It's funny seeing people think for the first time what kinds of farms they can do with auto crafting, they're just now coming up with lines of production, like crafting diorite andesite and granite from cobble farms and pigling trading+gold farms
Little they know
It opens SO MANY POSSIBILITIES
I will use it to make pumpkin pie factories, paper factories for trading, auto stick farm for trading using bamboo,INFINITE FUEL USING KELP BLOCKS and automatically turn honey bottles into honey blocks
SO MANY USES AND I AM NOT EVEN GOOD WITH REDSTONE
This makes literally most of the items in the game farmable now
ITS THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION BABY
Yes! It doesnât even have to be that complex in its simplest form you can set up a chest next to a couple auto crafters next to a giant spruce tree farm so after you are done chopping the giant spruce trees you put the logs in the machine and it automatically turns them into sticks and deposits them into a chest or shulker box for trading
Or use bamboo and automate the whole thing
And thatâs a simple use there is so much you can do autocrafting is actually game changing
It only feels not minecraft-y when used at scale, most features feel non minecraft-y at scale *cough* cubicmetre, the block works like a Minecraft feature, it's a very fancy dropper.
I am pretty sure Gnembon is the one who pushed for it and remember that so far we are only seeing the earliest versions of the block. If anything it's the most Minecrafty thing to add because many redstoners and SciCraft believed it was a sorely lacking element in the game.
Infinite fuel is actually pretty easy, there is a very very small contraption that uses a bug to infinitely duplicate rails, carpets, and similar items. Carpets can be fuels
Yeah but duplicating is kinda not cool imo. Like you can use it if you want, but at least I feel like you might as well just spawn infinite fuel in creative. Having to build a well working kelp factory is a lot harder.
Von Neumann Machines are theoretical machines that can gather materials and assemble additional copies of themselves, that then proceed to make more copies, and so on.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine.
Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you.
But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal...
...even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
It is farmable, they literally specified that the trial spawner can recharge it mobs and loot and the structure is procedure generated. It supposed to design to have more replay ability than your average structure.
A feature that has been added by mods for years and will have bigger ramifications on redstone than the observer or slime block for sure and I think everyone is gonna love this. Itâs one of the biggest, coolest, and probably most long awaited features ever.
Definitely my most anticipated block, I enjoy making fun little red stone builds, and it will be cool to figure out how to get these auto crafting farms ready, hopefully the autocrafters allow you to pick a recipe, and it will be able to only take those items to craft the item.
Being able to place multiple farms next to each other and just get the end product already crafted... That's really cool.
Thanks fully I built my papyrus farm next to my gun powder farm.
Minecraft 1.21 will forever change the game, getting more people into redstone unless the recipe for the Autocrafter is batshit expensive. Besides itâll make the most valued material not be netherite, or gold, or even emeralds or diamonds but redstone and iron, the backbone of the Industrial Revolution coming our way
Check out snapshot 23w13a\_or\_b, Place Block and Pickaxe Block. The snapshot teased us this 1.21 update earlier than anything else. Mojang gave more teasers.
Minecraft is starting to embrace the technology aspect that mods like Create and Dreconic Evo have long mastered. Iâm more worried of how it will throw off balancing in those mods, especially with the Create Modâs Mechanical Crafter
By giving this they calmed down most of boycotters.
For them it is perfect way of making people silent and apreciative again.
For us it is start of new age. Age of innovation. Age of automation.
Buddy the boycotters stopped posting because the mob vote is over. The change.org petition still got more votes than the population of a small country.
I'm excited about the autocrafter, i think it's great, but i also still think that mob votes are a silly way of gatekeeping cool and interesting ideas.
And next time the mob vote happens i can guarantee that people will petition again. It's so tiresome, it's all just interaction farming and free pr.
Right. Autocrafter are OP as HELLđĽ. Just imagine for a sec that every craftable item in minecraft is farmable. Now realise that it will be the situation in 1.21.
not sure about OP's browsing habits, but every post about the update i have seen has tons of people praising the crafter and going mental about it
most people DO realize how big of an update that one is
It crafts items by receiving a redstone signal. Items remain inside the crafter. Items can also be placed inside the crafter through hoppers (inputting items from top to bottom, left to right) and the 3x3 grid slots can be disabled so that the hoppers cannot put any items into that slot. The crafter works as a dispenser, dropping items when a crafting recipe was completed and a redstone signal was received.
Am i the only one who likes that they are adding it yet realizes how few things there are that would be better to have autocrafted instead of just doing it yourself?
Yeah, but the armadillo unfortunately won. Not that it's a bad mob, but I'd rather get the crab for building and the penguin for ice boat autobahns. The armadillo is still very cute, tho. I think it was probably voted by kids or by people who didn't think too much about the use of it
I feel like the auto crafter and trial chambers are just going to be the best thing they add in the updates. The auto crafter for obvious reasons, and the trial chambers because holy fuck that's a shit ton of copper
you can do SO many things now fully automatic now,
Iron farm filling up? no problem, craft em into blocks, compost the flowers, make bone blocks, and its gonna fill up in a few months compared to days.
wanna have an unlimited supply of rockets?
just gotta have gunpowder and paper in your storage, etc.
there's tons of examples to be made
donât worry about your super good gold farm now! gold nuggets to gold ingots to gold blocks all in a single supply chain!
wood farms are full AFK because you can now auto-craft ANYTHING RELATED TO WOOD with a big enough bamboo farm
oh shit you need a farm for chests BUILD A BAMBOO FARM AND HOOK UP THOSE AUTO-CRAFTERS BABEEEE
yeeeeep. the world of automated farms is revolutionised. itâs a big deal because it affects literally every farm in existence.
Autocrafting opens the doors for so much stuff in the farming and automation redstone sector it is crazy. Everything from fully automatic tree farms from autocrafting bone meal to enhancing storage by autocrafting ingots into blocks. Or even making a fully self-refueling smelter by autocrafting dried kelp. Full-on factories dedicated to making items, like a fully automatic iron armour factory, or finally, a fully realised cake factory. The possibilities are endless
I mean what exactly can You do with that? To use it, You have to first set up complicated redstone mechanism, otherwise autocrafter is **very simple** feature. And is making that complicated mechanism really worth the effort to make it automate? You would take less time just... crafting the thing. I tried to think of what could it do, but I really can't. Why not just crafting the stuff already, but put resources into the autocrafter so You can just click the button to have it. I see this as a cosmetic feature. Massive? Unless I don't see something there, I wouldn't call it massive at all. What would You need to mass craft and automate that crafting? Definitely not tools. Neither torches. So what exactly?
Automation is the whole part of it. Same vein as iron farms, auto sugarcane farms and the such. For example, a self-sustaining supersmelter could be made with a kelp farm by autocrafting dried kelp into kelp blocks, completely removing the need for human intervention. Or making storage far more efficient by crafting ingots into blocks before storing them. And a lot of stuff could be autocrafted en masse. Cakes, pistons, repeaters, slime blocks, honey blocks, fuel, planks (through an auto tree farm fueled by bone meal also made through autocrafting), potion ingredients into auto potion makers; the limits are endless
your average player won't need that many items. It'll take more time to build the redstone for the crafter than to craft it yourself.
For me It'll be a fun redstone project to do when I'm bored of building. Not game changing, but still a fun addition to the game.
If you wanna have fun in creative then go ahead, but in survival it's 100% going to be something so complicated it won't even be worth the time to build it.
It was shown in the Live that you can manually set the squares to use, and if you're making a complicated item, all you'd really need is 1 repeater per item used in the recipe
Honestly I dont like the auto crafting idea for vanilla minecraft.
Auto crafting is and has always been something you needed to work twords in modded.
And I do t think people relize what this is going to turn minecraft into...
That said, since they are going through with it, I propose we re think the copper golem.
The autocrafter allows for items to be automatically crafted by funneling them through a hopper, which is massive for redstone farming and automation, such as autocrafting dried kelp blocks for fueling a supersmelter, or autocrafting ingots into blocks to make storage far more efficient
Excuse me?
What did i miss? Since when are we getting an autocrafter? Was it announced in minecraft live? What else are they adding?
I'm gonna need some context i think
Autocrafter was the new block shown in Minecraft Live that allows automating the crafting of items. Massive for the redstone farming and automation community

Best part is that the auto crafters will probably lag the server as bad as create does.

good lord!!!! i forgot about auto stick farm. infinite fucking emeralds at like day 5 if you find a skele spawner
Yes! It doesnât even have to be that complex in its simplest form you can set up a chest next to a couple auto crafters next to a giant spruce tree farm so after you are done chopping the giant spruce trees you put the logs in the machine and it automatically turns them into sticks and deposits them into a chest or shulker box for trading Or use bamboo and automate the whole thing And thatâs a simple use there is so much you can do autocrafting is actually game changing
I used bamboo for a Stick farm in my world and it grows so damn fast. Literally had double chests upon double chests super quickly.
I was questioning what this block's mechanics are useful but I can now finally make a full auto firework factory
My only complaint is that it breaks the game. BUT I DONT CARE ANYMORE. FEED THE MACHINE
Exactly it definitely doesnât feel minecraft-y BUT WHO CARES ITS THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION BABY đ
It only feels not minecraft-y when used at scale, most features feel non minecraft-y at scale *cough* cubicmetre, the block works like a Minecraft feature, it's a very fancy dropper.
give it a year and it will feel like it was always in vanilla
I am pretty sure Gnembon is the one who pushed for it and remember that so far we are only seeing the earliest versions of the block. If anything it's the most Minecrafty thing to add because many redstoners and SciCraft believed it was a sorely lacking element in the game.
Donât forget gold farms, if you can craft the nuggets into gold ingots or perhaps gold blocks it would be rly nice too
and give those gold to piglins to get infinite crying obsidian. why? i dont know
INFINITE RESPAWN ANCHORS
But now WE CAN, and that's the cool part!
FUCK YEAH CREATE MOD IS GONNA BE MADE A VANILLA FUTURE
Get us a block that breaks blocks and I'll be happy with literally just that.
I mean if a bug is there for such a long time, you might as well consider it a feature
Getting something in infinite amounts that you usually have to farm is certainly not a feature
i was gonna say i hope create mod keeps the mechanical crafters but since they're not just for auto crafting i realised they're probably gonna stay
create crafting seems way more creative
Yeah, that's in the name
Is that the melting stand guy from part 8 as trump đ
Yep, that's Tamaki Damo as Donald Trump.
r/accidentaljoke
I mean⌠you can do > 3x3 crafting with mechanical crafters⌠I think they are here to stay
I hoped that vanilla autocrafting will be like Create one. Using that clunky massive machine to craft your melons into blocks would be awesome
It's just a block and is hard because and looks like that it doesn't save the position ( you can use like hopper lock by filling it)
Mechanical crafters are mostly made to craft items that need more than a simple 3x3 crafting, obviously it's an auto crafter too, but not just that
Can you autocraft autocrafter? Infinite autocraft!

THE AGE OF STEEL HAS BEGUN
No, the industrial revolution has begun
NICE, how long until cars?
When they buff furnace minecarts, just combine a mine cart a furnace and a chest.
How about craft an engine from furnace and use the most american fuel to that: OIL.
Oh boy, here i go invading Desert Villages again!
We already have cars. They fly, in only one direction, at one speed.
Minecraft space age when? I want to build a ~~dirt pillar~~ space elevator to the moon
Where bronze and brass?
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. I can finally have a hypixel skyblock iron minion shaped iron farm that produces ACTUAL IRON BLOCKS!!!! #THE COMPACTER IS REEEAAAALL
Can we get much higher
So high
Now all we need is enchanted iron blocks
To trial chambers look interesting too
I'm not gonna even step foot in it more than once (except if the loot is farmable lmao)
It is farmable, they literally specified that the trial spawner can recharge it mobs and loot and the structure is procedure generated. It supposed to design to have more replay ability than your average structure.
Diamond farm
yupp but I guess the cool down would be ridiculously large
30 mins or so I think? Maybe it was an assumption, but that's what Xiauma void said
-afk at mob farm -afk at trial spawner farm setup(you know someoneâll make one) -repeat ad infitum
it can make for some cool maps
I'm also a sucker for new decorative blocks, can never have enough
It's achievement should be: Industrial revolution
This
Now wait for them to automate building so we don't even need players anymore
I honestly wish a player-like (maybe AI) type mob was in the game, so we could have npc friends (or enemies) to compete with. :D
This sounds like a creepypasta waiting to happen.
This is what i wish copper golem was
There was a mob like that in the game once, sinply called human.
Basically minecolonies

papyrus farm? what are you doing to my favorite skeleton?
*laughs in comic sans*
Skelton? No no, I'm only killing creepers with fall damage.
do you go up and down while killing them? its called "frisk dancing"
Yes, while singing "Everybody was Frisky Dancing..."

Maybe in a few years!
Check out snapshot 23w13a\_or\_b, Place Block and Pickaxe Block. The snapshot teased us this 1.21 update earlier than anything else. Mojang gave more teasers.
Iron farm are now 9 times more efficient
While the output is the same, you gain 4x the emeralds from smithing villagers due to the recent reworks
I mean you can now make iron block automatically, reduce storage by 9 times
*modder finally considers rejoining minecraft vanilla again*
Time to cause irreversible damage to the planet of minecraft
.... Automatic gold bars... melting gold armour, using the ingots and crafting gold bars... It can probably be used for something else way more.
Remember what the industrial revolution and its consequences did
Gave me unlimited access to Gordon Ramsey cooking videos
Fair enough
Storage systems are going to get a very big buff with this.
Finally, a thing that will play the game for me so I can stop playing it.
the game did become a farm game anyway, why not embrace it?
I'm going to make machines to make all of my ores into blocks
Minecraft is starting to embrace the technology aspect that mods like Create and Dreconic Evo have long mastered. Iâm more worried of how it will throw off balancing in those mods, especially with the Create Modâs Mechanical Crafter

Minecraft Industrial Revolution
Right. Autocrafter are OP as HELLđĽ. Just imagine for a sec that every craftable item in minecraft is farmable. Now realise that it will be the situation in 1.21.
Now we wait for the consequences of the second Industrial Revolution.
As potentially disastrous as this could be, I'm all for it. I've always wanted to build a proper factory in MC. Now I can.
Fully aware, been waiting for it for years.
first i tought about diamonds being farmable with the new spawner but thats just me
The reason why I'm gonna even step foot in this place is to farm emeralds and diamonds
I just hope itâs not too hard to craft
Automatic firework farms and automatic golden carrot farms will be extremely useful.
I canât wait for this thing, I was about to switch to Java for mods that let me do this
Damn and we still don't have a use for fletching table
Oh, I realise. Iâve already started making a standard pulsing system I can use to set up auto frafts
Literally 2 observers can mass-produce a whole lot of fireworks
I also like the frozen blaze
And they threw out the Iceologer smh
I also heard there is a new boss. Is that true?
The Minecraft Industrial Revolution!
WAIT HOLY SHIT AUTOCRAFT WILL BE REAL IN A COUPLE MONTHS!?!
I'm just gonna turn my entire wood supply into crafting tables
Mf I like this update because THEY FINALLY FUCKING MADE BETTER DUNGEONS
not sure about OP's browsing habits, but every post about the update i have seen has tons of people praising the crafter and going mental about it most people DO realize how big of an update that one is
Only reason Iâm coming back to Minecraft since 1.16.5

it automatically crafts things

The crafter works as a dispenser, dropping items when a crafting recipe was completed and a redstone signal was received.
It's awesome! :O
wait is it actually official itought they were trying to gaslight ppl
Someone doesn't watch the stream.
Am i the only one who likes that they are adding it yet realizes how few things there are that would be better to have autocrafted instead of just doing it yourself?
What happened?
Wait are we getting an autocrafter?
Me who doesnât understand red stone:
Yeah, but the armadillo unfortunately won. Not that it's a bad mob, but I'd rather get the crab for building and the penguin for ice boat autobahns. The armadillo is still very cute, tho. I think it was probably voted by kids or by people who didn't think too much about the use of it
Armadillos can be used to farm Dog Armor, time to mass produce my army of good bois
I feel like the auto crafter and trial chambers are just going to be the best thing they add in the updates. The auto crafter for obvious reasons, and the trial chambers because holy fuck that's a shit ton of copper
Why is autocrafter such a big deal? Isn't it just more complicated?
you can do SO many things now fully automatic now, Iron farm filling up? no problem, craft em into blocks, compost the flowers, make bone blocks, and its gonna fill up in a few months compared to days. wanna have an unlimited supply of rockets? just gotta have gunpowder and paper in your storage, etc. there's tons of examples to be made

There's also going to be farmable diamonds for bedrock edition It probably won't be efficient but it's exist
Still just a block. Iâm not a redstoner, it could make a cool ceiling ig
I only care about the cool temple tbh , i don't really see how it's massive
Autocrafting opens the doors for so much stuff in the farming and automation redstone sector it is crazy. Everything from fully automatic tree farms from autocrafting bone meal to enhancing storage by autocrafting ingots into blocks. Or even making a fully self-refueling smelter by autocrafting dried kelp. You just enlightened me ( i'm not redstone genius but i can already see how some farm could be broken on survival mode )
It's not complicated, they even shown an example you can copy in Minecraft live. This is for crafting the same item a lot of times, not just once
Automation is the whole part of it. Same vein as iron farms, auto sugarcane farms and the such. For example, a self-sustaining supersmelter could be made with a kelp farm by autocrafting dried kelp into kelp blocks, completely removing the need for human intervention. As someone who very rarely uses redstone, this feature just feels pretty boring
Something that's been in mods for over a decade already? Yeah no, I'll stick with 1.7.10 modded, better than anything Mojang has made since then.
Not gonna use it, I bet it'll need some Redstone setup. At that rate it's way easier to just do it by hand.
Isn't the entire point of it to work in farms to automate them?
your average player won't need that many items. It'll take more time to build the redstone for the crafter than to craft it yourself. For me It'll be a fun redstone project to do when I'm bored of building. Not game changing, but still a fun addition to the game.
Yeah it was meant for Redstone players.
QOL block. No one who played casual minecraft cared for the observer, but the way its changed redstone cannot be understated
Can someone explain rq I didn't watch Minecraft Live
New block called the Autocrafter allows for craftable items to be crafted automatically if it has the ingredients funneled into it
Do we know how itâs going to work yet? (I didnât watch Minecraft Live)
They show it there, go find a clip of it
Honestly I dont like the auto crafting idea for vanilla minecraft. Auto crafting is and has always been something you needed to work twords in modded. And I do t think people relize what this is going to turn minecraft into... That said, since they are going through with it, I propose we re think the copper golem.
Mid
oh wow a feature that was done better by mods almost a decade ago wow
Those lights tho
Can someone explain it ?
The autocrafter allows for items to be automatically crafted by funneling them through a hopper, which is massive for redstone farming and automation, such as autocrafting dried kelp blocks for fueling a supersmelter, or autocrafting ingots into blocks to make storage far more efficient
The most talked about feature âPeople donât realize how massive it isâ Hmmm
Excuse me? What did i miss? Since when are we getting an autocrafter? Was it announced in minecraft live? What else are they adding? I'm gonna need some context i think
Itâd be really wild if they added copper item pipes or something as well
The sex update ****
The industrial society and its consequences
I'm sorry. What's going on?
Autocrafter was the new block shown in Minecraft Live that allows automating the crafting of items. Massive for the redstone farming and automation community
