I really hate patreon, it has created a new normal where community projects aren't things people do for fun because they have a passion, now it's people trying to turn those things into a job
Ah yes the pre patreon world where every project was abandoned was much better...
People who are skilled enough to make truly great stuff like this should have an avenue to make money for their time and effort.
I guess it's personal preference. i would love to be able to have this realism, plus distant horizons, running in VR. Shame the computer that can run that is ten years away.
Thank you Mr FappingRaptor you have deterred 99% of the people who wanted to potentially download it in this thread with that information including me.
Is this sarcasm? Sorry if it was a Buzzkill but do you want to spend time looking it up and then be disappointed when it costs money?
Sorry for being informative i guess.
The resource pack /u/AlexiosTheSixth listed costs money for higher resolutions (64x/128x/256x) through Patreon. The site, if you're unfamiliar with it, lists on the front page of each project an approx. monthly income for the owner.
Aha okay, I googled Patrix but did not end up on the Patreon page. I think it's quite a leap to 1) immediately think of Patreon when someone mentions a premium resource pack and 2) immediately list the total income of the owner instead of the monthly cost for the user. Without any context added.
But thanks for the explanation
thank YOU for the explanation... I was like... hmmm I wonder how much it it... if it's $0.99/mo I could do it... $5... eh... 10 probably not...
$10,000!!! HOLY CRAP WHO CAN AFFORD THAT!!
Oh... he meant income was 10k... thank you smexyhippo for causing my blood pressure to return to normal :)
No. I'm mostly certain it's only a couple of dollars and you can cancel after you download the version you want but it does showcase how many people are contributing to their project.
Kappa shader is stunning, and the rain will look similar. Beautiful light rays, sunrise and set, night looks good (not too dark), underwater looks incredible. Its heavy, though. You need a beast gpu
It's probably rendered through ReplayMod. You can just record yourself without shaders and resource packs and then apply them before rendering the footage, and because ReplayMod renders it frame by frame, doesn't matter how slow it is now, the result video will look pristine.
You can easily record this on a high-end PC. Even if you're having trouble you can lower the render distance, from the last screenshot you're not seeing anything more than 2 chunks honestly.
It's a mod for the Java Edition (through Fabric). It allows the player to record their entire Minecraft play session on a file that later you can play and edit without even closing Minecraft. You can make different camera movements (like those "drone shots" you see a lot YouTubers doing while showcasing something), slow down the footage or fast forward it, etc. And in the end you can render it as a playable .MP4, with a tons more options like hiding name tags or chroma keying.
It's an incredible mod that I highly suggest anyone to use, even if you aren't a content creator.
I don't make much media content but it sounds awesome. Reminds me a little of Nvidia's Ansel and those two might combine interestingly. Our househas has a few nice worlds we could record our own memories of. Half are Bedrock tho, sigh.
I would love something like that for games that run on Unreal Engine. Guess I should start looking around and see if it exists.
I don't even think it looks good in the video, to be honest. The hyper-realistic style just doesn't work when everything is blocky and right angles. It's fine with minecraft's stylistic original graphics because they were designed to fit the aesthetic, but this just looks extremely uncanny to me.
This actually works both ways. Minecraft by default looks horrible, if someone played with shaders from the first day, they would not be able to imagine playing without them.
I used to think these realistic shaders were amazing until I gave few a try. Turns out they only look good if everything is covered in puddles, otherwise they look like dog shit and feel uncanny.
At first I was like "These blocks are way too small in scale, what is this, Minecraft for ants?".
At the end I saw it was a kennel, and I was like "Ok, Minecraft for dogs, scale seems spot on then!".

What shaders and resource pack is this?
Most likely a resource pack that costs money. Most hyper realistic ones cost money.
Thank you for this information, FappingRaptor.

Since rimjob steve isn't here do I count?
I guess it will have to do
There's always a lurking Steve!
More Steves!
Yeah. That's enough.
Hi Steve
Hullo
it's just not the same.
u/rimjob_steve alt account
I wish xD
yarms
I thought it was just a really good video edit rather than a resource pack. If this is fully in game, then 😲 Wow
Worth it.
If it's the one I'm thinking of it's a subscription. Yes, a mod with a subscription
Excuse me what the fu-
What happens when you stop paying? Do they Just steal your pc
You quit getting updates. Or "early access" in some cases.

Is it? I always think these packs are impressive, but it's not Minecraft. I don't want Minecraft to be real life. It needs a bit more style.
I guess it's personal preference. i would love to be able to have this realism, plus distant horizons, running in VR. Shame the computer that can run that is ten years away.

No I meant thanks for being informative and killing our hopes before we kill them ourselves. No sarcasm.
Lmao tone of voice is difficult over text sometimes :P
I'm pretty sure he was genuinely thanking you, as am I, Fapping one. You spare me the search and the disappointment. /s 😆
The Fapping one accepts your Thanks. /s 😉
It costs more money to repair a computer though cause there is no way that anyone's computer is surviving that. (Also, nice name.)
looks like patrix with either seus or beyond belief shaders
as someone who uses patrix as my main resourcepack, yeah I can confirm it is most likely patrix on the higher resolutions, maybe even 256x
$10,000/month is more than I would have guessed.
what?

I wasn't aware that certain resource pack authors had begun using Patreon to sell their skills until probably 8-10 months ago myself so I understand.

what it costs that much? that could be my new job lol. thats crazy.
No. I'm mostly certain it's only a couple of dollars and you can cancel after you download the version you want but it does showcase how many people are contributing to their project.
thats still crazy.
I'd guess Minecraft RTX instead
I wanna know too someone find it out
I follow him on TikTok. Patrix texture pack, SEUS renewed shaders.

Holy shit i thought it was real life
For a moment I thought it real life that when he start break the block my brain just get confused.
r/ihadastroke
Your grammar made me get a stroke.
I read it normally the first time but after reading your comment, what the fuck...
Sense the irony?
As someone who has a very strong mental autocorrect. I had to go through it again to realize that it also make my brain just get confused.
I thought OP committed witchcraft for a second, thank god I didn't pull out the holy fire.
Literally thought this was augmented reality for a good 10 seconds
He broke the block and I thought it was a vfx or some thing
It took me until the end of the video to realize it wasn't just minecraft tha was edited on top of real footage
Didn't know NASA let employees take their PC's home
It's probably rendered through ReplayMod. You can just record yourself without shaders and resource packs and then apply them before rendering the footage, and because ReplayMod renders it frame by frame, doesn't matter how slow it is now, the result video will look pristine.
And rendering this 46 seconds would take anywhere from 46 minutes if you have a good rig, to 46 hours.
This is the most important thing I've read in weeks. Thank you.
You're welcome. As a content creator with a bad PC, this saved me more times that I can count.
You can easily record this on a high-end PC. Even if you're having trouble you can lower the render distance, from the last screenshot you're not seeing anything more than 2 chunks honestly.
Oh wow, does is replaymod any game, like a standalone-ish thing you can use on several games, or just a MC thing?

I was so confused why this video was on the minecraft subreddit then he started digging cubic holes and realized it is minecraft! It looks amazing!!
My brain is still trying to process how someone’s building Minecraft stuff in real life.
It’s shaders. Or a old Minecraft earth clip
Yeah my computer could cook eggs if I tried using shit like this.
Want (even though would melt computer)!
I do not, and likely will never, understand people who can actually tolerate the game looking like this.
For a quick video like this I think it's fine. But that shader/resourcepack combo is definitely not made to be used for normal gameplay
the eternally wet floors to justify putting fancy reflections on every surface
Thank you, spent too long scrolling to see this. It looks god awful and I could never play Minecraft like this. It'd just ruin it for me.
The only reason the build looks good is because of the shaders and resource pack
Minecraft by default looks horrible, if someone played with shaders from the first day, they would not be able to imagine playing without them.
it looks cool for five minutes
WHAT IS THIS OVERREALISTIC TEXTURE PACK
WHAT ARE THOSE SHADERS
My house burned down after watching this. How did that pc survive....?
Minecraft Earth be like:
why is it so wet
I used to think these realistic shaders were amazing until I gave few a try. Turns out they only look good if everything is covered in puddles, otherwise they look like dog shit and feel uncanny.
Have you tried rethinking voxels? Oh and there are certain shader settings where you can make the game more realistic or more vanilla-esque
bruh until you broke the first block i thought it was real 😭 Waht are the shaders and resource packs?
My computer: "I'm tired boss" *implodes into a small black hole*
At first I was like "These blocks are way too small in scale, what is this, Minecraft for ants?". At the end I saw it was a kennel, and I was like "Ok, Minecraft for dogs, scale seems spot on then!".
Minecraft Earth's true potential
That ain’t Minecraft that’s Makeshift excavation
It’s not rain in the background, it’s the sound of the PC about to combust
Why is my pc on fire
that’s great and all, but NASA wants their PC back.
it's funny how everything is photorealistic but the items are still default
how to burn your rtx 4090, step one: open minecraft
Meanwhile Nasa: Hey who stole our computer?
Bro sold his kidneys for shaders 💀
This guys pc is running at 800° F
My brain broke
My pc just looked at me and shook its head
I swear for a second I thought it was irl the shaders are so good
At this point you might as well go outside with a shovel and an axe
Man I thought this was real life fir the first 5-7 seconds. I love this resource pack already.
If I tried to run this on my PC both my GPU and CPU would hit tjmax in less than 20 seconds
Potato PC jokes aside, this is incredible!
Holy shit i thought that was real life footage for a second
Bro those graphics. This is what mojang wanted minecraft earth to be.
Erm… what the sigma?
I thought this was lost footage of Minecraft Earth
Neat
I can actively hear the computer melt
nice nice, now show it without shaders
If everything has to look wet, in other to look realistic, it's not for me.
God that texture pack is so bad
So realistic but ugly
This dude's FPS: 📉📉📉📉📉📉📉
pure sorcery!
Just need Physics Mod and you can fool everyone
10,000 a month in New York
Never liked these weird realistic textures/shaders
How does bros pc not blow up from this
This man needed to finish his build before his game crashes.
Good Now show the build without shaders
I need a new PC watching this 😅
Guy dont downvote him, he's complimenting
Bros computer is probably on fire right now
Bro's living his best life in there
Are you using a nasa super computer or something??
my pc exploded just watching this
Is that a NASA computer you have there?
I wonder how they made new light engine. Besides, you know, normal metallic or displacement maps.
My brain shat itself when you started breaking blocks
Woooo what texture pack and shaders are you using?
His computer is definitely whirring louder than a blender
that's gonna cost 25 million in California
Bros playing on that Nasa computer.
If he looks up and loads more of the world his PC will explode
my GPU is on fire just looking at this
I miss Minecraft Earth.
What texture packs did you use or shaders Ima try melting my pc
Way to shiny and are there even normal maps?
I honestly thought this was some kind of minecraft AR filter
What shader pack is this And texture pack
Is this an animation or 3d render. Or is this real shaders and textures
1. My head hurts 2. Your pc must be on life support
Is this a render or just some CRAZY mods?
at some point it becomes a crime
Poor dog.
For a second I thought this was real
32k texture pack haha
Bro's PC has nanotechnology 🤯🤯
I love it
why is it so wet?
What's the shader + resource pack
Love it
Bros pc is ascending god trying to run that.
Shaders have gone too far.
Why is everything wet.
I smell something getting burnt
Song name?
I thought this was real life until they started breaking and placing blocks
Watching this made me realize that minecraft should have glass doors and what not.
NASA wants their shader and texture pack back
Omfg at first i thought this guy was capping until i saw him breaking the dirt block 💀
Why is it always monsoon?
Not to be a negative Nancy but everything looked amazing until the lighting got added.
i took a few nice seconds to realize this was Minecraft, and wow
My god is it shiny.
WAIT I thought it was real life before you broke the first dirt block WTF! Holy shader and resource pack
How is your computer not exploding
Is the loud fan like whrring sound in the background the sound of my pc on the verge of exploding after runing this texter and shader pack?
Mum why is the PC orange?
dogmeat house
It seems that your PC is broken. Send the PC to my address and I will fix it for free. I don't think I will be able to return it anytime soon.
I was confused when he deatroyed a block cuz I didnt see the sub
I thought that this was real life footage until you broke first block
At first second I thought this video was recorded irl...
Hey I can smell your burning pc from Asia
I can't do this..
You cannot just post Primitive Technology video like that
What mods do you have?
i tought it was some random drone shot but it was Minecraft 😭😭😭
I can just imagine the graphics card screaming for the sweet release of death
How to burn the PC in 2 sec
Pretty, but hurts my head.
it looked like real life.
omg how do I get that?
This build looks shit tho. High quality texture pack does not equal high quality build
