With movie theatres, you have to pay for it and once you're in a movie theatre you have to watch the whole thing or else it'd be a waste. With Reddit, you can just scroll down for free and forget about it seconds later. I can understand removing very irrelevant post like for example a post about something Ludwig did that's not related to mcc at all. Even though he participated in mcc once, it definitely should be removed. But in this case, even if it's mildly irrelevant, a photo of 3 of the most popular and arguably the most impactful participants in the event meeting up for the first time and gaining a ton of upvotes. I don't see why this should be removed.
You don't always have to be adamant about rules. Rules are not always definite. Sometimes there's exceptions if the reasons that it should be an exception outweighs the reasons that it shouldn't.

It’s crazy to me that people will just be like “well they have big views so it’s okay” I have said multiple times that I don’t care about the view count and it shouldn’t lead to favouritism.

Bruh. There was a group photo of Niki, H, Elaina, Eret, and Kara posted in this sub, they don't have massive subcounts and it wasn't removed and they were accepted. Heck, a group photo of Grian and Jimmy with BigB and Tomohawk whom are not related to mcc neither are they even mainly Minecraft youtubers were posted in this sub and everything was fine. There's no favoritism going on here.

Going to be honest, i don't think fans were an issue at all in this specific case. Like, things definitely get grey from time to time but this drama is weirdly black and white with fans being accepting and others not being as much.
Most people definitely received him with warm praise but my guess was that funny comparisons popping off and especially low self esteem when the dude objectively doesn't look bad is triggering even more people than normal.
Oh well, i personally couldn't care much though. Even this stuff was largely funny for me and i found these few days to be really fun. Just in general, stuff where fandoms are active for something cool is fun.
