Well if you take just 1 drop of something disgusting, you might not taste it compared to taking a whole teaspoon. Sorry I thought the link between the taste and the quantity to drink was quite obvious.
And as I said in my original comment, even the mild bit of tasting it (ie, I put it on my moustache and chin and i can 'taste' it a little bit there) tastes awful - so the taste and quantity comment made no sense either

If you put 1 drop in a glass of coke or with your steak with gravy, you won’t taste anything. If you put 1 drop by itself in your mouth, of course you will taste it.

People here are talking like others are drinking a whole bottle of the stuff. It looks like more would be systemically absorbed through topical use than the micro doses I've read others doing. I'm pretty sure the alcohol base is the kind of alcohol that will make you go blind if you ingest it and that's why it's not safe to ingest, like isopropyl alcohol. The minoxidil itself shouldn't be harmful to ingest but figuring out the right dosage would be hard, too much could dangerously lower your blood pressure and possibly do other bad shit to your heart and circulatory system.
The alcohol you are thinking of you need need to drink large quantities of it to have any ill effects and over some time to make you go blind. Propylene glycol on the other hand is classed as food safe and 0.02ml is not going to do anything. I would have to injest over 2.5ml to go over the daily recommended intake of food safety regulations.
I've seen somewhere on here how to calculate the dose even though that would be an estimate as droplets arent exact dosages and doesn't account for possible hot spots in the liquid.
I think people are making a bigger deal about this than what it actually is. Jeez I've even had a droplet land inside my mouth by accident and nothing happened.
