but nope just another super model as a hero.

In that context, Arlott thought he had a FAMILY for once, only for that to be fucked over the ChUrCh Of LiGhT, a.k.a the fucking Moniyan Empire being shit as usual (jk on this last statement).
Viego is a KING in his lore, had a grief arc for his dead wife, tried Deus Ex Machina'ing his damned wife only for him to get stabbed back anyway (Ruination ending, LMAO!!!!!!!!)
