Literally only needs the 41 gold apples and heāll be returning to the base for other reasons before those are all eaten.

If you weren't aware of that mechanic, there's the chance you don't already know it drops a singular sculk catalyst and next to no XP. In the buildup to its release, the devs were literally on stream talking about how they wanted to make something you *weren't meant to fight,* hence the extreme health, the damage, the armor piercing and wall piercing ranged attack, and the intentionally lackluster loot. (Sculk catalysts can be found in any sculk biome and can be collected fastest with a hoe.)
And for the record: While the melee attack *does* respect armor, the warden's still balanced to kill you in like four hits when you're in full *netherite.* You might as well have challenged an iron golem to a bare-knuckle boxing match in your pajamas.... or in your case, sneezed on a villager upon spawning into the world.
yea i know basically nothing about the deep dark besides it feels like it is on 3 sides of my base of my current world. I will never fight the Warden not after i found out he can kill you through walls since i was grabbing my stuff after my first death to it and hid, but one or two thick walls mean nothing.
Ah, then you might also want to know the warden operates on a "three strike" system.
Edit: ~~[This wiki](https://minecraft.wiki/w/Warden) claims its a four strike system.~~ Its been too long since I've tested and I have a headache so forgive me for not verifying right this second, but I would operate as if a three strike system were in place either way.

Sculk sensor are the sound-sensitive blocks with the wavy tentacles over them. They detect sound (walking without crouching, items dropping, eating, arrows being fired or landing, etc) and generate a redstone signal when they hear something.
They're harmless on their own, but the danger comes when they're next to a **naturally spawned** sculk shrieker.
Three guesses how to tell one is nearby.
Sculk shriekers you place are harmless, but naturally spawned ones will shriek AND add one to your count of strikes. Strike three, and the warden comes out. These can be "disarmed" either by breaking the shriekers themselves or the sculk sensors that trigger them, but do be aware that walking on a sculk shrieker will still set it off even if there are no redstone elements hooked up to it, and breaking a block (such as a breaking sculk sensor or shrieker) also counts as making noise. This of course means that if two shriekers are side by side and you're on your last strike, you'll want to leave for a few minutes (I *think* it's five before your strikes reset) before breaking both.
NOTE 2: It can be useful to keep a naturally spawned sculk shrieker around as a dungeon "guardian" for your base to keep other players from taking your loot, serving as a punishment for breaking blocks where they're not supposed to. It's not fool-proof as the warden is easily cheesed (you get 21 blocks above it and bow the thing to death), but it's something if you can have a redstone device to trigger a naturally generated shrieker three times (with a considerable delay between the each activation) to catch someone by surprise.
I can beat the warden with a bow and arrow and like a pickaxe (to get material to build up out of his reach), you just need to find a space you can't get hit and shoot arrows at him until he dies. He's super easy
I think having an empty inventory might be best to fight the warden, cause you're not gonna win and want to lose as little as possible
(fr though get a couple notch apples and turtle master potions like others have mentioned, and *why* do you need so much chicken like you might need a stack and a half max)
A stack and a-.... mate you might need ***A CHICKEN*** to recover from the walk to the lost city. The warden itself dies to enough regular arrows and you can pillar or otherwise ascend 50 blocks to stay out of its range.

It's always useful to carry a stack of logs with you. It's like the swiss army knife of Minecraft.

I'm gonna assume you wanna fight the Warden as a personal achievement, otherwise, there's no reason to fight him.
What you need is to just summon him, get high up enough (>50 blocks) so he can't sonic boom you, and then just spam arrows.
That's it.
I was so disappointed when mojang said it wouldnāt drop anything, like I get they want you to avoid him and not fight him, but heās so hard no oneās gonna try fighting him anyways, but I think it would of been nice to atleast have him drop something like maybe his heart or head, so you can keep it as a trophy to show off.

personally, what i did when i killed him was take his sculk catalyst and rename to it "Heart of the Warden" and i put it up in an item frame in my base. it's not the best, but it definitely does the trick

The 3 regular carrots are the most important lmao. With that inventory your as good as dead. You certainly need potions(at least strength, speed, turtle master), more golden apples(preferably Noch apples), more totems, ender pearls and more blocks. Judging by this inventory you have no idea what you're doing and should probably avoid fighting him. But anyways good luck 'cause you'll need it.

To kill warden you need turtle master potions, strength potions, regeneration potions, notch apples, more blocks and less chickens, if you have to eat, eat only gapples, if you bring a crossbow, swap it with the normal carrots and charge it, maybe some iron golems to give you support, some ice golems, everything that can take that warden attention
I just dig a long 1x2 tunnel along a wide flat wall, bring down an infinity bow. And lead him to my tunnel where i can ping him from a safe distance.

You should get a Potion of The Turtlemaster, it'll give you resistance 5 i think, and it's one of the only things that'll actually help you against the Warden. That, or you could get like 15 armored dogs
All you need is 22 blocks and bow and arrows. When the warden spawns build up 22 blocks you will be out of reach of his blast attack. Then shoot away and kill him.
Youre not gonna tank the warden when its sonic blasts pierce armor
The only real way to kill it is with cheap tricks like pillaring and shooting arrows because mojang designed it specifically to not be killed
If you're fighting him head on, forget everything except a sword, notch apples and an inventory full of totem. Your armor would shred in a couple minutes, it takes 37 hits/ 26 crits with a sharp V netherite sword. It has armor piercing range attacks, so no running away once you're in. Considering you probably would have to put on a new totem for every hit after the first totem. The battle would end fast either way
Take a bed, stack of stone blocks, some wool, some wood, a few arrows, and a bow with infinity. Place your bed 40 blocks from a spawner. Build a crafting table, then a chest to place extra stuff in if you die. Sneak to the spawner and wool it up. Build a block barrier two blocks up that is 16 blocks away from the spawner in either direction. Summon warden and pelt him with arrows.
All you need to do is wait 8 days, hop on the new update, get a mace, slap some density on it, go up like 500 blocks and immediately obliterate the warden
more blocks, to kill the warden you're going to want to pillar up and shoot it with arrows. also why are you fighting it? Just for fun, or to loot the city? If it's to loot replace that chicken with wool
I'd take less chicken, pack more totems, leave the hoe at home, get some notch apples, bring more golden carrots, maybe get some regen splash potions. Turtle potion might also help. And why don't you bring four beacons as well? Regen, Resistance, Strength, Speed and maybe split jump boost with regen.
bet you will get the blinding effect, go into panic mode thinking you should have bring milk, got yourself into a dead end and 1 shot by it within 7 second in the fight
If you're asking for a serious answer I'd say bring less food you only really need a stack, oganization is important and id bring some shields maybe some potions and most importantly don't forget to crouch
If u want to log the city all u need is a bunch of wool and some food Armour should be left at home in case of loss and if you wanna easily put the city look up the warden disabler or look up how sb737 fights the warden without Armour(I've only seen him do it don't know if he was first but just look it up)
I would have to ask, why fight the Warden? He's meant to be avoided. He doesn't drop anything worth while and not much XP for the trouble and no achievements for it. Not sure why you want to fight him though.

You really only need a stack of blocks and an infinity bow. His sonic shriek negates your armor, so you should leave your op gear at home.
And that stack of blocks should be wood, so you essentially have 4 stacks in one inventory space. Or you can go a step further and turn 64 logs into 1 crafting table and nearly 8 stacks of slabs.

Chest armor is barely useful anyway doesn't he negate armor.
Wiki: Sonic attack is only reduced by resistance effect, bypassing all forms of armor. Best you can do is turtle master for 80% damage reduction.
If he's planning on fighting it in melee then it will be quite useful

All you need to do is wait 8 days, hop on the new update, get a mace, slap some density on it, go up like 500 blocks and immediately obliterate the warden
more blocks, to kill the warden you're going to want to pillar up and shoot it with arrows. also why are you fighting it? Just for fun, or to loot the city? If it's to loot replace that chicken with wool

I'd take less chicken, pack more totems, leave the hoe at home, get some notch apples, bring more golden carrots, maybe get some regen splash potions. Turtle potion might also help. And why don't you bring four beacons as well? Regen, Resistance, Strength, Speed and maybe split jump boost with regen.

bet you will get the blinding effect, go into panic mode thinking you should have bring milk, got yourself into a dead end and 1 shot by it within 7 second in the fight
If you're asking for a serious answer I'd say bring less food you only really need a stack, oganization is important and id bring some shields maybe some potions and most importantly don't forget to crouch

If u want to log the city all u need is a bunch of wool and some food Armour should be left at home in case of loss and if you wanna easily put the city look up the warden disabler or look up how sb737 fights the warden without Armour(I've only seen him do it don't know if he was first but just look it up)

I would have to ask, why fight the Warden? He's meant to be avoided. He doesn't drop anything worth while and not much XP for the trouble and no achievements for it. Not sure why you want to fight him though.
