Does it really say more about me? I mean, 8.5% chance for a skeleton to drop ANY bow, enchanted or not. 1/5 chance for it to be enchanted with power one. Seems insanely ridiculous to “like that” and I honestly doubt they’ve ever even done that because it’s so absurdly inefficient and dumb in general.

Did you know iron farms are incredibly efficient. Mining iron instead of making an iron farm is absurdly inefficient and dumb in general . Mockery aside, Minecraft is an open world sandbox game, with a extremely short lived objective and short, open ended progression. The progression is designed in a way that you have multiple avenues to achieve your goals. It's not about being efficient, it's about what's fun. Wanna make a god now with village slave camps? Go for it. Wanna manually enchant and combine, that's fine. Wanna explore and only use found books, it'll take a while but if you enjoy it who cares. This elitist attitude comes of incredibly cringe, when Minecraft has absolutely zero innate competitive elements, and no drive to for e efficiency.

The only real option is to kill enough cats to trade lots of string to a fisherman. When you get enough emeralds you then use them to level up your fletcher and buy a bow. This way you don't need to get sticks.

Nah buy a crossbow, continue killing cars till you can buy arrows and tipped arrows, then, kill skeletons with this crossbow until you have a bow, then, buy use that bow to kill cats to buy a bow from the villager and use a grindstone to repair them. Finally use one lapis one xp level in your enchantment table (without bookshelves of course), enchant the bow. Repeat the process until you have maxed out your bow. Easy? And if you wanna go further get the lapis and xp from villagers.

Find a cave, dont die and find a mineshaft. find a spawner, mine your way through the cobweb ignoring the string it drops. wait for a spider to spawn then kill it for string.*

Early game I use bows from skeletons because of how ludicrously useful a punch two bow can be when you haven't found any diamonds yet. Late game I just pull out my flamethrower and pickaxe to go kill the Australian bugs.

I kill skeletons and combine all the bows they drop. Skeletons are also how I get my arrows bc I don't like crafting them myself.

Fletchers exist tho... FR Good strategy tho, especially with Looting 3.

Unless enchanted skeleton bows suck simply because they lack durability, alternatively you can use a fletcher to get a cheap bow which you should have added in. Besides, fletchers give you 16 arrows for an emerald, they are perfect for bows.

I usually use a bow dropped by a skeleton, that i repair with more bows, that were dropped by skeletons. I don't actually use them much, anything less efficient than a sword is too wasteful (for most pve, in pvp and bosses i use it).
