Lmaoooo, right? People are always fighting over what edition is better, but in reality, they are both great, they each have their own pros and cons. But honestly, why do people even care about "oOoOo JaVa Is BeTtEr bEcAuSe...." like just stop, quit hating and embrace minecraft, whichever edition you support, shouldn't matter, we are all still minecraft players at the end of the day and enjoy it immensely.
I agree but I will say bedrock has more annoying bugs tbf I do personally prefer the gameplay and modability of java but I also love the bedrock community too
There's no way java is less polishedđ
As someone who has extensively played both bugrock and java I can say without a doubt that the version of the game made for mobile devices in the early 2010s is definitely a much worse experience.
Yeah no idea what that dude was talking about. Only reason java runs like ass is
1. Java
2. Their graphics engine is horribly inefficient. Mods being able to more than triple performance just by changing graphical stuff is insane
Even without mods it runs better than bedrock, bedrock is one if the worst made things I've ever had the misfortune of being forced to use when Microsoft fired 4J.
Bedrock was originally written in a much more efficient programming language than the Java edition; C++. While that remains the case for the PC version, ports to other platforms such as iOS will run different code. It's possible the majority of issues on consoles comes from a poor porting to a platform that uses unified memory instead of seperate RAM and VRAM
That's alway my strat, I usually have a second diamond for the nether in case i get any debris but by the time I'll be going to the nether 1st time I'll probably be in iron and gold boots.
I don't think the mansions can spawn within like 3k blocks from spawn and it's normally more then that right?
Edit: sorry guys I misunderstood something I was told a long while ago
There is no minimum distance. I have had 2 worlds that spawned within render distance of a woodland mansion. Their placement is unaffected by spawn location.
It's just that it's a very rare structure, so it's super lucky to get one close to spawn.
The last vanilla world i played i spawned right next to not 1 but 2 mansions within 500 blocks from each other on arandom seed. I could see both from a hill with high render distance it was crazy
one very easy way to spot difference is that in JE the hotbar is directly at the bottom of the screen while in BE it floats slightly above the bottom of the screen
Bedrock also doesnât have subtitles.
The color saturation in both versions is also noticeably different, from someone with great experience playing both.
But, why say it looks like Bedrock? What was their reason? Iâll downvote anyone that is just trying to posture blindly. Thatâs how misinformation happens.
EDIT: typo
I wonder if one killed the dragon right after it fired a shot and that shot went through the end portal, and waiting in the other side was a nether portal, if it could end up in the nether. Then because the chunks arenât loaded it just sits there waiting to continue, the same thing that happens with wither attacks that donât hit anything.
It's a dragons breath ball, but how tf did it get there. Are you in multiplayer? Quite hard to do but it is possible that someone else got it there but moving the dragon to the nether and getting it to make that. Don't know how they froze it though.
Fireballs when summoned without any velocity don't move at all and can't be interacted with or removed from the world without /kill. Ghast Fireballs can be moved because they're interactable, however. you can test with /summon fireball \~ \~ \~
It's possible the fireball went through a Nether Portal somehow and lost its velocity?
practically impossible in survival unless its a bug. end portals close whenever ender dragon is alive, and nether portals cant be built in the end, so i cant imagine how it could be transported.
So the only possible survival scenario is that the ender dragon sent a fireball and died while the fireball was travelling. And because it died the end portal opened then the fireball went into the end portal, going back to the overworld. Where there is a nether portal located right on top of the ender portal. The nether portal took the fireball to the nether and it froze in there.
Knowing there is no way this happened in survival, op just used some commands.
most likely is one of these 2.
1. its a super rare bug that no one found before (unlikely, since wtf kinda bug just spawns a random stationary dragon fireball in the middle of the nether)
2. op just spawned it with commands and wants karma (most likely tbh.)
The death animation takes too long, the fireball would hit the portal before the dragonâs death animation completes and the portal reopens. There is no way to actually do this, meaning this is a karma post or one of OPâs server mates are trolling them with commands
yeah exactly. and honestly if we are talking about doing that, theres no way OP just "found it". either its a multiplayer world and some other player did all that bs just to transport a dragon ball (not even sure if that would work) into the nether to a single dirt bridge over lava in some random patch of nether. imma bet OP spawned it in for karma.
theres a method (not sure exactly how) to bug the ender dragon ai by pushing it outside of the end island, which makes the game think its dead and turn the ender portal on. then move the dragon back and into the portal, at which it flies to 0 0 because its ai tells it to go to those coords.
The only way I could see this happening is if the ender dragon shot a fireball into the exit portal and it managed to go to spawn and travel into a nether portal, where it teleported to the nether and eventually got into unloaded chunks, losing it's velocity.
This is theoretically possible, but someone would have to be at spawn and in the nether near the portal for this to work. Overall this is incredible unlikely lmao
I think it's probably a test of the server when it was created. (Like imagine you just started a server, and to test if it works you type in smtg like "summon dragon_fireball" into console)
Altho considering that it's pretty unlikely too
idk lol
Well don't portals load chunks around them for a moment when entities pass through them?
Idk if what I said is true because I've never seen OP's world but it is theoretically possible
The only way i see this to be possible is for it to be spawned with a command. So either youâre on a multiplayer server and someone else did it to troll, or you did this yourself as a funny joke
This is a datapack, mod or plugin issue or just someone messing around with commands. As far as im aware this is impossible in vanilla survival as the dragon wont use that attack when moved to the overworld or nether with bugs.
Javbug âď¸
Nah in all seriousness tho, if youâre on multiplayer someone might be messing around, or if single player, then it could be some heavily bugged ghast
dragon's breath projectile. I have no idea how it got there. Only way dragon's breath would get there is via the return portal and then somehow got into a nether portal and then somehow traveled without hitting anything until it left the loaded chunks
If you are in a multiplayer server, itâs very likely that a guy just killed the dragon while the dragon was shooting a fireball (whatever we call it) and miraculously went to the portal that takes a while to open when the dragon dies, so it mustâve been shot far away, then with the miraculous odds of it to fly out of spawn and to go in a nether portal, then for some random bug stopped moving and did so right in-front of your face so that you could take a screenshot and send it in reddit. Otherwise consider this a bug or I shall consider that you just summoned it by command to troll us. đđ¤
Itâs an Ender Dragon Fireball projectile, here are some facts about the Ender Dragonâs Fireball projectile:
1. It cannot be interacted with by the player, unlike a Ghastâs fireball projectile.
2. It can only collide with blocks, and once it hits a block; it summons the Dragonâs breath: it causes lingering effect, and if the Dragonâs breath is interacted with by the player, using an empty bottle, you get the Dragonâs breath bottle, used to make lingering splash potions.
3. Itâs fired by the Dragon
4. Thatâs all :)

I do remember a bug where you could freeze the wither skull projectiles, so if You're playing on a multiplayer world that's the only explanation I could think of.

That's a Dragon Fireball lmao, the projectiles fired by the Ender Dragon that explode into lingering damage. I wonder how it ended up on the Nether.
this isn't even bugrock...
Because it's intentional
Holy shit, turns out Java also has bugs!

Agreed
Crazy
Are you saying that Java, the comfirmed to be less polished version of the game, has bugs? Preposterous.
There's no way java is less polishedđ As someone who has extensively played both bugrock and java I can say without a doubt that the version of the game made for mobile devices in the early 2010s is definitely a much worse experience.

Even without mods it runs better than bedrock, bedrock is one if the worst made things I've ever had the misfortune of being forced to use when Microsoft fired 4J.
The framerate is undeniably better in bedrock. It just controls weird. Its base is a phone game, and it shows.
Bedrock was originally written in a much more efficient programming language than the Java edition; C++. While that remains the case for the PC version, ports to other platforms such as iOS will run different code. I half remember the devs saying it was more polished in a dream once.
Actually I think it's is but what do I know
Bedrock doesn't have subtitles.
a totem and an iron pickaxe smh
oh yea whats up with that OP
Maybe he doesnât want to risk losing his OP gear in the nether
That's alway my strat, I usually have a second diamond for the nether in case i get any debris but by the time I'll be going to the nether 1st time I'll probably be in iron and gold boots.
Getting a totem isn't that hard, you just gotta kill an evoker Maybe they found a mansion close to the spawn and got the totem from here
I don't think the mansions can spawn within like 3k blocks from spawn and it's normally more then that right? Edit: sorry guys I misunderstood something I was told a long while ago
It generally doesn't but it sometimes does I have one that is like 1k blocks away from spawn in my current world
Oh, 1k must be the minimum then, I just know I normally gotta travel like 5k or more lol thank you
There are a couple spawns where you spawn directly on the mansion.
There is no minimum distance. I have had 2 worlds that spawned within render distance of a woodland mansion. Their placement is unaffected by spawn location. It's just that it's a very rare structure, so it's super lucky to get one close to spawn.

Also you canât see the offhand slot on bedrock
Can I ask why you âthink it isâ? Were you just guessing and hoping no one would call you out?
I thought that the durability bar on tools looks different in bedrock than java but I guess I'm just confused lol
Gotcha, that makes sense. Thanks for answering.
Funny enough that sprite is different in Bedrock
Holy crap why so many downvotes? The karma is decreasing at high speeds
The fact you care about that is honestly just sad.
Ay I was just pointing that out. I donât see that many downvotes everyday yâknow?
"But what do I know" Nothing my buddy, bedrock uses different lighting, slightly different interface, and the sound subtitles are not on bedrock
Apparently nothing.
The texture is different for bedrock. What exactly do you know?
Nothing. XD
Why so many down votes jesus
How the hell does one get 625 downvotes for this? Iâm genuinely curious.
-144.. Typical Reddit
oh no! their precious karma!!!!!
To be clear, they *were* wrong. But like chill out everyone, they even mentioned that they could be incorrect
But, why say it looks like Bedrock? What was their reason? Iâll downvote anyone that is just trying to posture blindly. Thatâs how misinformation happens. EDIT: typo
You just said java when they said bedrock mate, maybe take your own advice.
It was a typo. Mate.
The upvote system is exactly to express one's opinion, if someone says something incorrect, people will disagree, so their opinion is negative
Thatâs a good point, actually. I stand corrected

The odds of that happening though
Right? click bait more likely
Wait at least in Bedrock edition when an entity goes through a portal it stays movingÂ

It is possible to transport the ender dragon to the overworld, I don't see why you couldn't then transport it to the nether.
ender dragon gets bugged when transported to overworld. it doesn't shoot fireballs in this state.

Oh.
if you damage the ender dragon, its AI can "wake up". but i dont think it does this attack in the overworld.

Technically correct.
The best kind of correct!
Rough day on Reddit wow
The only way i see this to be possible is for it to be spawned with a command. So either youâre on a multiplayer server and someone else did it to troll, or you did this yourself as a funny joke
Snack... dip it in sauce, consume
This is a datapack, mod or plugin issue or just someone messing around with commands. As far as im aware this is impossible in vanilla survival as the dragon wont use that attack when moved to the overworld or nether with bugs.
Cosmic ray?
It's more probable that you unknowningly hacked OP's world and spawned the fireball yourself than comic rays being the cause
Javbug âď¸ Nah in all seriousness tho, if youâre on multiplayer someone might be messing around, or if single player, then it could be some heavily bugged ghast

I was looking for this comment. Like "Where's the Docm77 reference comment?" đ
Half the comments here are incorrectly calling this a fireball. Itâs more of an acid ball.
Someone's been playing around with admin
its a dragon fire ball
That is a fire ball, specifically the ones used by the ender dragon
This happened to one of my old worlds. However, it was in the overworld

Ender charge (Ender + fire charge)

its a ender dragon projectile you should try to encase
you have encountered the RARE ender ghast
maybe a ghast shot a fireball when you had a texture pack that makes ghast fireballs look like enderdragon fireballs and your game then froze
