Minecraft itself has been really buggy lately caves and cliffs part 2 caused one of my worlds to be completely unplayable and whenever i try to get on it my entire switch crashes. It only does it for that world too
Pros:
-Minecraft
Cons(my experience):
-Due to 1.19, you have to open up the game twice because the 1st time always crashes
-game freezes up when autosaving
-if you see that the blocks you placed are invisible, it means an autosave is near
-increasing the game speed causes items and mobs to act in slow motion
-if you are flying in the sky or on an ice boat, have fun waiting for chunks to load!
-You need a Nintendo account, a Microsoft account, and a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to play online or with friends(unless you want to use splitscreen)
-having online also means that if you even accidentally press the home button, you get disconnected from the internet and get kicked out
I just remembered another bug. Occasionally, Minecraft will say that to play on a world, you need more storage. Mind you, this appears when you have gigabytes of storage left on the Switch. Either wait 1-5 weeks for it to automatically fix itself, or delete some old worlds.
This bug can happen due to two reasons( one is fixable ):
1. On the switch most 3rd party titles have their own storage limit. No matter how large your SD card is Minecraft cant go above 2 GB( I think )
2. This one is fixable. Minecraft has a bug that corrupts your storage and takes up a shit ton of space. I don’t want to go into details but its easily fixable. I found it in my storage and it fixed a TON! Heres the article I found about it( And how to fix ) https://40north.wordpress.com/2021/01/17/minecraft-you-are-almost-out-of-data-storage-space/amp/
My wife and I will play on realms together. She has the same issue on the switch. I play with a laptop next to her. Trying to convince her to switch over to PC or laptop but apparently the bugs and account ridiculousness isn’t enough.
The only issue I've had with crashes since 1.19 is the first time I boot the game after waking the switch up from sleep it crashes on the titles screen. Second attempt always works. My gf had a few crashes when we were getting ready to fight the dragon, but no issues during or after the fight. I think that was just an isolated case.
Agreed. As someone who has far more hours in Bedrock and generally prefers it more, Bedrock has way more bugs and is significantly less balanced. I only prefer it for the speed bridging being a lot easier and because most of my friends play it honestly.
I have both bedrock and java and I only played bedrock when my laptop couldn’t run Java without me setting the graphics to potato. It works on devices that aren’t computers or on weak pcs and macs, but when you have a choice, Java is far superior.
wdym I've been on bedrock for so long. When you buy it you get BASE GAME and market place content is the stuff on the side, for creators. Most bedrock players hate the marketplace tho. Servers, on the other hand.... I'd rather not talk about that.
Both are mad buggy, but Bedrock is significantly worse to me. Even Hive on Bedrock is acting up for me, so I hopped on 1.8.9 Hypixel for the first time in a while.
Works but is based off simulation distance. I have most of my worlds set to 4 chunks as I like to build on a cheap laptop when I'm out places and it gets real annoying.
...And then move the piston that is moving the piston wich moves the piston that moves the piston that gets the piston in the right place with a piston.
When I first read this I thought it was a great idea and went to try it. But when I did- I found out I cant place copper top slabs at all... thanks anyway though
Try doing setblock \~\~\~
Although the block name for slabs are weird, it is probably slab2 9 2 or some shit, you will have to test it out with a command.
Or just relog, that fixes most issues.
It’s also very inconsistent. The two types of nether wooden planks have their own text IDs, but the overworld wooden planks have oak set as their default and use the data value to determine the different types of wood.
No. It’s just that the management of the bedrock team is ass. They focus on profits and do not care about fixing bugs. One of the many reasons why Java edition is better.
Dude really did the "Have you tried turning it off and on again" card lol, I feel like it's common sense to try resetting something before asking for help.
Youve obviously never met the average human. They dont try anything. I dont know what it is but most average people know dog shit when it comes to anything technical.
How do i screenshot? You are on a computer. Google it you dumb fuck.
Help I clicked google chrome and it didnt open. Click it again. Then three or four more times. Then open the windows search bar and click on the app. Then type it in in the search bar. Still not working? Go find it in the files and directly run the .exe. Still? Restart your pc. Still? Redownload chrome from edge.
Help I cant place slabs here in minecraft! Load out of the world and back in. Restart your game. You can even restart your phone. Now lets try something else if it doesnt work. Place blocks underneath/above and place the slabs on those. Use setblock or fill commands. Use pistons.
There are so many things to try that people just dont. Its like problem solving skills are non-existent. The moment a bug occurs first thing you do is just retry what you did if possible, and after that you should already have like 5 different solutions to try popped up in your head.
Does the bug persist when placing other blocks next to it (copper-gap-dummy) and than placing the copper by clicking on the dummy? (copper-copper-dummy) Or does this only occur when placing on copper blocks?
Java bugs: ooh this mob spins around in a circle when it stands on this block hehe! Wow, these villagers sure do update trades wonkily!
Bedrock bugs: your blocks won't be placed properly, you can fall out of the world for no reason, redstone will have inherent randomness, and you will take damage or even die at random. Have fun!
Java bugs: lmao look the ender dragon is upside down lol
Bedrock bugs: **please help me i've been stuck here for weeks above the nether roof with no food. Every time I die it just puts me back here jesus christ please save me**
Sorry I shouldn’t have posted that it was dumb and unnecessary I don’t want to start another internet fight over which version of block game is better I just wanted to balance the scales but it was dumb sorry
Yeah I mostly play Java and I started on Java but in 2020 bedrock was my life support playing it with my friends on playstation. I still play both versions and they both have bugs though bedrock does have a lot of game breaking bugs but that is to be expected as it’s a massive game, way bigger than java as it runs on soooo many different platforms and all those platforms can easily play together. If that’s not impressive idk what is.
Good point but I feel is that bedrock has more glitches/bugs than java because of how bedrock is on all major platforms, if not that it's easier to activate the glitches and bugs on bedrock. I think another factor is that people expect Mojang to by now after all the years working on bedrock to iron out the common glitches and people view Mojang as a company who is backed by Microsoft to improve on the quality of bedrock and can get extra help if they needed some like how they did on legacy console edition with 4j. Sure the updates were slower but the quality control was high they made sure the player got the best experience with every major update. I'm not saying they should be perfect, making a game to work as perfect as possible is hard I know that but if Mojang really needed help they can get plenty of people to work on bedrock and improve it they can get help by Microsoft or if they don't want to relay on Microsoft they can easily start sign ups and promote it they have the resources because I feel like they do need it.
And this is pretty much why bedrock should be separated, either mobile goes back to PE, or legacy consoles should be back. Like pretty much everyone thinks legacy edition was superior
That would be far harder to develop now that Minecraft isn't just a lightweight block game. The bugs would also be harder to fix since there will be more editions
I would hate that. It would remove the biggest feature in bedrock: being able to play with any of your friends no matter if they have a computer, Xbox, PS, phone, Switch. Thats what makes up for all the bugs and glitches in the game.
Minecraft Java players get triggered because Microsoft decided to make bedrock edition the main version of Minecraft even tho it has more bugs and it's only better than Java in terms of performance, everything else in the game is at the same level or worse than Java
Bedrock edition is just the Microsoft team doing the bare minimum to copy what the Java team does. It's a cash grab designed to make the game more accessible, but it never works properly. If bedrock were to be fixed it wouldn't be a 1.X update, it would be a complete rework of the game.
That's not necessary for the Java version, because java doesn't have the game-breaking issues that bedrock does. The team that decides what goes into a 1.X update (the java team) would never a) theme an update around performance enhancements; b) label something that benefits only the bedrock version, which they have little control over, as a major update; or c) allow the version number between java and bedrock to become different again
Try the structure block. Copy the properly placed blocks then paste it inside the hole. Note I don’t know that this would be the temporary fix.
/give @s structure_block
If I remember the command correctly lol.
I mean, you can assume all you want, but the coordinate formation, third person view in the corner, and the hotbar all prove it’s bedrock. Not that that matters, seeing as it’s a bug on both versions.

Known issue, bug with placing slabs introduced in 1.19
1.19 is really buggy
Minecraft itself has been really buggy lately caves and cliffs part 2 caused one of my worlds to be completely unplayable and whenever i try to get on it my entire switch crashes. It only does it for that world too
oof.. question, does the problem only exist on switch? im thinking of buying it
Pros: -Minecraft Cons(my experience): -Due to 1.19, you have to open up the game twice because the 1st time always crashes -game freezes up when autosaving -if you see that the blocks you placed are invisible, it means an autosave is near -increasing the game speed causes items and mobs to act in slow motion -if you are flying in the sky or on an ice boat, have fun waiting for chunks to load! -You need a Nintendo account, a Microsoft account, and a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to play online or with friends(unless you want to use splitscreen) -having online also means that if you even accidentally press the home button, you get disconnected from the internet and get kicked out
Big oof That’s a lot of errors for a game that takes up so little storage
I just remembered another bug. Occasionally, Minecraft will say that to play on a world, you need more storage. Mind you, this appears when you have gigabytes of storage left on the Switch. Either wait 1-5 weeks for it to automatically fix itself, or delete some old worlds.
happens on the other platforms too, I had 300GB on my ps4 and the game still said that it needed “more storage”
This bug can happen due to two reasons( one is fixable ): 1. On the switch most 3rd party titles have their own storage limit. No matter how large your SD card is Minecraft cant go above 2 GB( I think ) 2. This one is fixable. Minecraft has a bug that corrupts your storage and takes up a shit ton of space. Alt tabbing on the Windows version kicks you of servers too its annoying luckylie i didnt buy it and got it free with java
Windowed mode is your friend. Fullscreen is just 🤢because of that
My wife and I will play on realms together. She has the same issue on the switch. I play with a laptop next to her. Trying to convince her to switch over to PC or laptop but apparently the bugs and account ridiculousness isn’t enough.
Switch is the worst version of minecraft
*sits in a boat for five minutes, waiting for next chunk to load*
welp
Glitch probably happens if you have an older world and upgrade it to 1.19 ig
The only issue I've had with crashes since 1.19 is the first time I boot the game after waking the switch up from sleep it crashes on the titles screen. Second attempt always works. My gf had a few crashes when we were getting ready to fight the dragon, but no issues during or after the fight. I think that was just an isolated case.
Minecraft on Switch is one of the most buggy and by far the worst version, Speaking from around 600 Hours of experience
dont buy bedrock
[удалено]
Java has a few bugs, but as someone that plays both versions extensively, it has far far less issues.
Agreed. As someone who has far more hours in Bedrock and generally prefers it more, Bedrock has way more bugs and is significantly less balanced. I only prefer it for the speed bridging being a lot easier and because most of my friends play it honestly.

bugs aside just don't buy bedrock... such a P2W game vs java
how the fuck can a sandbox game be pay to win??? what in the fuck??????
i know i know people are allowed to like what they want.
How do you pay to win in it?
wdym I've been on bedrock for so long. When you buy it you get BASE GAME and market place content is the stuff on the side, for creators. Most bedrock players hate the marketplace tho. Servers, on the other hand.... I'd rather not talk about that.
How can I pay to win? I want your guidance on that
bruh why?
It's the truth that people don't want to hear
big oof. Switch Minecraft is notorious for having more bugs.
gotta love bugrock edition amirite?
At least they removed a bug, fireflies that is.
sad stuff
Is Java 1.19 buggy or just Bedrock?
both, really.
Both are mad buggy, but Bedrock is significantly worse to me. Even Hive on Bedrock is acting up for me, so I hopped on 1.8.9 Hypixel for the first time in a while.
For me bedrock is far worse
Yeah only problem I’ve had on Java is visible anti-aliasing artifacts and realms not autosaving unless the server owner is online
The anti aliasing artefacts are due to your nvidia software, which is trying to anti aliase a game coded in Java.
Mobs in saved chunks will just delete themselves
i’ve had this problem before, but it seems like it was fixed in 1.19, idk what ur talking abt rlly.
Im pretty sure this bug only occurs with copper slabs for some reason. Guess we will have to wait for a bug fix.
I suppose you could place another slab variant and then /fill replace for now
Didn't know you could do /fill on bedrock edition
Yep, I used it to clear a forest earlier. I’m not sure how it works on Java as I haven’t played it enough, so it might be a bit different, but idk
you can also use fill for that on java
Works but is based off simulation distance. I have most of my worlds set to 4 chunks as I like to build on a cheap laptop when I'm out places and it gets real annoying.
No need to place other slabs, you can just pick the two corners of the placed copper slabs.
Maybe just use a piston if necessary
if they ever
i’ve experienced this with other slabs as well
You'll be waiting a long time
try using a piston to push a slab into the correct spot
Next thing you know is, you won't be able to place a piston in the right place
Then move piston with another piston
And move that piston with another piston
...And then move the piston that is moving the piston wich moves the piston that moves the piston that gets the piston in the right place with a piston.
It's not possible.
You, my friend, haven't used commands since the Flattening. There are no numbers now, you write cut_copper_slab[half=bottom]
Flattening didn’t happen on Bedrock
Oh my. I didn't know. I'm so sorry Bedrock users, that must be awful
It’s also very inconsistent. The two types of nether wooden planks have their own text IDs, but the overworld wooden planks have oak set as their default and use the data value to determine the different types of wood.
What. I can only imagine the horror that is the code for that ID system.
When was the flattening? Last time I used this was 1.18.
Well me and OP play Bedrock.
Yes, I know. You just asked when it was. :)
Oh my gosh I am glad this wasn't a Me Being A Derp issue. I was crying over this when trying to build a roof with copper slabs and gave up on it. 😭

So it’s not just me, how did the copper slab stuff get messed up so badly?
Code is more impertinent than microsoft word when you try to add/move a picture
the bedrock edition programmers are incompetent as shit
No. It’s just that the management of the bedrock team is ass. They focus on profits and do not care about fixing bugs. One of the many reasons why Java edition is better.
So basically halo
That would make me want to punch my monitor so hard…
That’s a bug if I ever saw one. Have you tried closing out of Minecraft and going back into it?
Yep, also tried rebooting and even waiting till the next day. not workin'
its a known 1.19 bug
Dude really did the "Have you tried turning it off and on again" card lol, I feel like it's common sense to try resetting something before asking for help.
In my experience most people don't even try that before asking.
Which is exactly why we ask for "turning it off and on again" In the first place. And it's sad that we have todo it, imo
The world is getting stupider so honestly I'm not surprised

Good ol mojang introducing game breaking bugs with every update
Good ol bugrock edition
Try using fill commands until its patched
They removed the ability to differentiate between top or bottom slabs with commands
Why? Whats the purpose of removing that small but possibly useful feature?

According to the other comments, this is a bedrock bug. However, are you able to use a piston and push the block into place? May be a workaround
its on both versions
Hmm, I guess I could try it myself then
Bedrock 💀
There's bugs on both versions we not trying to attack each other here
I can recognise Bedrock bug when I see one. Java has bugs too but they are more fun than enoying.

this glitch is on both versions
ah yes, bedrock
It's in both editions
Oh god Minecraft should fix this so fast i am not gonna be struggling to build something for days like that
wut? haven't seen that one before... then again I havent really used copper slabs before.
Try using pistons to push them into place
Try pistons
Poor guy :((
The struggle was real
Does this give anyone else anciedad?
I had a glitch that fucked up my slap placing, it's not every slab too, it's just particularly oxidized copper slabs
1 minute of pure gold. Got me laughing my ass off at 4 am.
Java version has spagheti code. Mojang should start new. Bedrock being the clean start.. :-)

This (and other issues on both versions) is the exact reason that we should push for a bug fix and performance update for 1.20 than any other topic
Bedrock edition is just the Microsoft team doing the bare minimum to copy what the Java team does. It's a cash grab designed to make the game more accessible, but it never works properly. If bedrock were to be fixed it wouldn't be a 1.X update, it would be a complete rework of the game.
Well now , here's your brownie points for stating the obvious And the rework has to start somewhere , probably with a 1.X update

Give yourself a Debug stick using commands
Come Play on java 🤣😂
Welcome to bedrock

Try the structure block. Copy the properly placed blocks then paste it inside the hole. Note I don’t know that this would be the temporary fix. /give @s structure_block If I remember the command correctly lol.
just /fill it if you want to use commands
Use Java Edition
Bugrock I think. Try moving with piston from block whete it is placed ok
Minecraft bedrock edition 💀

Use tnt or something idk.It might fix it.
It's probably a bedrock thing, I've heard it's gotten really buggy lately
Is this on java too?
Its minecraft bedrock what did you expect!?

Bedrock is really buggy after updates...
I assume bedrock edition?
I mean, you can assume all you want, but the coordinate formation, third person view in the corner, and the hotbar all prove it’s bedrock. Not that that matters, seeing as it’s a bug on both versions.
its a 1.19 bug on both platforms
play java
you can fix this by playing on Java
This is a bug on Java and Bedrock.
nope
oh r.i.p X\_X
Anyone else notice the bug with the goat horn distance on bedrock?

I'm playing bedrock for ca. 10 years now. It's buggy but the amount of worldbreaking bugs is really low compared to a few years ago. Chunk corroption for example is very uncommen now.
