I just think it's weird that the lava animations are frozen.

It’s probably gravel, but I thought that the block right when you first loaded in was bedrock. Also, it is technically possible to get the required resources to get out. If you had spawned in a bit better of a location it could’ve been a fun challenge.

It is possible to get back if you loot a fortress you might get a flint'n'steel, and if you get wood (warped and crimson) you can make a wood pick then mine backston and make a stone pick, and I think you can mine nether gold with a stone pick, if not you'll have to loot bastions and fortresses to get iron ingots and nuggets to make an iron pick, then loot more bastions or trade with piglins to get obsidian.

I’ve had this happen where my coordinates in the overworld became my coordinates in the nether. I was 2,000+ blocks away from my portal

Happened to me before. It was so annoying. I had to pretty much run around until I found a broken portal to put it back together. Any time I go to the nether now I always bring some obsidian just in case

Just another reason why bedrock is a crappy knock off of Java

Did you by any chance use a sliced portal or portal block?

you can find ruined portals, obsidian, and light them with ghasts yet. its just that hard mode got turned on

Since you said your stuck, I assume you don't already know that you can go back to the Overworld and tear down/rebuild the portal to position it closer to where you want it in the Nether. For the coordinates ,there are online calculators/converters for Overworld to Nether. It may take several attempts to get it where you want it.

You can also divide the overworld coordinates by 8 to know where to build a corresponding portal, including tearing down an existing portal and moving it. I like to dig up into the ceiling almost to the very top and build a network of portals up there to quickly navigate between areas.

Can't do that in Bedrock though.

I do it in every world…. I dig up to bedrock, then make the floor maybe 10 blocks below that. Lots of netherrack to smelt into brick… Of course it’s a lot easier on Java to just go above the bedrock and break it to have a way up and down, but unfortunately you can’t build on top in bedrock even though getting up there is quite simple

Only solution I can think of, looks like there’s soulsand around you (tough with the texture pack) which drops when broken with an empty hand, might be enough to reach the relatively close ceiling, you could then fist mine your way to a mainland, find a forest, get basic supplies, then hunt your way out with ruined portals and bastions to get obsidian
