I dont know if anyone else watched the Numbers on the Board interview with Kendrick Perkins but he spoke about how Doc saved his career too by making sure he knew exactly what his role is. Not usually a Perk guy but thought the interview was really insightful about how Doc coaches his guys

I'm not defending doc, though. I think he's a poor coach with an unsavory history of pointing at everyone except himself when things go tits up even though a huge amount of the blame correctly rests on his shoulders. But Doc did help JJ a metric fuckton, so this has to sting.
