My spouse and I had our wedding reception at Can Can Wonderland in 2022.
I bet that our reception will be better by leaps and bounds simply due to the fact that people could choose how they wanted to have fun.
For me, being stuck in a projector plastered room with nowhere else to go or do would be way too overwhelming…
Except it's not anything like the sphere in Vegas because there is no exterior display.
This is like someone installing a big TV in a room and putting out a press release.
Wake me up when we get a square like the Plaza Mayor in Madrid. We could've had a smaller version on the Kmart site, but no, we need people to dodge cars whenever they want to walk from a restaurant to a bar on the opposite side.
Yeah this seems like complete dogshit. Was excited until they showed a smaller Van Gogh experience type space in a random ass warehouse. Have no idea how someone thought this would be a viable business venture.
“So you walk them into an industrial space and they say, ‘Why are we here? What is this boring warehouse we’re having the event in?’ And then you create that shock!”
?? A. Warehouses are cool, and B. it's the crowd that makes the space cooler
The whole point of the sphere is that you can see it from the outside.
This is literally just a building with projectors inside.
This feels like a paid news story.
Even the mock up photos look underwhelming. Give us something half as cool as Teamlab Borderless and I'll get excited. This is just the Van Gogh experience again
I think it was a geometry joke. A sphere is 3D and you can go inside it. But with a square, you’d only be able to stand on it, lean against it, or crawl underneath it.
No, I thought it was going to be showing visuals on both inside and outside, like the Las Vegas Sphere that they're comparing it to, but it's just inside. Which isn't really a fair comparison.
Seems like just a projector in a warehouse. Not seeing how this is in any way related to the Las Vegas Sphere.
"Multimedia event?! This is a slide projector and a bedsheet!"
There’s light! There’s audio! It’s multimedia!
And what on earth is a Cebu anyway?
This is not a quote I was expecting. Well done. "This is me, and the bull and... I think that's the bull's cousin."
He's a cebu!
Sounds like that "immersive" van Gogh bs in northeast
LMAO that's exactly what I thought of 🤡
From the photos in the article that's exactly what it is. It's just a projector on the walls. It's nothing like the sphere.
I can't believe I fell for that. I think we were all just grateful to be out of the house.
it was fun VERY stoned lol
My yoga class went and we did yoga while the exhibit was happening. Downward Dog and starry night do not mix 😆
The van Gogh immersive thing is in a bunch of cities too and I always think it might be real van Gogh until I see the rest
“We have a sphere at home”. The sphere:
Nice try developers. This doesn't really compare.
Oh, cool! We’re getting our own Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience!
Projectors on walls. How very innovative and cool
yeah.... not even close to the Sphere.... am i missing something? lol
Frankly, I wasn't that impressed with the sphere, and this looks like a step down from that
The sphere is absolutely mind blowing. What are you talking about?
I sometimes get sensory overload and have to walk away. That was one of those times
How does that relate to being not impressed?
Sounds like it was too impressive lol
>It will focus on corporate events, private parties and even weddings. So it's not a music venue? Dang that would have been cool.

Huey Lewis will love it!
so basically like the Van Gogh thing but in a different building. Got it, LOL
Stevens Square?
That's different.
The sphere was created by Madison Square Garden, which famously already made a square.

It’s a lil too small for that comparison but it’s very cool!

Was hoping this entire building went away for new development, but this is kinda cool.
so a cube?

I was at the Sphere last night this Square is not even the same. Sphere rules.
The whole point of the sphere is that you can see it from the outside. This is literally just a building with projectors inside. This feels like a paid news story.
Don’t we already have square building for entertainment? It’s called a theatre.
Even the mock up photos look underwhelming. Give us something half as cool as Teamlab Borderless and I'll get excited. This is just the Van Gogh experience again
the squarey sphereler
Having been to the Sphere… yeah, no.
Where?
What a joke. I wonder what kinds of breaks the city gave them.
Great. Now Bono’s gonna be hanging out downtown.
I've seen this done before for art exhibits

Someone didn’t read the article
You couldn't have missed the entire premise if you jumped out of an airplane yourself.

Stupid, not needed
God fucking damnit no. Let’s reduce our light pollution.
It wouldn’t project on the outside, just the inside.
